Price are little High while according the room, room service was better but not the quality of food and the fellow in reception was totally dumb abt what and how to behave with people.

Room service are very poor and the behaviour of manager not good. 24 hours checked out if extra time you have west checkout the room then extra panalty is charged. This hotel is very poor in their services.

Very close to Babughat but price is extremely high. I had to pay 1800 (post negotiation from 2200). But place is not of more than 800 worth.

Worst hotel, very poor room, very bad behaviour of hotel staff, they have charged very high price for very bad room, bad smell comming throughout, they have given dirty kambals and bedsheed even after changing it was again dirty. Please don't go there, they will spoil your trip.

Their room service are very poor also the behaviour of staffs with the guest are not good. The just want money and nothing else. This hotel is very poor in their services.

Ac rooms are overcharged as the rooms are really dirty, lights don't work properly, intercom is dead and we have to call reception from personal number, commode flush is broken and the showers are useless too.
However the behaviour of staff is really good.

I don't recommend Hotel Sonali. Very negative vibes from this place.

Quite old construction.
This hotel fits neither in AWESOMENESS, LUXURY, GREAT VIEW, ROMANTIC, QUIET nor HIGH TECH brackets but is eco friendly and can be termed as a point where all commercial places are nearby so it is good place for people coming here for business.
Being near the commercial area, it is a very noisy place day and night. You cannot sleep very well even in the nights.
Rooms are small. Just enough, nothing more.
Service is not good. Maybe you will need an extra chapatti when you see the food size, you order, it will reach you after you have finished your meal 2 - 4 minutes earlier
and
the hotel may seem clean but the rooms are 60% - 80% clean. Not clean enough.

Overall, regarding the purpose i went to Kolkata, this hotel was good for me.

Even though food was good but I will say it's too costly #for me & the room service is quite poor, called for 3 to 4 times but no response from them & u will see people drunk went mad? & they are so rude (the hotel service men)

Room service isn't good, They put dustbin in front of dressing table
. No towel and soap. AC has no remote. Overall my experience isn't good enough.

Rooms are good. Bathroom was clean. AC working fine. Staff is very cooperative.
Owners serve customers well.
Good food at Genuine rate.
Do try the in-house food.

It's a nice hotel. Room was little compact but I must say room service and food was overall good. Owner's behaviour was way polite. If you're looking for a nice, family hotel in Kolkata in limited budget then go for this hotel. Stay blessed
