Hotel Royal Bengal

The room was small but had all basic facilities available.
Pros: fast free internet, 24/7 hot water, restaurant food was good and received within 10 minutes. Do try their chicken korma. Beautifully maintained swimming pool.

Cons: The economy room was right next to a LPG gas godown. It was very loud in the early morning. Dish tv wasn't working due to low balance.

The location was within 2km to Bolpur Railway station. Since we had small luggage with us, and had plenty of time, we walked to the railway station. It will probably take 20-25 minutes.

The hospitality extended by Hotel Royal Bengal Shantiniketan has compelled me to write this note. I shall feel guilty if I deprive them of the appreciation they deserve. I must thank the whole team who attended us, and must mention the name of Ms. Barsha in particular who took all the cares from reservation till our check out.
All together The service they have rendered to us was meticulous.
The food quality was superb and was really very tasty, makes you feel more hungry.
I must say the whole team consists of professionals, well mannered very well behaved and make you feel very special.
Overall the property is very good and well located. We liked the rooms and everything. No complaints.
Our stay here will stay alive in our memories for long.

The Hotel Royal Bengal has a swimming pool and a small park for children. Easily locatable, delectable food and wonderful service is something we all look for .

They have an exceptional restaurant with authentic Bengali dishes.don't try Chinese and others, order for Indian & pure Bengali dishes. You will feel amazing. Location was also very decent, a small lawn with a tiny swimming pool as a kids amusement park. Overall it is recommended.

Good hotel at Bolpur. Location is also good. Infront of the hotel there is a playground. There is a beautiful garden in the premises. Mini gathering can be arranged here. Room arrangements are also good. Definitely cost is reasonable. But, there are some significant drawback. No car parking is there in the premises. This is a major drawback. You have to park on road side nearby with taking risk. The lift is very small with maximum 3 person carrying capacity. Power backup is also not good. The hotel staffs are not professional. So, taking all these, it's a average to good hotel.

It is a budget hotel. I had booked a triple sharing room which was low in space, when requested to provide a bigger room they denied with an explanation that all rooms are sold. Food is more or less good. The upkeep of the hotel is so so. Not very far from Bolpur station and the Vishwabharati caampus. Overall if you look for a economic option with no luxury amenities then it could be a comfortable option.

Great experience. The staff are friendly and helpful. Location is great. The restaurant serves great food. Specifically good for families. They put up a nice show on the lawn every weekend for guests.

Hotel royal Bengal is suppose to be the best hotel in Shantiniketan. The rooms are good no doubt but their foods are amusing. Although they don't have a huge variety but the quality is amusing. I had one plate chicken biryani for two people which costs 200/- and totally sufficient for two people. Love this place. Love to visit again.

Rooms are good but the prices are too high compared to the size of the room. The hotel has a nicely decorated kid's playground and the quality of food available in the restaurant is very good.

If you don't mind the small rooms, it's a comfortable stay. The pretty garden offers great photo ops and meals at the restaurant are generally delicious.

Hotel Royal Bengal is probably the best hotel you can find at Shantiniketan, at a budget price. For the first impression, the outside scenic beauty is very beautiful. With an ample open space, Hotel Royal Bengal has a lush green garden with ample space for kids and adults to indulge in games or have a stroll. Coming to the employees, the staff was quite hospitable and friendly. Coming to the flaws - if you are in bad luck, you might not find water through your taps in the morning. It happened with me twice and somehow they don't switch on the tanks everyday early morning and wait till the water tanks run out completely. And this experience is something I have faced for the first time in my entire lifetime - a hotel which runs out of water even when there are boarders, just because of negligence. However, the overall stay is quite pleasant. You'll have a good time.

This is a good property with all basic facilities. Rooms are of standard size, few having small balconies. Service is promot & polite. Restaurant downstairs is pleasant to eyes. Food is really good. I recommend stay here for a short stay.

Good hotel in a convenient location, especially for tourists going to Santiniketan.

We booked 2 double bed a/c Deluxe Rooms which were adjacent to each other and had balconies.

Rooms are adequately sized with enough closet space as required for a short stay

There's a restaurant within the hotel that serves different cuisines. The food is pretty decent and not very expensive. They have a lunch buffet as well, which was a bit expensive

Overall, this place is definitely recommended

This hotel is located in Bhubandaga Bolpur. Best hotel in this location but according to standard hotels it is far behind. Management are needed to think about for improve in facilities.

Wrost room service. AC & gieser in the rooms not working. Staff Suraj Kumar is always in drunken state & misbehave with hosts. On complaining about his misbehavior, Suraj Kumar said he is relative of hotel owners. Complain done at hotel's mail. Other staffs are ok. Rooms are clean. Beautiful gardens and decorations.
Expecting hotels owners will take necessary action immediately against great staff Suraj.
