Busier restaurant of Esplanade.price amezing according food quality. 149 chicken biryani. Try here your budget lunch. 80-90/- Non-hygenic shop but it's ok.for quick response
Been here for a quick bite at evening time with my friends few days back. Find this place over crowded as expected. It took some time to find a seat. Ordered Chole Bhature for us. Food was really delicious and price is quite reasonable.
Its was a grt place for breakfast and eveing snacks with variety of items. Dont know why the owners have sold such a running buisness to a other franchise. Name change.items menu also changed. Only memories of mix chat.kachoori chat.faluda.lassi.kalakand remains
I was shocked while looking at their main course menu, unexpectedly cheaper than my local restaurant and undoubtdly tastier, no compromise with taste, portion and quality made. We were hungry and the right food and taste matters, and they accomplished their service very well in closing hours. Thanks Saima Restaurant, I will visit again.
This is one of the oldest shops of Kolkata now running under Saima franchise. The quality, quantity of the food is worth they are charging. It's quite reasonable price in this area. Behaviour is awesome. Taste is ok. Huge crowd love this place for snacks, lunch, dinner. As well like other shops and stalls of this area they provide faluda kulfi in cheap price.
This is a very affordable restaurant non AC that doesn't mean they use cheap oil for food making any age group people can eat those foods. Wow thing is they serve extra chutney and dal or choley if needed. When you go for shopping in esplanet must try Indramahal food
I used to visit this place whenever I went to the dharamtala area. The dosas and chole bature was a must try and ao delicious. Other food items were also savory the lassi, kulfi and other sweets. The taste was really of heavenly taste as the name suggested. But quite recently I went there with my brother, I took cab from tollygunje just to eat at indramahal. I felt that something has changed but didn't realize immediately, we sat there and looked at the menu and saw each and every dishes were non veg and the photos in wall had some arabic inscription. We immediately got up and left the place. I really feel sad when I go near esplanade. I will miss you Indramahal
Once a prominent restaurant for pure vegetarian food lovers enjoying North & South Indian Delicacies with sweets & savories is now completely Non-Veg Food Joint & it was really very disappointing for us as we came to have our lunch specialy planned all the way from Garihat only to find out that we can't anymore.
Have been visiting this place since childhood. They do offer variety of vegetarian food at reasonable rate. Overall clean restaurant and the crowd is also decent. Signature dish - chana batura and kulfi!
This place is right next to gate no 5 of Esplanade Metro. Ordered aaloo bonda and lassi. Lassi was ok, but the aloo bonda was served cold, it was not fresh and the cleanliness of the place was questionable.
The best South Indian restaurant. Have been visiting this place since childhood and I still love Chole Bhature and Kulfi. Situated at Prime Location yet affordable everything in the menu is worth it, nothing has changed in years. Ambience Service Price Quality Quantity Taste
The food is very good for the price except the rolls and chop. The staff is just ok. A great place for a quick bite. Ratings from my experience Food: 4/5 Ambience: 3/5 Value for money: 4/5
I must not say that this restaurant is great place for foodies. Because their waiters are very much ill mannered and lazy. Most of the time some of them get confused to serve ordered food to the proper table. But food quality is very good. This restaurant is located just beside of Esplaned metro station gate.
Indramahal is a small sweet and snacks shops which serve these items at a very nominal rate. The service was quite good. I ordered kulfi faluda and it was that much that one can satisfy his/her hunger. There is sitting service available for the one who wants to sit, relax and munch. A good and recommended place for small meals.
More than 20years this small resturant has been standing till now, with delicious food available at cheap rate. And whenever my parents visit kolkata they eat this kulfi to refresh their young memories in kolkata.
Though the food is good but the charges are level above their quality. You will find the atmosphere restaurant quality and decorum of the waiters unworthy of the amount you pay and they will always ask for tips
If you are really desperate in Esplanade and don't have much time or money so visit this place. Sweets and food are so unlike the Kolkata spirit. Few steps more on either side you can hop in KC das or New Market area. Choice is yours.
Appearance: Large one-storeyed restaurant, Air-conditioning absent
Purpose: They serve a variety of Indian and South-Indian dishes at a reasonable price
Suitable for: Families, large groups, kids, tourists
Impression: It is a good restaurant for casual eating in the area and enjoys advantage for its prime location. Being a old restaurant, signs of ageing are evident, provides table services, although the foods are tasty, some dishes are a bit overpriced compared to the quality and amount they provide
Small restaurant but the food taste is good. Prices are reasonable. You also get South Indian breakfast items here. Ambiance and cleanliness is not that great but this is the only restaurant in the locality serving reasonable food items. Sweets and lassi are also good.
A very old joint, almost like a heritage site. Unfortunately tho nostalgia is the only blissful serving you shall get. It has gone downhill over the years. The chole batura is barely batura but rather a puri with ton of oil. Dosa and other south Indian options are bit better tho. You can try it but not worth a special go. If your in area you can visit!
