Hi, generally I don't share my opinion or review on social media but this time I had no ways left. Last time I tried their chiken Biriyani buffet few months back. Every item was so nice including the biryani with perfect flavours. Recently I heard that they launched the mutton Biriyani buffet but then I was out of town for studies. So, I was eager to come back and enjoy their buffet but I didn't know it was for a limited time and it will end on 31st. I am a bit disappointed to find out this since I got home on 2nd feb. I don't know when they are going to start this again or if they ever will. I would request them to restart this buffet as soon as possible again. I would love to go.

I know it's not that easy how I am saying to start this again and they must have some plan but I really wanted to enjoy their buffet because I love their Biryani so much. But my bad luck this time. Thank you.

Overall good restaurant with quality food along with good atmosphere it's a cozy resturant but the serving time takes too much

Homely environment and delicious food! In short one of the best place for food lovers if you want to try some special North Indian Food!

I have been ordering food from here and it is nothing exceptional compared to the price they are charging. Portion size is super small when it comes to desserts.
Highly overpriced!

First time I visit this place physically.
Ordered Delhi 6 & Fish Banjara.
Observations:
1) Location is very convenient. Five minutes walking distance from South City Mall/ Lord's more. Parking is there.
2) It's a small but well maintained restaurant.
3) If you are a fan of Bengali modern songs like Fossils etc then this place is made only for you.
4) Food quantity & price is perfect.
5) Delhi 6 is fantastic dish. Soft Tandoori chicken is tossed in loads of butter & cheese. খেলে খেতেই থাকবেন!
6) Fish Banjara is প্রথম প্রেমের মতো! গ্রেভিটা মনে হবে, শেষ কেনো হলো! ভুলতে পারবেননা কাকা. আর কত হাঁ করে পড়বেন? জান, গিয়ে খেতে বোসে পড়ুন

A fine place for dinning if you are fan of biryanis and other mughlai cuisines. We tried one of their popular dish (Delhi 6), which is must try. Also tried biryani, Chicken Pasanda, & Mutton Hanglabari. Ambience was really good, but if you're going at busy hours you may need to wait a bit for your order.

According to the taste the food was decent except the item Delhi 6. Spices are lesser according to me in both Biryani and Mutton Hanglabari, but thats completely personal opinion, you should go and try yourself at least once.

From Chicken Kebabs to Chicken Kosha- one destinatio- Hanglaatherium Lake Gardens

Hanglaatherium is such an old and well known name in the city which doesn't any need any special introduction.

? Location- Near South City Mall, Kolkata

The first thing to get attracted at Hanglaatherium is obviously their memorable artwork on all the walls. Ambience it's not a too big type place, but absolutely comfortable- ideal for adda, family outings.

From their menu, had tried-

Chelo Kebab- Rs. 385,
Pulao With Chicken Kosha- Rs. 230.

I personally liked the Chelo Kebab more since it was not a typical chelo kebab; but a bit Hanglaatherium modified chelo kebab which perfectly suited our Bengali tastebud.

In the pulao and chicken combo, pulao couldn't be more perfectly cooked than this- the thick, rich gravy of chicken kosha with a spoonful of sweet pulao- heaven, okay!

Point to be noted- meat was fresh, not at all frozen.

Biriyani and Delhi 6 tasted delicious. Was highly disappointed with the strong flavours of Chicken Pasanda.

Must Try: Mutton Bhuna Kabab, Pasinda, Biriyani (if you like less spicy biriyani)
I have Tried Hyanglabari as well, but Mutton was a bit Chewy. Otherwise very good place.

The place is small.no too much capacity. The menu is also limited. You can have a lot of combo options mainly for Indian and Tandoori cuisine. Had tried out thei Dilli 6 Kebabs which I must say is quite good. Apart from that I tried out Tandori Roti, Chicken Reshmi Butter Masala and Chicken Bharta.taste was so so.the biryani also heard was not so great.

Loved mutton biryani with the new addition to their menu rara mutton. Special kebab platter was too delicious! Ambience - good, hospitality was warm. Overall a good place!

Loved the biriyanii and reshmi kebabs. Absolutely awesome food. A must try during festivals and weekends.

I had never tried Hanglaatherium, a friend of mine insisted me to try out the cuisine from here. So I ordered Handi Mutton and Basanti Pulao (Sweet Pulao) and did the take away. Trust me the food was so so delicious and the quantity for 1plate was more than a person could have.

This restaurant was on my list for a long long time didn't had the chance to visit earlier, but today went there and enjoyed fully and after a long long time I can say price-quantity-quality ratio wise i am very happy and recommending everyone to have a lunch there atleast for once after that i am pretty much sure you didn't need any 2nd invitation to visit again.

