Goutam's Restaurant

I feel the service has been downgraded over the years at this branch of Goutams. The unavailability of a few items from the menu and constant blabbering among the staff members ruin the entire ambiance of this place. The food however is still pretty decent. Be it tea or coffee or my personal favorite Crispy baby corn. Apart from these, I tried their Fish Pakora which was pretty good, not just mashed-up fish but proper chunks of meat.
Overall a good experience. They just need to work on their customer service.

Terribly disappointed, firstly it took 40mins of wait just to have steam momo with chicken and dead coakroaches, means the food was not just contaminated but also made and stored in unhygenic condition, really dissapointing, everyone of us family had had severe food poisoning.

Food quality is very bad.now I am suffering after eating that kinds of dishes, too much sauces are used in every dishes

Ambiance was good.self service.we ordered 1.mashroom pakora - (not good) 2.veg chow- (tasty) 3.cold chocolate- (awesome). 4.masala tea- (normal tea).

It's a hype in the area. One or two restaurants are required the area for Gautam to improve the quality and quantity for the value charged

We are quite regular customers of this outlet and often visit with friends as well for Tea and snacks. They serve awesome 'Fish Orly' among other items. It is a must try for all.

The behavior of the staff is very impolite.
My husband and I had ordered one crispy chicken and one chicken roll.
We waited for more than half an hour.
Crispy chicken was being delivered to other customers, but to is they were telling to wait.
Ultimately we came out without having the food. Naturally, the money remained with them.
This incident is in Newtown Al block Gautam's on 1st of April 2021

Very poor service.

1. No charging point inside the restaurant.
2.100% self service
3. No thermal check
4. No sanitization
5. Not even contact less delivery
7. No ventilation system
8. Quality of food is ok.

Well.it's not a CCD to start off with. If ones has the urgency to get some reports filed or do a outdoor meeting with team members, the joint staff would politely inform you that official work is not allowed in their premises over a cup of coffee or cold drinks. Even birthday celebration are to be done outside. I am simply stating what I saw during my visit. Its only order eat and leave. Maybe its their policy, maybe its due to this covid in the air. However food preparation is tasty. Prices are a bit expensive since the AC is also not running. Quantity could have been more. However a quite joint. There is parking for 3 to 4 cars. Good Neighborhood.

Veg Noodles - 8/10
Crispy Chicken - 9/10
Veg momo - 7/10
I would recommend to try Fish Orly and Crispy Chicken. I tried them previously and they were delicious!

Nyc place to hangout with friends and family. Love the place. Items are not so costly. Taste is very good. Interiors are very good. Service is also fast. I frequently visit this place and had almost all the menu items. All were very nyc.

Outer appearance of the place is very good. We fell in that trap. They have put all of their efforts in lighting and seating arrangement only. On the name of cutlery the give one time use plastic material. Food taste is below average. The water bottles became opaque due to wear and tear. When food gets ready, they don't announce order number or name they make noise with kitchen utensils to get our attention. As if this is not enough, there are Mosquitoes and insects. Washroom is very terrible. I can go on but I guess I have made my point.

The only place in that area which is the best joint for coffee and snacks.

Great momos, great rolls, we have tried crispy baby corn which was also good but but not great.

Tea is amazing and so is the coffee.

You doing get fresh lime soda.

Overall best place if you are in that area or near Novotel hotel.

Overall a good hangout cafe. Outdoor seating is also available. Have tried only chinese there, worth the price. Table cleanliness is an issue.

Good ambiance, clean, moderate price and verity of food and drinks available, specially the masala tea in earthen pots. It's always pleasure to visit them, often not crowded and one can get parking space. They have inside and outside sitting arrangments which is added benefit.

Food is superb.but some basic things are Missing.like a wash basin and a rest room. Also the staff needs training on the industry standard, Business etiquette and modern manners. A bit of customer friendly staff is the need of the moment. Otherwise food is the best in newtown area, Chai is special, Momo’s are equally good comparing other brands, chow is very standard kolkata style dish, cheese Chicken ball is very delicious.

Pathetic place. Good quality is pathetic. People are very bad. Even if they serve u bad food your complaint will not be addressed. U pay for good quality but u get rotten food and no one will listen.

A nice place to sit and enjoy cold shakes or a cup of tea coffee, but I won't much recommend it for starters like cheese balls and rollls.
