Very poor quality of sweet in Kolkata. Taken Doi 100 grams and they only sale Misti doi in tak (sour) taste. Wanted to eat one Jalbhara. They said Ghat sandesh have honey inside as Ras like some other good sweet shops of Kolkata. Eaten full in front of them by showing level to level. Not a drop of liquid found. Staffs started bickering to prove we are wrong. Seetabhog is chanar polao and also not of good quality. Remarks please don't go unless you want to buy Guzia.
Most pathetic samosa chat and chhole bhature I have ever had. Avoid at any cost. You taste buds will curse after having food here. All attached photo are left over.
Bought Chhanar Dalna, Kalakand, Sonpapdi & Shorer Nadu. Shorer Nadu was alright but rest of the items were just ridiculous. Chhanar Dalna tasted bitter as there was no chhana inside them. It wasn't solid and had a bad smell in them. Kalakand was dry, hence wasn't upto mark. Lastly Sonpapdi, was very moist and had extra sweetness in it which detoriated its taste too much. Was purely a wastage of money buying these items.
Unhygienic Kitchen Ordered Masala Dosa, after almost finishing up I found a filthy bug I felt almost like vomiting, and worst thing the staff didn't even apologize rather started arguing as if it is their right to give bugs with food. The person showed such rude behaviour as if it was completely my mistake. And after a while they just started to ignore and we walked out.
Hindustan sweets the so called famous sweet shop.the outlet near jadavpur just near 8b bus stand is just worst.starting from customer behavior to their quality of food.the lady near the reception counter is extremely slow. I ordered 2 plates of dhokla 200gms rabri 200gms mihidana 2pcs of kalojam and 2pcs of kalo Goja.at first the lady took 15mins just to take the order as she was finding in her computer the food codes.secondly she took wrong order instead of 2 plates dhokla she made a bill of 1 plate.now coming to collecting the food. The staff who was giving us was very very rude. He was arguing with me like anything.when I told him the mistake was from the lady's end that inspite of repeating several times and taking such a long time she couldn't take proper order and it's not possible to stand in the queue again.the man started arguing that I have to stand in line in order to get another plate of dhokla.after raising my voice he then said okay pay me the money I will give you.second coming to food quality. RABRI WAS STALE, DHOKLA WAS HARD, MIHIDANA WAS MISSING FROM MY ORDER. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. PLEASE REFRAIN FROM PURCHASING FROM THERE.
I HOPE SOME STEPS SHOULD BE TAKEN AGAINST THE STAFF BEHAVIORS AND FOOD QUALITY.
Nice and beautiful Sweet shop located near Jadavpur 8B bus stand. Rasogolla, Curds, Rabri, varieties of Sandesh are also available in here. Some another kind of testy food like Dhosa, Itly, Panipuri, Chola - batora etc.are very good here.
This is the best place for veg meals The quantity of the food as compared to the price they charge is just worth it U can enjoy ur meal here along with all sorts of Bengali mishtis, mishti dahi, aam dahi as well milkshakes, lassis, fruit juices and many more
Their quality of sweets is consistently good. Went after almost 8 years and still the same taste. Their kanchagolla and pranohara are my personal favourite - very soft and not too sweet. Location is prime - just next to 8B bus stand. Pricing is competitive. Hygiene standards - well maintained.
Just near of 8B bust stand Jadavpur. Quality sweets are available here at reasonable price. Besides sweets chole bhature, dosa, golgappa, chat, dahi vada available here. Price is little bit expensive but quality is good. I have tried here gulab jamun 16 per piece and kaju barfi (small) 15per piece. One major problem is there, they don't accept online payment.
One of the chic and best sweet shop of Jadavpur area, there baked Rosogollas are super delicious and are too die for. I have been a regular customer and the owner makes you feel homely.
Don't buy. Its rotten I bought Masala Dosa and IDLY for dinner and it was old stuff and was tasting sour. When i went to report saying it was a rotten stuff he started arguing. Very unprofessional staff.
Won't recommend, you spend those extra cash everytime here. I myself won't! Those "Telebhaja" shops near 8B have another charm all together. But just give them a try if you happen to be around here.
The Vada Pav was so well made! Perfectly fresh soft Pav with a spicy spicy real spicy Aloo vada! Oof, if it wasn't for that Sweet chutney, I would definitely have to get myself a Dessert! "Spicy Food Alert" The Dhokla was pretty well soaked in Sugar syrup, I loved the freshness of the food here. And finally the lassi! Always make sure, you try the lassi from Hindusthan Sweets. You can't miss this. The curd used is so dense, the lassi is so dense. Fresh fruits were used in this.
It's one of my favourite place. I have a sweet tooth and I go crazy when I visit this particular joint. All the items are excellent. I just looked love it.
We opted for home delivery from this outlet. We ordered a plate of sambar vada and two plates of chole bature. Needless to say, the taste of the chole bature is absolutely delicious but I personally found there's too much of oil in it. Sambar vada is not too great. It is below average. I would not recommend anyone to go for it.
The quality of the sweets are very Good &Price are also reasonable. Here also available Suger free sweets. The best sweets of shop is pesta Berfi, & Rabri
This outlet of Hindustan Sweets is very well known. Sweetness and freshness both are up to the mark. Today I tasted…nolen gurer rabri and puffed sandesh. Go and enjoy!
Hindusthan Sweets is having a Pithe-Puli Utsav where they are serving a huge variety of traditional as well as fusion pithes, patishaptas and payesh. They also serve sugar free payesh and pithe. This outlet is located under the Bawarchi Restaurant in Jadavpur 8B. Prices of these items start from only 15 INR.
Such bad servicing and behaviour. I ordered Raj Kachori Chaat and pieces of stone were found in the chaat and when in return they brought another plate to cover up their mistake and it was such a gross. Tasteless and without proper spices. Just a waste of money. Really needs to improve their service
One of the oldest sweet shops of Kolkata. Now its overhyped. Pricey considering the quality and quantity. It has lost its touch of a traditional bengali sweet shop (mishtir dokan).
Winters mean cozy afternoons reading a novel and eating your grandmother's specially made nolen gurer pathisapta. Now that I live away from home for years it's been quite sometime that have eaten pithe that reminds me of my childhood ones. Although today I had a gastronomic experience at Hindusthan Sweets at the launch of their Pithe Puli Utsav launched by none other than Kushal Chakraborty. The choices are varied and the taste is surely lip-smacking.
MAWA PAYESH GURER PAYESH ROSH BHORA CHUSI PAYESH BAKED PATISHAPTA
This old and traditional sweet shop is situated at Jadavpur. There are many branches in kolkata. The quality of sweet is good. Some special sweets are available. Price of sweet and snacks is on higher side
It's a sweet shop located in Jadavpur. Varieties are quite big. Prices are reasonable. They have organic sweets also which are made without any chemicals and so not used refined sugar. Staffs are friendly.
Good and efficient management even when crowded. We ordered masala dosas and they were delicious! Its the only total veg good eating place near about and it certainly keeps up its reputation!
Ok for few people. But according to its a confused food outlet.trying to sell everything from traditional bengali sweets to South Indian snacks to north Indian chat. What are they up to!
I love this place, because of their varieties of sweets and snacks. This sweetshop is too old and you will find so many memories in their decorated wall.
A renowned sweet shop in Jadavpur area, sweets are pretty decent, but the pricing is very high. Though I love the quality of sweets they serve. Their rosogollas and kalakand are a must try. The service is good, keep up the good work.
