Probably the best place to stay at Murshidabad, also one of the more expensive options. Location is a bit odd, we reached late at night and took a wrong turn to reach a desolate place. The property is nice and well maintained, in the front is the building with rooms, on the back there are cottages. Rooms in the cottages are nicely and innovatively designed. Food is a bit expensive but of good quality. Overall experience is good.

Hotel rate doesn't deserve with the quality of servive & product provided, with similer rate or lesser than that will get a luxury kind of service quality and as well product, the behavior attitude etc very much require to install.commitment must be fulfilled, quality of product and service must reach.while rain a pathetic condition in room coridor inside room full of water, entire property durt, inside room many insect found, lizard cockrach ants mouse etc.even though dragon lizard fond in the premises.quality of many products are very cheap brand which is really wont acceptable.better to stay somewhere else with a similar acceptance.
RECEPTION IS BETTER TO CALLED AS ADMIN OR ACCOUNT OR A CHATTING SPACE.
WAY OF HOTEL ADMIN IS VERY POOR.
I AM NOT THE ONE WHO GOT THIS EXPERIENCE, THERE IS MANY MORE.

Best property to stay in Murshidabad. Very near to all the historic monuments, yet quiet and serene place to enjoy your vacation away from the hustle. They offer a private river cruze from their private jetty which is amazing!

We had a get together of 18 people in this resort. The location is on the bank of the river Bhagirathi (The Ganges), which can be seen from all the rooms. The staffs are well behaved, always ready to take care of the guests. The food quality was exceptionally good and the Chef Mr. Halder needs a special mention. Additional was an evening steamer cruise on the River. Overall, it was a very nice memory for all of us.

There needs to be more accomodation for people with disabilities. Ramp and elevator are absent. Otherwise the service was great and location is lovely.

The atmosphere was more than just beautiful. The best part of this property is its location on the banks of Bhagirathi River. You can also sit on the lawn and enjoy the evening. You can enjoy your sunset while having tea or coffee or anything you like.moThe approach road to the resort is very bad. The rooms are very well maintained. But common room are very small in size with basic facilities. The service is good, even though the property claims to be of 4 star category. Staff behavior is good, but I think they should train their staff more professionally. Food items are really good. But the biggest thing is the price they charge for the food. Most of the guests rave about it. Management should consider food prices more professionally.

Imagine enjoying a morning cup of tea on the manicured lawns with a hundred flowers blooming as the River Bhagirathi, serene, quiet, gently flows on its way to becoming the Hooghly in Kolkata. That is the Jalchabi Resort and Hotel in Murshidabad, West Bengal. A very pleasant property, with beautifully designed huts (each named after a mango variety), and rooms (named after various names of the Ganges), the USP of the property is its blooming flowers, manicured lawns, personal service of the staff, and the exciting boat ride on the Bhagirathi, not to mention the rolling river bank also blooming with variety of flowers. The idyllic surroundings makes one stay there for a staycation rather than only a vacation.

A big thank you to Mr. Deepak at the restaurant for providing such a personalised service and the logistics support provided by the front desk staff. With ample parking facility, and well-lit walkways at night, the property is well secured. And yes, the patrol guard Hotel doggie ensures that further.

Murshidabad and its surroundings are seeped in history. What best way to enjoy it than to reside at the Jalchabi and make the experience complete.

I went there for an audition. I found the place is so beautiful near the river. The shades of trees there bring out the feeling of relief and the surroundings are too good to spend time there.

Beautiful location, warm hospitality of the staff, wonderful room service, nice, clean rooms with view of the Ganges, tasty food (a little expensive though) and last but not the least, the cruise cafe was a fantastic experience.

The best part of this property is it's location which is just by the side of the river. Approach road to the resort is not maintained well. Standard rooms are too small in size with basic amenities. Service is good, though as the property claims itself to be of 4 star category, it is expected that they will have their staff professionally trained. But the biggest let down is the prices they charge for food. The guests being mostly bengalis from Kolkata, if one is expected to have a single piece Katla fish curry for INR 350 plus taxes at anywhere in Bengal, that itself will be a deterrant for revisit. Management should have relook at the food prices more professionally, rather than using these as a tool to fleece boarders.