First of dilli 6 was so tasty the green chatni they mix with the chicken and butter it was something outstanding. I didn't it has to try to with roti i was eating it by own then they told me to eat with roti.
Then chicken butter masala i think in kolkata they serve best chicken butter masala it was like Delhi Chicken butter masala and price wise they are giving 12 pc so it was enough and test was sumptuous with lacha porota
Now Chicken Biriyani, I didn't enjoyed it that much, don't get me wrong here, Biriyani was fantastic but you that juicy feeling, oilyness in your finger that was missing but very polite and gentle taste i believe it will not give you any trouble to digest this is just not like Nizams biriyani thats it.
Burhani a refreshing drink i didn't liked it very much, but once again taste buds are varried person to person. No dish was that bad.
100% recommend and we will visit again hanglaatherium.
Why I don't gave 5 star? Cleanliness was issue for me, there was a smell and i didn't like that at all. So look after that.

The experience was good and we have had dilli 6, polao, butter naan and mutton hanglabari. Taste wise it was good but dilli 6 price is little bit in higher side. Ambience was good and friendly. Next time will try biriyani, cause I heard their biriyani is really good.

Awesome Food, Super Awesome Hospitality and Great ambiance: The most underated restaurant in Kolkata.

Can I give this 8star?

To be very honest, Hanglaatherium is one of the most undereated resturant and any day serves better food at a so affordable price than it peers (read: so called Big Names).

If you love North Indian foods or a big fan of Mughlai Foods then before heading towards fancy names, try this place once - you'll never be disappointed.

Last Sunday, first time I visited this place and since then litterally me and my friend were having cravings for their famous Mutton Hanglabari and that leads to our revisit of this place with in 4days. Yes we are foodies but trust me, none of us were having this cravings.

I must thank, their super friendly stuffs more making our experience even better.

Now let's come to our recommendation, if you are visting Hanglaatherium for the first time-

Actually, you can try anything and everything here - their foods are so awesome and the best part they never make you wait for hours.

Again saying, fancy names and over exaggerated ambinace if not your priority, visit this most underated place of the town atleast once - Your tastebuds will get satisfied at pocket friendly price.

Very very poor standard at present. Initially biriyani from Hanglatherium. Now you simply deliver white rice with mutton
. Which is projected as mutton biriyani. The masala of the biriyani has simply vanished and I feel I'm having plain white rice with a piece of mutton. Disgusting and waste of money. And this has been happening in the past 3 or 4 times I ordered and the last time I visited. Waste of money

Very cozy and friendly atmosphere.staffs are courteous.the whole environment maintains a artistic smart approach.you can enjoy with your friends and family. The food is amazing.mild taste yet great flavours and u get the best in town without oil dripping from your hand.what else.go grab it

Visited for second time. Services were prompt and the food was delicious specially mutton bhuna kebab

Had a terrible experience with the mutton biryani and the rice was tasteless,
The mutton was very hard and top layer rice wasn't mixed with the bottom layer
So didn't the essence of biryani flavour.highly disappointing.

Now a days 'Hanglaatherium' is a very popular restaurant for its Biriyani. Few days back in the mid time of Durgapuja I had visited their Prince Anwar Shah Road's branch. Which is located very near from south city mall.
Ambience of this place is very nice with beautiful decorations and chair tables.
This outlet is spacious and they have seating arrangement of more or less 30 people at once.
I had tried Dilli-6 as a starter and one Big Chicken Biriyani, one normal Mutton Biriyani as a main course. I had also tried masala cold drinks for digestion.
Dilli-6 was just amazing in taste. Its actually Chicken tandoory tossed in green butter. It had 4 pieces chicken in one plate. Chicken pieces were so soft and infused with spices. They served one Nan with this as a complementary.
Biriyani was just Wowsome in taste. I had tried One Bigg Chicken Biriyani which had 3 large piece Chicken, 2 large piece potato and 2 egg. Chicken was tender and flavourful. Quantity of rice was so sufficient for 2-3 person atleast. Also ordered one mutton Biriyani which was also mind blowing. It had one large size mutton with one potato and one egg. Mutton was so soft. Overall Biriyani was just wonderful in taste.
The taste and quality of each food item during pujo is just awesome. Which is so appreciative.
Quantity and quality of each item was enough and upto the mark. Service is fast and staffs are courteous and helped us to choose the right item. Prices are appropriate according to the quality and quantity of food.

It's indeed a memorable day I visited here with my mama who is no more with me. We both had sumptuous lunch with mutton biryani and chicken kosha and firni in dessert. Cozy place.

Went for a takeaway. The food was quite good, but for the prices the quantity could be little more. Ordered Chicken Delhi 6 (which is based on the roast chicken in melted butter found in the lanes opposite Delhi Jama Masjid). Chicken Kasha was very delectable.

