At a distance of 500 m from Kalimpong Bus Station, Haat Bazaar is a famous market place in Kalimpong. Situated in the city center, it is an important shopping hub of Kalimpong and also one of the great places to visit in Kalimpong.
Haat Bazaar is bustling local village market held every Wednesday and Saturday between 7 AM to 6.30 PM. It can be reached from Rishi road in Kalimpong. Villagers from nearby areas come here and set up stalls to sell their goods. The market is quiet popular and one can experience the true local flavors.
A part of the local tradition of Kalimpong, both locals and tourists look forwards to market days every week, a time when the city comes together and comes alive. The market sells clothes, umbrellas and bags on one side of the street, with fruits, vegetables, local and agricultural produce and spices on the other. The market is quite popular and usually means that most of the good stuff gets sold out, so it's advisable to reach here early in the morning. One can also try some tasty local delicacies at Haat Bazaar.

It's a typical hilly market place. Mostly, ladies are the shopkeepers. They sell vegetables, clothing, utensils, fish fruits and many household items. To get a feel of a hill town market, one may step in and get a first-hand experience!

Thursdays are organic haat days in Kalimpong when the local organic produce is sold exclusively. Eggs, Rice, local saags, butter, bamboo shoots etc.are available and popular.

A market bustling with people on Wednesday and Saturday where stalls selling local farm produce and products from the plains or places far away in the hills are displayed for sale. There are a few permanent shops, too!

Let's start with a honest review.
Dont visit on Sundays. Mostly the market is closed on Sunday.
ITS OVERPRICED AS HELL.
I mean yeah OK if you have a butt load of money you can shop here if I felt it's qlwaste of money. Atkeast garment shopping from here is totally waste because basically they import everything from Kolkata and then overprice it.
But then what to shop?
Souvenirs like the authentic food from there. Rice noodles / candy bars/ badam patalies / cocunut sweets / spices (a little costly but worth it).
Also while you are there, feel free to visit the authentic bag shop that sells "hemp bags". It is totally worth it and sells for less than online hemp bags. Also the shop owner is totally an awesome person. So if you have interest in small talks about the market, he is your guy.

This a good market place for the people 9f kalimpong.
Small farmers and traders assemble here to sell their products once in a week on Saturday and some permanent shops are also there.

Haat bazar is the busiest market in kalimpong town. But this market is closed on Thursday.
On other working days, you'll can get fresh vegetables, clothes in low prices and other kitchen items.

Very good place for shopping. There is a antique and metal Buddha and artifact shop which is very beautiful and many types of decorative items available

It is the main market in the entire town of Kalimpong. Here almost every thing is available for a very low prices. Most of the sellers here are very responsible and kind.

If you searching for a orthodox town almost same as a Hamlet type of market it is the one, you see people coming from all of the different places around Kalimpong to fetch fresh vegetables and meat, Wednesday and Saturday are the main day
