Hotel Mangalam

I booked a room, they sent me a message asking me to contact me on WhatsApp and pay for my stay. I tried to pay 3 times, the payment was rejected, the reason is my international card. Due to “non-payment” they “closed” the reservation. Why on earth? Why didn't my booking through Booking cancel? It is clear that hotel owners want payment through their payment system, and not through booking, this is beneficial for them. But why should guests suffer because of their negligence and greed? The story didn't end there. We were offered the same room, but 250 rupees more expensive. Then they refused to allow us to stay at all because of our car. We travel by car and need to park it. People at the reception said that you can’t park a car next to or on the entire street, although this is a lie. This situation arose due to the fact that the hotel uses a bot in communication, which is not able to answer the question about parking. To sum it up - this is terrible service.

The worst experience ever, practically nothing is avaivke at the hotel when you need it, and the front desk staff Is over smart. They don’t have simple stiff like soda and when you want to get it from outside they have issues. Food is horrible and overpriced. When you ask for cold water. Their response is you shouldn’t drink cold water early in the morning. Overall I would never recommend this hotel to anyone specially because of the reception staff in the evening on the 25th and 26 th morning. DO NOT come here at any cost. And they are also entertaining young boys and girls using their rooms by the hour. This is worse than I ever thought.

I really like the service. Very peaceful and very well furnished hHotel Manglamotel. The staff was to energetic and served with a smiling face. God bless them to serve and comfort their guest such for years ahead.

Hotel management is pathetic. Fares are high. They made allegations of damaging the hotel property baselessly and made us pay extra amount. Staff behaviour is the one which makes your stay more worse.

I have been going to this hotel for vacation, medical tours and solo for 7 years now. The consistency in their service is deteriorating, especially after the pandemic. Their foods are not worth the price based on taste.
Their rooms are comfy, however, they could use some cleaning. The experience is always good, but when you come here for 7 years, you would expect some extra friendliness to say the least.

A good budget hotel. Food is good, service also good, cleanliness is moderate, staff behaviour is very good. Free breakfast and wi fi. They provide tea, coffee, milk and sugar Sachet for making tea or coffee at room and 1 bottle of mineral water. Also provide hand wash, shampoo, comb, dental kit, savings creem etc at wash room. Laundry service are available. 24 hours room service available.

Best service at low budget. Very Friendly stuff and behaviour. Great Room service. They cleans the room and provide room amenities everyday. They also provides free breakfast if you book through agoda.

Worst hotel, disgusting staff, specially the manager is the worst person ever. I am sure he is busy in ruining the reputation of the hotel. Do not recommend anybody to go there.

Went for IELTS exam.no place for waiting, so be prepared and visit there with your umbrella

Decent place. Nothing out of the world. Standard hotel. With standard services. Small rooms. Has a kitchen. Only good thing is the location.

Went for My IELTS test. Staff members were quite helpful, British Council Authorities were cooperative as well. Overall a good experience.

Seems ok, didnt stay there, went for an interview. Roadside parking is available, hotel is small, so is parking. Accessible location. Area is good.

Staffs at the reception and at the door are horrible. I was a guest but the way they were treating the IELTS candidates was worse than animals. Take strict action against the guy who wears specs at the reception he was really horrible towards a particular female candidate, is this the way you guys treat a human being and the man at the door wanted money from me. I mean wow. The owner or manager should teach them proper manners.

The hotel was more for British Council test center for IELTS. Placed at right hand side of the main road. Was not able to get a chance to review their food or rooms.

This is a conveniently placed Hotel, just on the main road. They have parking space for few small cars as well. Rooms are small but cosy and comfortable, enough for official stay of one person. So anyone traveling to Kolkata on official tour, can opt for this Hotel.

Very convinient location. I was at the hotel to appear for an examination so not very sure about the hotel or room service. The rooms were decent, receptionist was helpful and informative. The 2nd floor was under renovation during September 2019. You get dhaba and other restaurants nearby. The is a juice Takeaway joint at the ground floor outside the hotel.

Convenient location, easy to spot from the road. Can't comment on service, went for exam interview. Probably leased out for commercial and corporate dealings.

Ielts guide: Follow the signs to the 1st floor, submit your possessions to the security, then wait in the room on the right.

It is good place. I went their for an exam. I was their for 20 minuite only. So I can't say about the food quality or anything else. One thing I can say the place is very convenient. Easy to locate and easy to drive.
