Govinda’s is a pure vegetarian restaurant run by ISKCON on Gurusaday Road. It offers Indian and Chinese cuisines, made with devotion and without onion and garlic. The Govinda’s Special Thalis are a must-try, as they have a variety of dishes such as kulcha, naan, peas pulao, dal makhani, paneer preparation, chole, boondi raita, salad, papad, and rasgulla. Somehow I did n't like food and service. I ate two times.but my observations were not positive.

The place still maintains the highest standards of food quality and service. Very pleasant experience.

What a delicious thali! Felt like I am having food in a temple. Everyone should try once if you are looking for a veg restaurant.

This place is Veg only. Prices doesn't justify the quality or experience, expensive. Though food is good and served with abundance.

The staff are rude, they just want you to finish and go. Bad hospitality. Not recommended. Even one star is more for this place.

Too overpriced. Ambience is good. Food quality is average. They used give good amount previously. But now, they have reduced the quantity significantly. One plate of rice is priced Rs. 250/-, but that is not sufficient for one person too.

Pure Veg Restaurant managed by ISKON. Good quality food and very good friendly environment. Car parking near by road is available.

Food was okay. It is not expensive. Dosa was very tasty but momo was not good. Club Kachodi was okay kinds. All items are not present always. Kindly reconfirm before placing the order.

For raitha, boondi is added instead of onions.

The best veg meal i ever had in Govindas.the quality of food and the teast is phenomenal.if you want to eat pure veg meal u should visit Govindas.and the Iscon Temple is always my favourite.

Bad experience, panner was not good at all. This is not hygienic and not good for health. We should not accept this at all.

Superb place for pure vegetarian food with multiple cuisines. Awfully clean with great ambience and very polite staff. Love the place, nice location, greenery and sufficient parking space. Divine place altogether.

Good Food Cravings. You have reached the right destination. The taste of each every items served here is just awesome. I have been here more than 10 times but still I feel to visit more. Though They do not mix onion and garlic in there dishes but the taste of the food just not makes you feel that. I love the interior and divinity associated with this place. A must visit restaurant in Kolkata specially for those who are looking for Pure Veg and Jain Food.

Had a very satisfying dining experience. The place was spot clean.seating arrangement was as per covid regulations. Attention by waiters was very prompt. They were very humble and soft spoken. Food was definitely good but not excellent. Overall a very good place for family outing.

We always go there on Navratra as this is one of the finest places in the city with food without onion and garlic, not to mention it's a pure veg restaurant.
Service gets slow on peak time as staffs are little lesser in no.considering the count of tables. Lovely food, mocktails were refreshing and dessert was also very nice. Must visit place with family.

I literally love the food. I mean its just the right taste for the mouth. Service is slow i won't lie about it. But not everyone will like the food.

Great place for pure veg lovers. This guys don't use garlic and onion also in there dishes, which just what I wanted. Great family place and staff was friendly and helpful. This place is managed by ISKON so they really have good standards. I would strongly suggest people should go with there family, provide they love pure veg.

It has nice ambience and serves vegetarian food with no garlic onion and has variety of options from Indian, Chinese, Continental and mocktail drinks. Good for family get-togethers.

If you do not like waiting to get a table reach between 7: 00 to 7: 30 PM for dinner.
The Main course is great infact perfect. Starters are not that great. Well Chinese items and soups are great.

The food here is amazing! The vibe is a bit dull due to covid restrictions but you can still visit with your family.

They make pure veg food without even adding onion garlic to it. But the food won't make you feel the absence of onion and garlic. I love their special thali and their bharwa aloo dum is a must try!

