Hotel Swagath

A nice hotel with vegetarian restaurant. Rooms are spacious and service is excellent. Cleanliness can always be improved.

Whenever I have veg food, I order Thali from here. Generally I order North Indian Thali and it’s I would rate it as good.
Somehow, I feel price range is a bit high for Thali compared to other vegetarian restaurants.
Overall experience is good and satisfactory.

Restaurant is very nice, friendly staff, everything is clean, food was tasty, prices are reasonable.

Restaurant update: usually service good, food good but this time service pathetic (black complexion waiter[ a suggestion: all service personals should have their names pin-up for reference]), food- too much oily puri, rasm thick too much sour, tandoori roti thin not properly cooked

South Indian food was amazing.
They also serve Jain north indian food.

Rooms are okayish. Service and food is good. Please beware of parking outside the hotel on the footpath if instructed by hotel management as they will not take responsibility if vehicle is towed away or a penalty is imposed by traffic police.

Cockroaches in the room. Hot water available only for initial 3 mins. Rough blankets replaced by mediocre duvets only on request. Door Knobs broken. Stale stink in the air. Terrible experience!

Good price. When your driver stay outside on car and going to toilet or bathroom they deny. They say buy a room for those facilities.

Its a third grade hotel. There is no manners how to talk with coustomer even they are not tell clear about the charges and taxes at the time of check-in but when you checkout you are surprise to see the bills.

Well located, cozy hotel & restaurant bang on busy South Kolkata thoroughfare (Hazra Road) with well -appointed rooms and decent, genial staff. Parking is also inside the premises, albeit small. Restaurant is clean and tidy, good South Indian food is available round the clock.

I love this hotel. All staff members are very good

I went to thier restaurant to have lunch with my father and ordered veg hakka noodles. When the dish was served I was the only one eating it as my father had ordered dosa. So I left the plate on the side and started eating directly from the bowl (using forks not chopsticks). I was shocked when the manager comes to me and tells me please don't eat directly from the bowl as what will the other customers think! I told him I will eat as I please as it doesn't concern me what other customers think. (btw the whole restaurant was empty with only one more couple sitting two tables away from us). I later confronted him andnhe saidnthat other customer may think we don't serve plates. I askednhim if someone wants to eat rice with thier hands you will refuse him as other customers might think you don't serve spoons! Worst customer service. If you plan to eat there please check the rule book for the restaurant with the manager as you might have to sit and eat in the way the restaurant tells you and not how you wish to eat. I'm shocked s thisbdoesnt even happen in 4-5 start restaurants. Pathetic.

Good food nice ambiance, lobby music is so nice, Mr Chirodip is nice person & manager Satyajit is so helpful, excellent room service

I visited their restaurant on 10 September 22 with my wife for dinner and had a very unusual experience. I ordered Mixed Vegetables and Lachha Paratha for self and Masala Dosa for my wife. The preparation was good. My travails started once I ordered a second Lachha Paratha. It never arrived. I went on reminding the waiter but the chef refused to listen his entrities. I heard heated discussion emanating from the kitchen but no Lachha Paratha. Finally I had to leave with onlyy belly half full.
My wife uttered the words of wisdom "In a south indian eatery only stick to south indian fare"
A lesson learnt the hard way!

The best south India restaurant in that area. I used to go there as a child and the food was great at that time and it's still the best.

Location is superb.
Very close to metro station and bullygunge phanri.
Auto easily available.
Location is safe and in residential area.

Staffs are well mannered.
Foods are little costly and only VEG.
Rooms are spacious but bit old fashioned
Rooms need proper maintenance and upgradation.

Previously when i visited the staff was so sporting and cooperative but today when i visited i saw staffs have been changed and their behavior's have been changed. I didn't like it at all.

Very nice, hygienic and delicious food. Must try for everyone. Reasonable prices also. Good service

होटल स्वागत बहुत ही बेहतरीन है उससे भी ज्यादा यहाँ के कर्मचारी की सर्विस और व्यवहार था । यहाँ का खाना शुद्ध शाकाहारी और स्वादिष्ट था ।
पर यह जगह कलकत्ता बाजार से दुर होने के कारण थोड़ी कठिनाई होती है ।

One of the best hotels in Hazra rd Kolkata, my family liked the place a lot, the food was of superb vegetarian quality. Very neat and clean, and helpful staff. There was a confusion regarding the billing which was promptly resolved by the management.
Overall, we would recommend a stay here.

Poor Service. Poor coordination between reception and restaurant staff. After long wait they refused to provide food. Please request to all don't go there.

