Worst behaviour of staff, equally dirty crockey and cutley in which the ice cream was served. WOULD NEVER RETURN to this outlet.

You can see so many rare items here such as collection of stamps, old notes and pennys and a broken helicoptor.and so so many things.

In my childhood I used to visit here to play games. And used to have different ice-creams at Sub Zero too.

It is easy to locate. From the park st metro station, (keeping the Asiatic society on left) walk straight for 4-5 mins and turn right to the first right side road. You can locate the shop on your right side right way.

The place is cosy with awesome icecreams with customised touch. Visited there several time always had a great taste. Ambience is cool & staffs are polite.

It was once a heaven for aeromodelling enthusiasts, various rc hobbyist, modellers, but today its very unfortunate to say that it has lost its glory no more planes just a few used models that too with a price more than the first hand models.

Hobby Center has been always a very nostalgic place. Rollick ice cream tastes the same. Services! Poor. Expected better.

It's not a review. It's a piece of nostalgia of my childhood memories. I am 36 now. My heart bleeds for what this place was and what it has become. Not because of its own reasons but rather because of change in taste of customers at this era. 30 years or so it used to be a great place with 3 sections. A self service restaurant, a big ice cream parlour and a big toy shop. Each one of them top notch. The ice cream parlour used to have more than 60 varities. The toy store had some most unique toys from all over world. All that is there now is a ice cream shop that sells shakes too with 8 flavours max and some sundaes too. The current shop is very good too. Very courteous. It does have a toy section but it is not as great as it used to be. But I feel we as consumers have failed to maintain a great place because we got star stuck with mac Ds, n KFCs n Pizza joints of our times. We failed the place by our decadant low taste of food n culture. Our change in taste has led this place to downsize n change its own legacy. Point to ponder why we are not even close to London or any such places that have maintained their heritage and we in kolkata are just doing what we know the best - adda Baji or lip service with nothing to show for.

It's been my go-to-place for Ice Cream for the last few years. Recently, I had a slice of Orange-Choco cake (Cake with Ice-Cream punched in between) accompanied with a slice of Belgian Cake. Both tasted heavenly, especially the Belgian one. I followed it up with a Strawberry Flavoured ice-cream. It was garnished with slices of fresh strawberry and the taste of a combination of tangy and sweet. I've always found the place to be comfortable and cosy, a perfect place to visit with your family and friends.

Most of the stuff sold at India's Hobby Centre, as far as collectibles go, are unbelievably overpriced and to add to that, they sell bootlegs/Knockoffs of the original collectibles. If you aren't careful, you could get scammed!

Decent collection of collectibles and the owner is a friendly chap. However, they prices of items are very high.owner justified by saying he can earn more online. However he was asking Rs. 2500 for something that costs Rs. 1100 online.

A gem of an old school shop churning out good memories of Kolkata. One part serves ice cream and a few snacks and the other half is a fantastic old world toy shop specializing in gliders to literally a pro level. Loved visiting the toy shop. Recommended to travelers to step into 70s Kolkata.

If you are a serious ice cream lover and want something apart from the mainstream ice creams. This is the best place. A cozy ice cream parlour having a good lot variety of desserts.

Its the only place where I got my rc plane equipments. Its really very helpful and its owner is the most gentle man i have ever met. He helps a lot and you may find everything related to rc planes and drones with experts who can help you to build that too. You can also find the build one, and i like its ice cream center too. Though its not related but it has that place too for relax.