The experience was amazing the food was amazing and the service was also very fast.
Too bad no cold drinks and soda was not available at our visit.
It was mesmerizing to know that food can be tasty without onion and garlic.
Tomato soup was amazing and the quantity of the overall food was enough. We are unable to finish our entire order so i will recommend that you order carefully. (they will parcel the leftover so don't worry)

This place is just heaven. Had the best food on earth in 25 years of my life which is purely veg. Amazed to see the vast variety of food they offe, inspite of abstaining from adding garlic or onion to them, they taste so delicious. Also the staff members present here treats everyone so well as if they are worshipping you. Pleased to see their behaviour! And the decoration ️ Just Wow! Have no words beyond this.

Being a Non-Vegetarian at heart, Govinda's was truly a delightful change of sorts! That being said, the special thali was a truthful delight to have. Very well curated in a brass like tableware, the food was all the more delightful to relish. Excellent taste, very chic yet subtle ambience. It's a Vegetarian's match made in heaven for sure. For me, a tasteful culinary experience.

Every thing was nice. Food, staff service, ambience, cleanliness. You can visit the place with your family and friends and enjoy variety of dishes.

Top tier place and I went for a function here and it was pretty good. The food arrangement and the decorations and the ambience of it all is very holy and spiritual and a great experience.

Totally vegetarian restaurant. Run by ISCKON. The ambiance is really good. Price is a bit higher.

Food is good but in yellow dal you won't get arhar dal but Chana dal with other dal mix.
Handicapped persons facilities ramp is not there. You have to pull chair 2 steps by 2 persons.

Govinda's is a place where you not only get pure Veg food but also without Garlic n Onion, which is a restriction for many. Food tastes good, presentation is good, the place is very nice n clean with an aesthetic touch. Nice ambience. Got a rating less since overall it did not wow me!

Renovated recently. And has a an amazing ambiance. This is a pure vegetarian place serving food without even onion or garlic.

2 years ago we went there in a Monday, which is our veg day. We just ordered the menus they have and the mouth watering veg dishes fully amazed us. Value for money for the vegetarian people.

A very peaceful and healthy eating option. There is no onion or garlic in any of the items. There is a confectionery where sweets, pastries, patties, bhujia and a host of other delectable items are available. You can eat there or get is packed. In the next room is the restaurant which serves south indian, chinese and north indian dishes. Though all dishes are not available always the taste of the food is too good. The eating rooms are very classy with paintings of Lord Krishna on the walls.

Govinda’s Restaurant, is a pure vegetarian restaurant which provides a divine dining experience. Govinda’s not only serves pure vegetarian meals but everything served is first offered to Lord Krishna – thus the meals are not only tasty but truly transcendental.

They prepare healthy and hygienic foods, with ghee.
I've been to two of their branches in Kolkata - Gurusaday Road and Motijheel Avenue, and I simply loved their foods.

A couple of suggestions: -
their staff can be a bit more professional, though I must say each staff is very courteous.the restaurants itself can be made to look more professional.

Definitely, their food items are value for money!

This place serves pure vegetarian food and is good for family hangouts or get together. Do not look into zomato for the 700 for 2 as it is deceiving. One would be charged 500/person. The place has a good infrastructure and has a courteous staff.
IF THERE IS A PARTY OR TREAT ORGANIZED, MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT GET ANY OUTSIDE FOOD (eg. Cakes are even not allowed to bring in)
They should be a bit liberal in bringing cakes atleast and should take prior bookings for larger crowd.
Place has a good varieties of dishes starting from tasty soups to starters and main course to desserts. We had tried all sorts of soup, paneer Tikka, baby corn, tandoori platter, tandoori aloo in starter. Dal makhani and kofta was usual main course dish one orders followed by yummy "brownie with icecream" and "hot gulabjamun with icecream".

This place had changed a lot. Before hand it was a small sitted restaurant and now its a full fledge big restaurant. Decorations are awesome. They give food in brass plates and glassess. The manager was quite decent and helpful and suggested with proper food. To my personal view taste of dishes had depriciated a little from earlier dishes. Do take dessert n sweet dish from the adjacent shop because if u take the same dish in dinning place they ll charge the sweet dish jus double.sweet dishes are nice to eat. Cheese Nun is must to try.