Worst restaurant in South Kolkata. Very poor service and bad behavior of hotel staff. They are too much confused about there service. After a long waiting they told us "Kitchen is Closed"

Hotel Swagath is located near Ritchie Road crossing and it serves amazing South Indian food. The price of the food is reasonable and the food is super tasty. The seating arrangement is comfortable and the service is good. I had visit the restaurant few days back with my friends and I will be telling you about the food we had there. So with any further delay lets come to the food we had.

Vada: The vada was unique and a bit different from the plain vada we usually have this vada had chopped veggies in it. This vada tasted amazing.

Idli
: This idli preparation was as unique as it had sauteed veggies with it & it tasted amazing. They were served with sambar and coconut chatni.

Cheese Rava Dosa: The cheese rava dosa was tasty and the masla for the dosa was served separately.

They have recently launched their new menu and it has some amazing chines combos and the one tried was as follows

: This chili garlic noodles was really yummy and a bit spicy but the spiciness was well balanced.

Veg Manchurian: The veg manchurian needs a bit improvement.

Both the desserts were well presented and tasted yummy. The chocolate sundae had small pieces of brownie in it and it tasted really good with the ice cream.

I had been here in the last week to meet my aunt who came from pune and is staying here.
This hotel really has surprised me in a great way.
The hotel rooms are just wow.all luxurious facilities are available at a very affordable price.
I tried there meny also.which is completely veg but will definitely mesmerize you.if your are thinking of any veg restaurant near Hazra, you should definitely try it.the staffs are so friendly.
They have a banquet hall too for occasions and party purposes.
I totally recommend this place.

Hotel swagath

Hotel Swagath is just located in 10 minutes walking distance from jatin das park metro station. Its actually a hotel along with a restaurant itself in groud floor. The. Very simply decorated, It's a pure veg Restaurant which serves delicious variety foods. They have also a large lounge area for meetings and occasions. They also have nice comfortable rooms in the hotel with a great view in this prime location.
We were there for lunch.

Crispy Chilli Babycorn: It is my most favorites dish among starter. They made the dish well spiced and tge baby corns were soft. A perfect start of our lunch.

Paneer sashilik- There was a tandoori style Stick is containing two cubes of paneer with capsicum, onion slices which are tossed into a tangy sweet and chilly sauce. The paneer was lipsmacking here.

Tandoori aloo - This was a innovative dish out of the box. A veg masala stuffed in a aloo with friedly coated in breadcrumbs.

Masala Kulcha- Soft and fully stuffed with masala which goes perfectly with the side dishes.

Dal Makhani- A Punjabi mixed dal curry, with lots of butter and cream makes it more delicious.

Dum ka paneer - I personally liked it so much because of its Cream texture and the taste of the paneer. The paneer has a mild Aroma that tends to crave for more.

Veg Jhalphrezi- An Indian stir fried veg dish sauteed with regular spices and garam masala. It was okayish.

At the end we tried trutty fruity and chocolate icecream which was a perfect end of this yummylicious lunch.

The staffs were attentive and helpful to serve the best. The restaurant now going to start late nigh delivery that you can enjoy the food at midnight!
I'll suggest YOU to give a visit in the place.

I stayed in hotel swagath with a friend for 3 days.i was told that hotel swagath is a good hotel and in the heart of the city, which was not too expensive.my stay was comfortable.the food that they served in the hotel was ok.it is not outstanding.but at least it was not bad.the breakfast was complimentary.the food is south indian.but far from being authentic south indian.the best thing is that it is located on hazra road.and all uber/ola drivers know it well.when we visit kolkata, basically we want a placeto unwind and relax at night bcoz during the day time, we wud want to explore the city.the hotel is comfortable for a good stay.so overall 3 stars for swagath

Wonderfulll Hotel for all types of function like party, Aniversary, Birthday, Angegement, Etc

Hotel tariff is higher but hotel's facilities is not up to the mark basis facility is not available in the room like electric catal iron boad & iron, rooms are dirty and hotel staff is not cooperative. Right now I have not taken any picture.
I will never recommend this hotel to any one.

Moderate, well located, nice hotel with banquet hall. Basically I was there to attend a marriage ceremony, banquet hall is not so big. Especially dining hall is not adequate to room hundred people at once but well maintained. Staff are cordial. I think parking space is a matter of concern for an occasion.

Worst Hotel in Kolkata. Pathetic room service, hotel staff dis obliging. Intercom not working was not able to call for room service, always had to call reception using personal mobile phone. Very unclean bed sheets with stains all over. Complete regretting for booking this horrible place. Inspire of complain no staff was cooperative. Reception people are worst they donot pay heed to to your complains. Never book this hotel.

Hotel Swagath is amazing. If you want to stay i would recommend this hotel for sure to everyone. You have beautiful AC rooms and Washrooms.

Nice rooms and service was good. But the restaurant is the best vegetarian serving south Indian cuisine in kolkata.
