The place is located inside City Centre 1 so we were thinking that the food quality must be better but the quality of the food was very very bad and the price was very high so I must say if you are taking as much price you must provide proper food. Though we have ordered different diseases but can't eat.
Price of the liquor also very high we can recommend anybody to visit over there very pathetic experience
Edit as of 17 May, 2019 (3 stars) : I've dined at and ordered food from Haka some 100-odd times. However, today's visit was a rather unpleasant experience. It seems the price of the buffet has gone up (Rs. 540 pre-tax) and the quality has come down. Other than the Chicken Drumsticks and the Fried Rice, everything else was hardly satisfactory. The cottage cheese was nothing but hard rubber chunks, wontons tasted like home-made 'namkeens'. The chicken dishes were simply not up to the mark with tasteless meat and noodles tasted like those from any roadside stall. Dimsums were edible. Desserts were satisfactory with some delicious Mango Mousse and a light and airy chocolate cake. It'll definitely be quite a while before i go back to Haka, and it'll only be to decide whether today was simply an off-day for them or this is going to become a regular thing for them. I do not recommend Haka as a 'value-for-money' restaurant anymore.
Original Review (4 stars) : Nice place to have lunch at after shopping at City Centre or watching a movie. Highly recommended if you just want to hog down Chinese food (all- you-can-eat buffets at lunch) with friends at a reasonable price. Mixed meat fried rice is a must try item, Haka probably serves the best Fried Rice in the city. Also definitely go for Darsaan (Honey Fried Noodles) to end your meal on a sweet and traditional note.
Good food. Minimal oil and spice. The service is good. Try the nolengur ice cream with almonds for dessert. Rush hours are best avoided between 8: 30 to 10 pm. Around Rs. 1000 for two. Nice ambience.
My to go place Everytime I cannot decide what to eat and where to go! Haka has always been a very comfort zone of mine! Good food, good ambience and cheap food is a perfect combination! Their buffet is really good, and their food quality is very standard! I absolutely love their Chinese! A must visit!
We are a group of 16 people visited this restaurant for lunch. We went for buffet. There were only limited option and the food trays were emptied very quickly. We had to wait for long to get food.
The buffet was very good and tasty. I went there on 18th. May We all enjoyed it. Variety was good. Little details like kimchi salad etc were tasty. It is worth spending the money
The food is awesome. The ambience is also great and soothing. The only issue was the attitude of the staff. Unlike the previous visits, i was quite taken aback by this change.obviously in a negative way.
Haka is one of my favourite restaurant for Chinese food. They continue to innovate & offer different variations in the menu to choose. I patronise the restaurant & group for their healthy yet testy food.
Okay this is one of the best chinese restaurants I've visited so far. The buffet is amazing. There are innumerable starters main courses and desserts. The ambience of this place is amazing and so are the staff. If you're not taking a buffet you must ask the waiter for their specialties. They'll guide you the best. A must visit for a chinese food lover.
Very good place. Really good food. Now an offer is going on, unlimited cold drinks and eat 4 people, pay 3 people. I had buffet there, so I don't know about a-la-carte. The food is really great.
Not worthy to spent your hard earned money in this place. Ambiance is not at per standard. Old furniture, plastic glass. Food taste and quality not good. I don't recommend this restaurant. They only serves Kelzai mineral water which costs 85 rs plus taxes. Don't even try to drink restaurant water it's the tap water it is very bad in taste. Not worthy at all.
Haka located in City Centre 1 is probably one of the best places to have Chinese in the city. They offer mouth watering Chinese at affordable prices with good ambience and courteous staff. Must order from the menu is Crab Meat Fried Rice, Cantonese Style Noodles, Black Pepper Lamb and Chicken in Oyster Sauce. A must visit for all Chinese lovers!
A toned down version of Mainland China. But true value for money. If you have a basic craving for Chinese food and you have a tight budget this is the place to be. Their buffet is good and has good options.
Went to this place with my friends. Price is too high but it's worth the food. Quality and service is good. You'll even get chopsticks if you ask. It's under Kolkata's largest restaurant chain "specialty restaurants". You can trust it coz obviously it has a very prominent brand image which is worth mentioning. So, enjoy the food when you get there. Happy fooding.
The food is good here, service is better. You can get Bera white here. This place serves cocktail and craft beers. This place serves Indian Chinese food.
Food is no doubt it's good. But Haka lost its ambience, management needs to look into it. Specially during Durga Puja, it is over crowded. However guest handling by the waiter's are good. Overall I would recommend this restaurant.
The best Chinese restaurant in Salt lake area. Wish to have their buffet lunch, but unable to take so large quantity of mouth watering dishes. Therefore, we always order specific food. We prefer most mixed fried rice or chowmen with prawn dishes like chilli prawn or prawn in oister sauce. But desserts are very less in choice. Price is reasonable, around 1k for the above dishes. Recommended place.
