One of the best hotel near New Market area with buffet breakfast. Staffs are friendly. Budget friendly hotel specifically for business stays. Also room service is very good.

This Place is good to stay for short or longer period. The great facility & service will be provided. Awesome rooms with great ambience make you fill very happy.

The stay was pathetic.
1. It was a small, noisy place, where you will keep on getting the sound of staff and guest from the lobby into your room all day
2. The service is so slow, they won't respond unless you have called them 4-5 times
3. The hotel was not at all clean. You can see used dirty clothes, utensils, bottles, lying around the lobby, sometimes in your room too which the staff keeps by mistake (obviously those are not yours but used items of someone else)

Recently visited there. It was a pleasant experience overall. The buffet breakfast was very good. A gym and a swimming pool would get it a 5 star rating from me.

Cozy stay amidst the busy hub of Kolkata, this hotel may be a good choice for a getaway. The service, staff and the food are quite good. Though, I'd say, it is high time they should think about a renovation for the interior, furniture and barhroom fittings. Near to the New Market, Park Street Metro Station and other useful and interesting sites, Hotel Kempton may prove to be a happening stay for you in Kolkata.

Worst hotel with worst food service. It takes minimum two hrs for any meal to prepare. Rooms are very small. Welcome drink was worst. I am sitting in Kempton only and writing these all bcs I didn't expect this.

I am staying in kempton presently, The worst pathetic service one could ever give. After ordering food (dinner) i got the half order in about 1 hour 30mins.and the roti/ breads were not served even after waiting 45 mins and then when i shouted then the whole staff was giving fullish reasons wherein making a tawa chapati cannot take more than 2 mins.please request everyone with folded hands not to waste your time and money staying here.

The service and location are the moot points which are worth the money. When it comes to rooms, spending huge amounts of money is not recommended from my side. The rooms need a lot of upgrades, maintenance, etc etc;they simply arent up to the mark in correspondence to the huge amounts of money spent on them. One of the rooms even had the flush broken. Not expected at all from a so called 3-4 star hotel.

Food service taste awesome. They dnt cheat anyone. They take time to cook and serve. Even soap is pure. Good quality.

This hotel is located in heart of the city. Breakfast is excellent.
Cleanliness needs lot of improvement. Laundry staff is very reluctant in providing the clean towel and linen. Bed sheets and pillow covers were really dirty.

Hotel is good in ambiance but service is of low grade served aqua diamond water bottles branded is chargeable

Rooms are not as luxurious as they look. Their service is good and the staffs are very helpful. Food quality also good. Lots of Bangladeshi people can be found here.

It is a nightmare hotel. Even a non listed hotel would be better than this. Leaking AC, Stinking toilets. All are paid ratings. It’s a garage not a hotel

Everything was superb except the room service I think they must work more in it. Other ways about cleaning, food and all it's good.

We paid for 2 adult & 1 kid (age 11) in Priceline. Priceline charged 6 USD extra for the kid. Priceline booked the hotel via a third party agoda.com. Upon check in, the hotel charged additional money for an 11 year old (conspired her as an adult). We showed them screenshot that we paid for the child via Priceline.
But the hotel argued till we paid additional money for an 11 old kid AGAIN!
Neither Priceline and Agoda backed up their obligations.
Be careful taking your kid to this hotel if you book at Priceline or agora.com. You may have to pay twice for your kid.

Hotel Kempton has been our primary choice whenever we visit Kolkata. The location is near Kolkata New Market, just 10-12 minutes walk. Their rooms and bathrooms are clean and well maintained. Often very quiet to have a good night's sleep. Recently they have renovated most of their rooms. Their buffet breakfast is truly amazing, it is a must try.

The rooms were tidy, hotel staff are very well mannered. But it is expensive for a 4 star hotel.

Good hotel with affordable prices. Excellent location for exploring Kolkata's spots. Staff very friendly and helpful. Rooms are quite nice. Taxis are easily available and metro is not too far. Plenty of cheap-ish restaurants around the hotel.
The buffet breakfast hall can get very crowded. The staff sometimes seemed overwhelmed. So get in there early!
