Old hotel with refurbished rooms. Amenities are there, but rooms can be cleaner. Food is decent, but the prices are on the higher side. Location is good.

The decor and the service has fallen and there are rust, patches are falling here and there. Apart from prime location, rest is 4 star and not a 5 star hotel

Parking is a problem. They don't have adequate parking space and will send your car off to Lee Road or even further to park. This becomes a problem when you want to leave

Over hyped for no reason at all. Lax of security is a concern. Skimpily dressed hormonal teenagers as well.

Good experience in terms of staff behaviour, food was average but the rooms really need renovation.

Very nice hotel with good staff and nice hospitality. Location is very prime in center of the city and nearest to all major tourist spots of Calcutta. Little bit expensive for normal people. Overall nice hotel and rooms are mostly smoker friendly, also very good staff and house keeping makes your stay comfortable.

Rooms are of old model. Bathroom fittings are loose, there was no cap of the bathtub, no bathroom mat, no bathrobe, room floor was dirty. Overall, not at par standard of a 5star hotel. Service was good. Food was good. Had a delicious breakfast.

Very well maintained and recently renovated. Stay was very comfortable. Staff were very friendly. I had only breakfast there which could have been better. Over all a good place to stay

Mong the HHIs i have been to, this is the lowest performing. Can't say it's bad, but the other ones have raised the bar of service so high that this doesn't live up to the expectations forged by the other HHIs

Everything is ok.we have enjoyed at underground but the fact is the club authority falsify us for the unlimited food and drinks @Rs. 2500 perhead stag because there is no such facility. We have queried for the same but they didn't reply as if they don't care. My only grievance is that they should have informed us before on the time of pre-booking.

Banquet was not maintained properly. Broken at places not well maintained. Food was not upto the mark.

It’s UG pub in HHI. Near about Rabindrasadan metro station. Underground in Hotel Hindustan International. I had lots of fun in ug. Many times I was visit there. It’s very friendly atmosphere.

A once great hotel now getting old. Needs refurbishing. But a very central hotel and reasonably priced.

WE HAD FAMILY FUNCTION AND ENTIRE SERVICE WAS FULL OF SATISFACTION DURING OUR THREE NIGHT STAY RECENTLY.

We booked conference rooms for two days. Condition was pathetic. Food quality was quite average. Staff untrained.

Horrible place for stay.poor housekeeping, poor guest handling at reception, in no way the hotel met 5 star standards.

I don't see anything as a 5 star hotel feeling and experience here at HHI when compared to Hyaat and Bengal ITC. The quality of service guy clothes are poor than the outside beggars. Seen service guys clothes are torn out. Complimentary breakfast was avg. Poori was the repeated twice during my stay. Ambience is avg. Some repair works were going on during our stay. Could have been atleast avoided during guest stay at breakfast session. Bathroom interior are very awkward. The door hinges and fitting are 3rd class. My wardrobe door dosent close as it has hinges issues. The toilet fixtures are rusted and working fine.

Venue was perfect, with all amenities. But the food was below average. Went to attend a wedding.

Ac is so loud and noisy (dirty too) that it disrupts your sleep

Poor rooms because the rooms have pungent smell, the washroom are small and poorly designed because the washroom’s main mirror is pathetically designed to be a small side view mirror only. No ventilation in washrooms. The mattress, pillow and bedsheet are torn out and stained. Moreover, the food quality is also very bad. They should do renovation and add modern features in their rooms and especially washrooms.

Staf behaving very badly. Or security guards didn't know that how to speak geasts. Sometimes they are uses slangs on guests. And i personally verified all of that.

Worst club in India charging 1500 for entry and after that they are serving only corona which will cost you 1500 for a small bottle of beer pathetic never vist this place.

First of all, it's not at all a 5 star hotel. Very old building, infrastructure and amenities hardly matched 3 star hotel. Only good thing is it's location. In the heart of City and close to all important/famous places.

Due to pandemic, the situation is not up to the mark, so everything is in compromise situation

Past it's Prime. No central air-con working. Took a/c also v old n noisy. Restaurant very dimly lit not welcoming enough though ppl were very polite. Needs total revamp

I guess a hotel claiming to be a five star doesn't stand on its word, The desk staffs are arrogant and are unable to handle a simple request even, food is just okay, rooms are old and dusky. Its just one of those average three stars hotels trying to mimic a five star hotel service. Other things are just okay. Horrible reception support system.

Towels damp n smelly.
For room of 2 only one towel given.
Only plus is staff is poilte n helpful.

It was the worst experience I have ever had. I stayed for 3 nights and in that time I have to change my rooms for 3 times. Even the last 1 was a nightmare.
All ac are old have become yellow and have leakage problem.walls are filled with damps. Plaster and paint are coming out. Bathroom flush doesn't work. Rats all around. Was my Last visit.

Worst experience ever. Rooms are very small as compared to price. I've been on many 5 star restaurants which are half of this hotels price but still are way better than this hotel. Food quality is extremely poor and restaurants are very dirty with flies flying around. Money is very precious and we all have worked hard to earn it, don't waste your time in here.

No service was provided on time. Each time isf u want something then wait for 2-3 hrs. Communication gap between staff. Never recommend to friends and family.

I stayed for 2 days there recently. I had nice experience there. I checked in before time but on reception they didn't make fuss ABT this I liked this attitude. I checked in they gave me key n envelope but no-one there was to guide me to my room when I asked them then a person came for that I didn't like this.when I enter my room it was super clean. Room was medium size cozy, 1 light was not working in corner n bed was small for I m 5feet 6 inch only still founded small.awesome experience in terms of nobody disturbed me as I went for my exam. No unnecessary call to ask. I love this thing. Next morning breakfast was very tasty with much options. One thing I didn't like when I was checking out my cab declined as I was in hurry to catch my train but they didn't offer me to drop at hwh station. Overall 4

Facilities and food are the below average according to the price rates. I will suggest to choose somewhere else if you are choosing this place to live.

