Hotel Icchedana

Last weekend we visited Bakkhali. I was always fascinated by homestays & the hospitality of the people in the mountains. But such a homestay in a commercial tourist location in Bengal is beyond my expectations. The hospitality and service provided by uncle and aunty is beyond words to express. The rooms were neat & tidy. I had a 3 years old toddler, so asked for an additional bedsheet. Uncle provided 3 bedsheets with a set of new pillow covers. At night, it was raining so he was wiping the water from the stairs at 2'o clock in the night. Such is his sense of responsibility towards the guests. The food cooked by aunty catered to our taste buds just like mom made food. It was not spicy but tasted excellent and provided contentment. Bhutu was excellent with the guests. The rate of the rooms & food was beyond expectations too. Damn cheap but no compromise on quality. Such hospitality comes rare! We felt as if we were leaving some beloved relatives & they too escorted us back to our car till we were out of sight. The care they provided makes a point that they are not doing it for business but purely out of passion Next time we will surely visit you for a week & till then may the almighty bless you abundantly and keep you healthy and hearty. Haven't ever seen such humble hotel managers. Would recommend 100% if you are going with your family or friends. Price is damn cheap. Rooms are also clean.location is just 2 mins from the beach. Feels like home not a hotel to be honest

Excellent homestay.
You can truly feel at home here. 2 mins walk from bus stand and 2 mins walk to beach. Clean and decent rooms in 600/day.
Very affordable.
Kaaku and kaaki provided daily homemade meals at very nominal rates.
Must visit if you visit bakkhali.

Nice homely atmosphere, good location, home made food, excellent behaviour of the owner - made our stay really enjoyable.

Great hospitality. Good rooms, neat and clean. Beach is near. About 3 minutes walk. But the best is the food. Lajawaab. Nice people. If one stays there he will be tempted to go again. Aged people will like more. Thanks icchedana

If you want the family environment. Then it's the best choice in bakkhali. Uncle Aunty was too humble and helpful.

3 minutes distance from the beach.

Rooms were good. Not like luxury. But it was cleaned and well decorated. And you can't expect more in this budget.

If you don't like resturant food. And you are looking for that kind of food where you feel your mom's touch in the food. Then this is the best for you.

Only the tap water and shower speed was very low. PLEASE UNCLE TRY TO FIX THIS PROBLEM IF YOU CAN.

To be Honest, Rooms are perfect for Solo Travellers specially. I stayed there for 2 days. Rate of Room was Rs 600/ night in November 2022.

Both Bus stand & Sea Beach are walking distance from this Homestay.

& Most importantly, We can get Home-Made Food here at reasonable price. I had Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner there during the whole trip.

& The owner of the Homestay is really a Good person with Good experience, I really loved his courtesy.

Overall I felt like a home in this Homestay.

Well behaviour, and very much supportiv e which is very much necessary while traveling. Uncle is very much real i.e he knows practical thing.

The Rooms are very clean and it is so near by see beach, Homely atmosphere and foods are fresh
