One great thing about this resort is the location, situated on an island on the Jaldhaka River. The location is just near the Bhutan Border. You will be amazed by the river sound all day and night.

The major problems of this resort are room and food quality. Very basic rooms with a higher rent. The food is too costly and not tasty at all. The owner should concentrate on the facilities provided to the guests, not only money. Overall, I suggest staying here only for location, nothing else.

Suggestion: You will be amazed by the road from NJP to this point. If you are here with your own car, last 500m drive carefully.

Location is good.
Rooms are overpriced. No geysers.
Fooding is just ok type. Room service is just ok.
Go for a written communication on your deals before booking. Else you might end up paying lot extra while checking out.

This place is located in a small island on Jaldhaka river. It's in a very peaceful & scenic location. Rooms are good as of Feb 2023 (Do not expect a 3 star or 4 star hotel room). Fooding quality is Ok (Remember this is not a 3 star hotel, but a good homestay at a great place).
Rent & food price are on the little higher side. Make sure you go for a written communication on the deals while Booking. Lady owner might disagree on the price & may charge you higher rates during checkout.

The only good thing about the place is its location.
Room quality is not at all good at such price. Food cost is much higher.
They charge chicken thali (dal, alu fry, one sabji and chicken) at a rate of Rs. 300/-
Fish thali is Rs. 260/-
Food quality so so but did not like the taste at all. Will not visit again.

The property is very beautiful. Rooms are below expectation. And the deal was not clear from the owner end. I felt it was kind of cheating.

Recommend but make sure about your deal is transparent.

View from this place is unpredictable. It's completely depend on your luck. But this place never disappoint you. Your every luck give you different kind of vibe this place. And if you are lucky enough then you can also meet some peacocks.

Heavenly beautiful place. Situated on the bank of Jaldhaka river. Weather is cool, resort is too much attractive.

Best place to stay. This place situated within river way and beside of hill. Back side view is amazing. Just love it.

Food quality is very poor & xpensive.dont go there. For ₹700 per person the food is not upto the mark

The location of the place is not good. Only the river is the attractive. The foods are worst then u can imagine. The charged for the food 700.but trust me the real cost of that bad quality foods not more than 150 rs for the whole day. Don't stay there. If u what to stay in jhalong then stay in RJ.

A splendid place to visit. You can hear the sound of river from the room. The food quality is also good.

'Sampat Agarwal' is the owner of 'Green Island' resort in 'Jholung' (Dooars - Kalimpong dist). I am from 'Calcutta' and therefore, paid him 100% of money (₹9800) towards advance amount in full and that too, 32 days before my scheduled stay in 'Mar'22. 'Sampat' was supposed to book a room in 'Suntaneykhola' for the first 2 days stay there and next, for another 2 days stay at his resort in 'Jholung'. After receiving the amount thru NEFT, 'Sampat' stopped contacting me when called or 'WApped'. However, I made my tour as planned and lodged at different places but went to 'Jaldhaka P. S. ' and lodged a F. I. R.against 'Sampat' for defrauding myself.
Thereby, the P. S.nabbed 'Sampat' from his resort and brought him to the P. S, where he was made to confess the offence and paid me back the refund amount of ₹9800/-.
The snapshot of the F. I. R lodged on 23-03-22 can be uploaded, if reqd.
Request all the tourist friends, to be aware of this person, who gets engaged in fraudulent practices and thereby, defame the tourism industry.

This place is one of the best homestay for tourists in Jhalong. From murti tourist spot, go towards chapramari-jhalong-bindu. People want to stay near river along with mountain must try this place. Fooding is also good. Their service is also very cozy, u can visit nearby places Bindu, Rongo.
