Safari program not exciting at all. Offline morning booking available morning at before 5AM.ticket processing and ride start from 6AM slot wise.
If enjoy safari program then confirm online book at Jaldapara National Park and stay not Lataguri. It is my views and experience based on multiple area local public. However other than jungle safari like peripheral sightseeing is fine.

People who like to experience some quiter place they are welcome, but do not expect any animals to see.

I visited this place on 15th October, 2023. I had booked on line ticket for Jungle Safari to Chapramari WT. It was one of the worst experiences because we were taken to the WT through the highway and only after 2 minutes of entering the jungle, we reached the watch tower. We were told that the main route through jungle is closed due construction of some bridge.

Excellent forest.amazing wildlife.lovely jeep safaries and elephant safaries provide lifetime experiences.on a clear day one can see clear mountain views and specially mt.kanchunjungha.avoid the crowd of lataguri and stay in the amazing forest village of ramsai.ramsai is on the fringes of the park.there are many resorts here.overall an amazing holiday experience.those who want to do work from home staying in the lap of nature can always stay in ramsai.jio and Airtel both internet connections work very well.

My sir Dr. S. N Mishra and I visited Gorumara National Park from ICFRE - Institute of forest productivity, Ranchi. The main reason for this was the research work on Ecotourism included in AICRP-13. Located in the foothills of the Himalayas, in the Dooars region, it belongs to Forest type - 2. The world famous horned rhinoceros can only be seen here. I definitely recommend nature lovers and animal lovers to come here. There is a very beautiful resort near this forest, you can stay if you want. You can go on wildlife safaris here in the morning and afternoon. There are safari jeeps and guides for this. You can see the movement of animals from different watch towers in the forest. A great place to spend Puja vacation or summer vacation.

This is the national park in lataguri. The dense forest is very eye soothing and perfect place for wild animal.

The safari is nice but sadly we were only able to see peacocks and deers. The ideal time to see wild animals here is from December to March according to the guide. So plan your journey accordingly.

Expensive forest tour at Yatra Prasad watch tower. I had to pay Rs. 6200/- for 7 persons for forest tour by jeep (02 no.of jeeps). Just only got 5/6km jungle safari but seen no animals other than a couple of peacocks.

Place Is awesome but, Behaviour not good. Very very very Late service lunch Dinner breakfast everything. Room is Awesome but room service is not ok very bad water not come to the Bathroom pipe. & Very long distance from market.
But 1 thing Resort is Clean & Peaceful place.

Nothing to describe because if i starts then it will not finish. If someone wants then he should visit there without any hesitation.

Lovely place with a natural beauty. Feel the nature, intake some fresh air, spend a quality time. If you will visit this place You must fell in love with this place. You can take a Bullock cart to reach the watch tower. Beside you can see the beautiful tea garden. You can wait in the watch tower for watch animals pass through the jungle or comes to drink water, must take a binocular ir camera to see those animals. Overall it's beautiful Forest. From here you can also watch the great kanchenjunga mountain.

We booked personal safari but alas! It was too foggy and couldn't see anything except peacocks and peahens.
But the drive amidst the jungle was wild and fun.

I love the place. Beautiful forest. Asiatic elephant is famous. Bison wild boar are found in plenty. Many species of birds can Also be seen here. Many exotic resorts and hotels are available here for staying.

A must visit for all. Peaceful yet adventurous. A gateaway into the nature. A complete different world of the wilderness

Excellent jungle safari. Peacock is complimentary. If you are lucky thrn u can get visit of indian bison (Gaur), deers, elephant, wild boar, eagle etc. Medla watch tower is the best tower to watch wild animals at salt lick.
Besides Jatraprasad, Chukchuki, Chapramari are also famous watch towers.

Beautiful natural place to enjoy the beauty of nature without any noise of metro life. One should go with elephant safari to visit the jungle. With jeep safari, only few animals can be seen like peacocks and elephant.
And as per local people, it's all about luck to see the animals as they generally cross roads at evening and early morning.