Best biryani I have had in Kolkata so far. The biryani is tasteful yet light enough not to cause bloating.

This was my first visit. Being a biriyani lover I must say all the dishes were mouth-watering. Specially the mutton bhuna kebab.lastly the behaviour of the owner was cherry on the cake.good job guys.

Which has a slight bitter taste, but good.
They don't serve half plate of any items.

This is an amazing bistro with very reasonable food options available. The food served here is extremely tasty. They are famous for their Biryani and rightly so. Their Biryani is extremely lipsmacking. The Biryani Combos are good options and you may try them. Recommended!

Value for money and truly delicious foods are available. But change your handwash, it smells musty and tremendously bad.

I went there to eat. Trsut me not not so tasty food. Being a foodie i must warn you not yo waste your money. And their behavior, well sometimes i felt it was not a place those who doesn't like brabble.

Great location, great food (their biryani, chelo kebab, and non-veg sides are worth ordering), average ambience.but the service can be a bit slow sometimes - one star less for this reason.

Few days back i have visited this restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant is decent. Now coming to the food we have ordered one chicken Biryani combo and one chicken Biryani. Chicken Biryani combo consist chicken Biryani, chicken chap one pc, salad and raita. The taste of the food is just mouthwatering. One of the best biriyani i have ever had and the quantity was huge. Overall just awesome experience

Manager should learn how to deal with customers.at 1.30pm they told nothing was ready to eat.no one was sure what to say.if they weren't ready.why open the restaurant at 1pm? Pooor service

বিরিয়ানীর স্বাদ অসাধারণ ছিলো।
পরিমাণ অনেক বেশি। তবে Mutton টা খুব শক্ত ছিলো সেটা নরম হলে বিরিয়ানী টা perfect হতো।

They offers very delicious biriyani and kebabs. Their biriyanis are so light that you wouldnt feel heavy after consuming a good quantity of it. Kebabs are very juicy and soft. I have tried their Reshmi kebab, Kebab platter and manybother variants. A bit low on space, so in rush hour you may have to wait to get a table.
Their service and behaviour is professional, warm and welcoming.

Nice place. I loved the biriyani, very light but super tasty. Must try Mutton hanglabari and chicken pasanda.

A very friendly and cosy place. Prices are within reach and the taste and quality is fantastic. Biryani combos are great. Chicken tandoori butter masala is another speciality of here

Variety is limited, but quality of food specially like Biriyani is too good.

Ambience: dull and unwelcoming

Menu: 2 pages, In all 50 items (including water, soda, deaserts) of which 40 items were not available

Cutlery: Stinky and smelly, had to change glasses twice and still had to drink water straight out of the bottle, Pathetic

Staff: Unfriendly, Rude and "dont give a damn" attitude towards customer. Our waiter was like, khana hai toh khao or else there's the door. NEVER visiting again.

Food: Tasted good, quantity was avrage, quality above average.

My take"If you want to try out this restaurant, I suggest you order food home and not go there to dine".

On this Saptami we were a group of 7 and were late for lunch, which means it was very difficult to get a place due to Pujo crowd. Finally, we zeroed down on Hanglaatherium and I am really happy that we decided so. There was a wait time of 40 minutes which is quite acceptable considering it was Saptami lunch time.
The place is not big but have some nice wall hangings. They were managing the crowd quite efficiently. But what surprised me was how well they maintained the taste and quality of food even during Pujo, which is a rare thing in Kolkata.
We tried the following items and I recommend all of them:
Mutton Bhuna Kabab – Loved the soft and flavorful mutton pieces
Dilli 6 – Chicken Tandoori in thick butter and curd gravy. A very popular item from the streets of Delhi perfectly recreated by Hanglaatherium. A must try from the menu.
Mutton Hanglaabari with Plain Naan - Awesome
Mutton Biryani – This is without doubt the best biryani I had in Kolkata on this Durga Pujo visit.

Nice ambience.with well decorations and well behaved staffs.food is not so oily.healthy food.expectations at its level best.satisfied with the foods.

Food was good. Quantity is also good. We ordered a chicken biriyani combo which comes with chicken biriyani, chicken chaap, raita and salad. Raita was not as good as I expected. Instead of making it sour, they made it sweet. Apart from that, the biriyani tasted good and the chaap was tasty as well.

Well there was no scope for lesser stars hence 1*. Mostly on account of 2 reasons: -
1. Food is stale, precisely the chicken was very stiff. Not done. Food quality is something which you cannot compromise on, being a food outlet.
2. The behaviour of in-house staff is extremely rude and arrogant (specifically the so called gentleman sitting at Cash).

In a hospitality and service industry serving food and service the aforesaid 2 strong points cannot be compromised. Hope this message goes to the management for needful actions, if at all you are here for business and grow henceforth.
