Golden Tulip

Walking distance from city centre, most happening place in Salt Lake, good service and polite staff. The hotel may be 3 star due to less space but great services/food make it four star hotel. Little noisy as there is open air rooftop lounge so avoid on weekends/public holidays. The in-house restaurant has great ambiance and good food.

Location is advantageous but the sports field adjacent to this property is unwanted as loud noise is persistent through out the night. City center is nearby. Rooms

Good Hotel, nice & clean rooms. Food are good & less costly. Staff behavior is excellent.

Clean rooms. Great service. Positive atmosphere. There’s a huge park (Central Park) located within walking distance from the hotel. Perfect spot for a morning walk.

Went to the rooftop restaurant for a party. The decor is cool with good view. You can enjoy jacuzzi with a drink and snacks. The big Ben @ lake town is visible. Moving metro trains is also a treat to eyes. They have live music as well.

Nice property to stay whether on leisure or work, but overall hotel requires maintenance badly. Food quality and the rooftop bar are quite good

I visited this place on Asthami to try their Durga Puja Special Bengali Buffet and it couldn't be better than this.

Located on the third floor of Golden Tulip, their staffs have golden heart in terms of indulgence. Specially Mr. Srideep Ghosh, who treated us really well from the very beginning to entire buffet. Golden Tulip may be a 4 star hotel for now but their service is not less than 5 star.

Ambiance is simple and elegant. Live music added a charm to the pleasant environment. Sittings are absolutely decent and classy theme here is perfect if you want to bring your loved one here.

Starters:

Some of the special starters of Durga Puja menu was Bok Phooler Bora, Angara Phool, Beguni, Potol Bhaja, Jhuri Aloo Bhaja, Phool Kopi Bhaja etc.

In Non-Veg Mangsher Chop, Topse Fry, Morola Macher Piazi, Noorani Murg was enough to define this special Bengali menu.

Mains:

In Mains as it should, it started with Luchi, Cholar Dal & Malai Kofta. Then moving to the pure traditional dishes Ghee Bhaat, Pulao, Sabji Dal, Bori Diye Sak Vaja, Aloo Kopir Dalna, Macher Muro Diye Sorse Sak, Fish Curry etc were available.

At that moment of time I was more than satisfied when they again served some special dishes that I forgot the name. But once again it tasted really really good.

Mutton Biriyani & Chicken Chap were also present as its all time favourite and that was cooked in their way. I took the Biryani several times, not to mention I liked the taste very much.

Singapore Noodles & Chilli Chicken were also kept for those who didn't went for Bengali dishes. But I think they really missed a great pleasure of taste.

Desserts:

Sweets those are very close to Bengali's heart like, Amrity, Sar Bhaja, Mihidana, Sandesh & Misti Doi completed this buffet in a beautiful way. Where Misti Doi was just incredible. Different types of Papad, Chatni, Paan were also available. Those items doesn't only tasted good, it fulfilled all the sweet cravings.

On a special day like Astumi traditional Bengali dishes can really make the day & Anti Plasti surely made my day with their wonderful food and service. I'll consider this place on every special occasion and definitely on next puja.