Good but One cashier vikramjit (45-50 yrs of age) was very rude, worst behaviour. N very much unpolite. Simply Untrained fellow n not fits in Hotel Industry.

The hype is more than anything but vast portions are unattended and food not upto the mark. But the ambience inside HHI is good.

Great place. Very neat and clean, nice behavior of hotel stuff and if u go there, always have your dinner at the buffet. I loved the baked mihidana and chicken hariyali kebabs.

The best part of this hotel is its underground bar which is known as UG reincarnated it is one of the best disco club i hv experienced in kolkata the atmosphere is very good and friendly to have a perfect evening with ur loved ones.food and beverages are also available in gud budgeted price.

Very bad service, house keeping takes 3 hours to respond, manager Mr Chakravarti when asked was out of hotel for hours.hotel bhagwan bharose chal raha hai.

Staffs are very unsupportive. They treat like they are doing favours. I asked for the laundry boy thrice and no one came and then asked for the iron, which they provided in half an hour. Called the reception to know about the timing of their pub, he replied it's Rs. 1500 for stag and put down the phone.

I booked a suite but got a normal room. In the normal rooms there were ciggerate burns. The hallway smelled like ciggerate. Hated my room and the room freshener wasn't strong enough. I even found a half burned cigarette. The room phone didn't work. Great rooms but very bad room service. Also food was good and food service was fast.

The lodge Hindusthan international is a beautiful region.it is a quite big inner. Room decorations are beautiful. Receiption people's are simply useful and educated one. I favored the buffet dinner and their location. Buffet turned into full of chinese language, Thai, Indian and South Indian menus.cakes have been full of golap jamun, sondesh, and different yummy meals.you can additionally find here bar, bakery save, espresso store and other massive corridor rooms for distinct activities.

Problems-

Housekeeping services needs a little more improvement.

The lifts are not that proper.

The functioning of hot water and the normal temperature water in the bathtop is troublesome.

Standard has gone down. No greetings at the entrance. Attended a seminar on the first floor. Guess what! Mosquito was annoying. Informed Housekeeping but none bothered to get a mosquito repellent spray. There was a ghost in the men's urinal too. Urine auto flush device was working on and off without anybody using it. Was scary!

I have interacted Directly With Sushmita over the call, She is a wonderful person I must say, she had given me a wonderful deal including breakfast and dinner + Upgraded my room as well. The staff was really helpful.no cross-questions, cleaning and all.food was good. Incase If you go to UG disc make sure the amount, it is a bit costly as also similar to other Disc as well. Proper security was available if your traveling with a female partner.disc place was short that I felt. Apart from that
The food was really good + the staff was cooperative.

Medicine will be provided too, if any doctor prescribed medicine then it would be chargeable.

One of the most top class hotels here. Excellent boarding and lodging facility, service, food, room and even a very good campus. This place is one of the most awaited hotels and renowned all over the country.

Comfortable stay, hotel is a mix of modern and pre-modern

The location of this hotel is very nice, just 10 mins away from Victoria Memorial by walking.

The hotel is a mix of modern and pre-modern because on one side you have all the modern facilities like elevators, swimming pool, superb buffet with a view and what not. However on the other side, the rooms felt like they were made in ancient time. Beside having two single beds, there is only one switch for lights on one side, which I found very strange. The furniture too is old-style.

The stay was very comfortable, morning breakfast is very nice and the property is a place to be once in Kolkata.

Went to the lounge bar Virgose on 31st night. Music was excellent. The staff inside were warm and friendly. Food was good though overpriced as expected. Drinks were liquid gold.

This place is really awesome. It's well equipped with some beautiful restaurant and bars and for spending holidays without your family is a beautiful place. Yesterday me and my friends have spent the evening in that hotel and it makes me wow!

Good rooms but a bit old. Sometimes room carpet smells. Gives a creep in rooms at night sometimes. Laundry service is very good. Food and ambience are great. Staffs are friendly and polite. A thumbs up.

Hotel Hindustan International is the most cheap and disrespectful place in Kolkata. Like every year I made bookings for 31st party but this time I chose HHI. It was a grave mistake. They are a shameless business organisation who do not adhere to their own terms. Although it was clearly mentioned that drinks will be served till 1.30 am they closed all bars at 1am. I protested strongly and called Police at Part Steeet Police Station at 1.28am. Interestingly bouncers at HHI and their management got me arrested to Police without any offence even though I'm the one who made complaint. I was taken to Bhawanipore Police station and pressured to pay a fine of ₹200 for a crime I didn't commit while HHI went off easy. Twist in the story is that I have video and audio recording of every incident and I will file a case against HHI tomorrow. 2019 exciting is what you're gonna be. For future reference anyone who invites me to a cheap place like HHI don't expect me coming. Rather book Astor or Park.

It's a good 4 star hotel with all the amenities and provisions. Staff are helpful and courteous. Rooms are clean and well organized.

This is a relatively old hotel in Kolkata. The rooms aren't that great and I for sure think it needs a revamp. The front office staff especially on Mr krishnendu is really uninterested in serving. I'm not sure if I will stay here ever again

Services such as providing the needs of the guest is good. Clean and hygenic place, hotel staff are friendly, and as per the location HHI is located at one on the prime point in Kolkata. And Food is also very good there.

Had lunch in their main restaurant. Not that great choice of food and really overpriced. Didn't know what was the hype all about!

Nice hotel but staff is not responsible for task assigned we conduct conference there and many time through out the day I have repeatedly ask for few things.
