HIMAWAS HOMESTAY DARJEELING

Really nice stay over there during Christmas time. Well maintained property. Standard room size. Neat and clean bathroom and other areas. Sufficient water. 24hrs water supply. Complimentary breakfast was superb. Amazing view of kanchenjunga from Terrace and Common area. The young lady look after the guests is very kind and ever smiling. The owner is helpful to answer all the queries. Little far from the mall.

We stayed in a family room from 30th May 2022 to 4th June 2022 n the room was very neat clean well ventilated with hot water geyser in attached bathroom. In a single word I ud say homeawas home stay is a home away from home with all modern facilities. The gentleman Mr thakuri is very polite and well behaved person along with awesome food prepared by Reena a gentle smiling face girl.wWe enjoyed a lot there and I must recommend to stay at homeawas home stay to all family as well as solo travellers. Overall ranking must be 10 out of 10. With regards and love to all homestay members.

Our time @ Himawas home stay was hassle free and met our requirements in terms of the in-house services and hospitality. The WiFi worked uninterruptedly as we were on remote work schedule.
Khushika Ji was prompt and responsive to our queries over WhatsApp and calls.
Reena di is the face of Himawas and she’s living upto all expectations. A brilliant woman with hard working skills, along with daju who’s equally kind.
Her contagious smiling personality wins hearts as she was sweet enough to accommodate our food needs, as I’m on a plant-based diet.
Especially my customised demand towards black tea with ginger and pepper. ️Her positive approach to things and a YES attitude is something that I’m confident makes Himawas a cozy, welcoming & a re-visit space on the travel itinerary for many.
Darjeeling and the Gorkhali community indeed are hospitable, helpful, fun-loving, by their DNA and I’m glad that places like Himawas are living by these innate qualities of the wonderful, nature’s paradise (Darjeeling) despite the growing chaos, urbanisation and negativity outside.
Undeniably It’s the people and connections which overall adds much value to our living experiences.
I wish Himawas team good luck and urge them to continue this authentic service towards all their guests and humanity in general.

Highly recommended homestay in Darjeeling. Full Kanchanjangha range can be seen very closely from rooms. Room owner Thakuri ji is very dignified and affable person. Homestay is managed by his daughter in law Khushika also very polite. All rooms are cosy enough, each room occupied with android tv, tea maker, heater bed, and they served complementary breakfast which were just awesome. We spent very memorable and joyful days there.

I was on a solo trip to Darjeeling from 30.09.2021 to 04.10.2021 and found this little gem located in the heart of the city. The homestay has excellent views of Kanchenzonga range and the Darjeeling city skyline. The property is very nicely maintained with elegantly done up rooms having nice little touches all over. They don't treat you as just guests and after a few days over there you develop a family bonding with them. Their hospitality is just just overwhelming. The morning cup of Darjeeling Tea they offer is heavenly. The Paratha-Sabzi-Omellette breakfast in the morning and Veg Noodles with hot Cabbage soup in the dinner were out of the world. The cute old man who doubles up as a caretaker is extremely knowledgeable about the trivia associated with Darjeeling.

I would surely come again to this place along with my family. ️️

Such a beautiful accommodation with homely environment. Owner are very caring.also budget friendly.

A great place we found through AirBnB. A kind family that has tasty and affordable vegetarian (and non-veg) food options for meals. We went during a cold week and we appreciated their facilities: hot water, heating pad for the bed, a hot water bottle to warm your hands, and complimentary coffee and tea. They also have great Wi-Fi, helped us with laundry, and made sure we caught the nice views of the mountains when the rain and clouds finally lifted. We found Darjeeling easy to explore by foot from Himiwas. We had a very comfortable stay.

The kanchenjunga can be seen from the home in season where the mist is minimal. The food is tasty and the owner is very generous.

Want a view of majestic Kanchanjunga, look no further Himawas provides all modern amenities The property has 3 floors out of which 3rd floor consist of 3 bedrooms with toilet.each bedroom has a separate unique access which guarantees privacy.apartment also provides access to functional kitchen and the family also serves local cuisine based on request. This property is ideal for budget family trips.:)
