Pathetic, took sweets from your Ripon St branch & you guys are not serving fresh sweets. When you are charging the amount least you can give is good quality food. Wonder why they say more than 100 yrs old when you can’t serve decent fresh sweets. Highly disappointed waste of money…stop taking hard earned money of others & giving bad food in return.
Heaven for desert lovers. Though their price is bit high but the taste of their sweets cover up all. I recommend this place. One of the most elegant place to have desert. And their age old tradition is still there yet modern.
I purchased yellow rasgulla which was costly enough, thinking that Haji Alauddin is best in area, but when i serve it to guest it was tart and smelling. The quality is going down.
Iconic sweet shop more than 100 years old. Some of the sweets and halwas were a instant hit and some were a miss. This place is surely for the heavy sweet lovers because all the delicacies are made with 100% pure ghee.
Haji Allauddin is a potential hidden gem, especially during Ramzan. The place was crowded when we visited for their Battisa Halwa and Gajar ka Halwa and rabdi. Personally, I found the Gajar ka Halwa and rabdi better than the other sweets I tried. However, some of their other sweets were not worth the money.
One of the most famous sweet vendors in Kolkata. The demand of their sweets increases during Ramadan or close to Eid. My personal recommendation is Gulab Jamun and Battisa Halwa which you should definitely try from Haji Alauddin.
The quality of their sweet is constantly going downhill while the price keeps increasing. I think they should try to keep up with their years old legacy and brand name. Also some of their classic signature sweets have been discontinued and they are introducing all sorts of weird and fancy sweets which honestly is a big NO.
It's a heritage muslim sweet shop. Their prices are very high due to their reputation. Their specialise in Aflatoon Halwa and Mawa Laddo. You can try their gulab jamun, mansoor ans other sweets too as all are made with pure ghee.
Look, there's no metaphysics on earth like Mughlai Desserts. The sweets are really good l, specially Badam aflatoon, Batisshi Halwa, Dudhiya Halwa. Must try it.
If you're looking for some of the best sweets in Kolkata, look no further than Haji Allauddin. This legendary sweet shop has been serving up delicious treats for generations, and it's a favorite among locals and visitors alike.
There's something for everyone at Haji Allauddin, from traditional Bengali sweets like rasgulla and kancha gola to more modern favorites like chocolate cake and ice cream. The shop is always packed with customers, so be prepared to queue up! But it's well worth the wait - once you've tasted one of their delicious creations, you'll be hooked.
So if you're in Kolkata and want to experience some of the best sweets the city has to offer, head over to Haji Allauddin - you won't regret it!
In my opinion, they serve the best Golap Jamun in Kolkata with respect to taste. Golap Jamun is a must try sweet here. Seriously speaking, all the sweets are looking very yammy. Please try once.

Superb desserts are available here. One of the few worth the hype shop in Jakaria street. It won't disappoint you. Battisi halwa is a must try. It's so mouth watering. Besides there are jalebi, gulab jamun etc.which are also good.
Probably the most popular sweet joint in the Zakaria area. Located at Phearse Lane, this eatery can be your destination for the sweet craving after the Zakaria food tour. The most popular item here is the Battisi Halwa. Apart from that Muscat Halwa and Gulabjamun are also quite enjoyable. Apart from that, they sold amazing lachha during Ramadan. In the early afternoon they offer some fried dishes too.