Best forest I have ever visited. Too many old trees which we could find in here. Air of forest has rhythm. You have to book the ticket from government counter to get Jungle Safari. Timings are Morning 6 AM afternoon 2 PM and evening 4 PM. Post getting the ticket we will get h guide and a gypsy to go inside the forest. It's 2 hours trip inside forest. We encountered many peacocks on our way. Also there was baisan flock which we encountered. It great experience. It's place of elephants, one horn Rhino, baisan etc. Gyspy trip is must have experience. Forest is so big that there is low chance of spotting any animal very easily except peacock.

Beautiful Dooars, It has tremendous natural beauty, wildlife, birds sanctuary, clean small rivers and what not

It's not a guarantee you'll see animals here. You've to come like 4-5 times and just maybe you'll be able to spot a good amount of wildlife.

One can enjoy Jungle Safari here. Prior online booking required. Evening Safari is better in winters. Morning Safari during summers is preferable. Closed during rainy season

Amazing and adventurous place sure to fulfill the needs of the thirsty thrillseeker. Although spotting a wild animal will entirely depend on luck.

There is a buffalo drawn cart which travels approximately 500 m. Although it is not needed, but it is generating employments, which prevent poor villagers for cutting woods illegally. The forest department also organises a tribal dance which is also helping poor village women to earn money. But the watch tower has a bad side. If many people get on it, it starts vibrating. The common people don't understand that to maintain silence, all were talking but we were quite lucky that we saw a rhino. But the scenery was very good

Take morning safari. 1250 for a gypsy car. 200 for guide. 25 each for visitors. Six adults are allowed per car. Children under 8 needs 10 rs ticket. 20 Rs for video camera. Stand in the queue well in advance. Only 15 cars are now available per trip. Don't depend on agents for booking.

The best place ever visited by me so much so that I keep coming back to it. I was lucky to camp in rhino camp, thanks to the man at the booking counter, and that too during the peak season of the pujas. From the rhino camp, we were taken to the elephant stand on a bullock cart at around 4 pm. The elephant ride provided at the rhino camp, to the grasslands is full of adventure and fun. Animals like spotted dear, rhino, wild pigs, peacocks etc was spotted by us during the ride. We were charged Rs 6300 for 1 day but the money was worth it. In the evening we were treated to adivasi cultural programme. Food is included in the package.

It was an amazing safari in the forest. We have seen a big hard of Elephant, with male female and babies. A big hard of Indian bison, some deers, peacocks with little ones. Lots of birds. Two Rhinos. But as I think the forest has not enough extention for all these animals.

Beautiful forest with many endangered & rare vegetations & animals. Located in Jalpaigudi district of West Bengal, India, Gorumara national park is spread over an area of approximately 80 sq km. During last decade it gained it's popularity as a tourist place. It is established as a national park in the year 1992. This forest is home for famous one horned rhinoceros. This is the best protected area in India by MOEF (Ministry of Environment and Forest) from 2009. But animals are not safe due to poachers & destruction of forest & also a big cause is overpopulation of human. We need to create awareness to save them in order to save ourselves because forest give us all the primary things we need to live.

Great place.u may see few of bysons, deers, gondar (Rhinos) and mayurs.nothing else. It depends on your luck in the safari. Usually morning safaris are expensive are probability of seeing them is more.but No tiger at all. If lucky u may see elephants. Else there is lot of pet elephents (posa hati) also. A place for forest lovers and there are 6 watch towers in the gorumara jungle which you may visit individually in 6 jeep safaris. Each safari costs around Rs. 2500 for 6 persons on an average.

Place is nice specially for who loves nature and forests.national park is good but as a national reserve forest it hardly feels like jayanti which u can say a dense forest.foods are great very cheap weather is nice. Resorts are good nicely decorated.most has parking spaces.

Enjoyed the ride nd the beauty of nature. Although you might get disappointed with the No-show of the Giants.

It's a well known tourist spot. If you want to stay at the middle of gorumara you may try the KALAKHAWA BON BANGLO.it's situated just besides the naura river and from the watch tower if you are lucky you may see bison elefant leopard etc.

Amazing place. Rhino, Gaur, Elephant. Lush and verdant in the monsoon. Great natural beauty. Knowledgeable guides.

Good facility maintained by WBFDC. We spotted Rhinos by taking elephant ride. Very thrilling journey through the dense forest. Should give them 6 star if possible.