Most peaceful place in Murshidabad. I can't explain what is this feeling just you enter the environment of Jalchhabi.

Loved the whole experience but only issue was they didn't have a water purifier. It was weird cz the restaurant had the water purifier. Still the rooms and the boarders were supposed to drink packaged drinking water. But after pointing out, they provided water afterwards

Steamer ride on bhagirathi is too good.

Although it was a great experience with wonderful services but one huge thing was lacking that was the drinking water service. They didn't have any water filter in their hotel premises and kind of forcing the guests to take 1litre packaged drinking water of rs. 40. After encountered they were agreed to provide us filtered water which was in their kitchen (according to them).

It was a beautifully located resort with nature's ambience with the everflowing river Ganges.it's a place where one can think, write, sing and recite poems.

Lovely Resort, Great Position. Special Mention - EXCELLENT SERVICE. The Behaviour of All the Staffs are Extremely Cordial and Friendly. Food was EXCELLENT.

Just I wish the Rooms were Bigger in Size and the More Expensive Cottage Rooms Should have River View. And, it this Resort Comes with a Swimming Pool then that will be an Added Advantage. Really had a Great Experience in this Resort.

I offer three suggestions:
1) Since the Property has been patronizing by mostly Bengali Tourists, I wish too see more Bengali Delicacies including Veg. Items in your Kitchen.
2) Daily Two Complimentary Water Bottles may be provided to each Room instead of One.
3) Pricing 1 Litre Water Bottles @40/- is too much profiteering. It is very much sensitive too, when Indians offers drinking water to their guests on arrival. Believe it, you need to go long way.
Genuinely, treat the Guests as Guests.

Everything about the property is beautiful. Located at a serene location. Rooms are neat and clean. Service is prompt. Food quality is decent too.

We booked the suite room which had 1 bedroom, two washrooms and a separate dining space.

The only problem I faced was regarding hot water. The hot water supply isn't proper as I needed to keep the taps open for very long time before it started to flow hot water.

If you are going to Murshidabad, this is where you should stay!

Very Full piece full place to stay for few days outside Crowded place but having all modern facilities equipped.
River ride in Personal Boat is an added attraction.
Visit of All Nearby Historical places of Murshidabad like Hazarduari by hotel site seeing within 2 km only.

A wonderful resort should have a wonderful name and this criteria has been already fulfilled. The resort is on a bank of the River Ganga, in which reflects the resort. Wonderful view, wonderful food. Overall Great experience for a stay of 3 nights.

The ambience, rooms, services, behaviour of the management as well as all the staff are excellent. The restaurant is also very good. The price of the food are a bit expensive but the quality is very good. The lawn and the garden are added beauty of the resort. Altogether the experience is very good.

On the bank of river ganga, this resort is quite clam place with modern amenities. Historical places like Immambara, Hazarduari, Kathgola Bagan, Motijhil all are nearby.

This property is approximately 220 KM from kolkata.

This properties have ample parking, open space, lots of plam tree and in winter morning you can spot many known unknown birds.

Most of the rooms are river facing rooms and view from the room is quite good. Specially sunset.

Here cottages/ rooms are not numbered. Rooms/ cottages are named after varities of Mangoes, like Amrapali, golapkhas etc.

Check -in and check out hassle free. Nice polite smiling helpful staff.

Food is good.buffet breakfast spread could have been little more. Restaurant price is bit costly.

One can definitely enjoy his/her stay here.

Situated in an exotic location, the river Bhagirathi flowing in front.have an idyllic setting where having a sip in your coffee with your favourite snacks facing the pious river flowing and smelling the nawabi aura is a dream.

We had planned our family vacation at Jalchabi 04 Dec 2021. The best part of this resort was the bhagirathi river view from cottage "Himsagar". You can enjoy the serene river flow while having a cup of tea at your cottage room. Next thing was food which were good except the kochi pathar jhol which was a disaster. But last not the least the manager at resort Mr. Abhishek Roy was very helpful and courteous.
But overall it is a must or one of the best resorts I have visited in recent past.

JALCHHABI is nicely located at the central position of the town and all of the tourists attractions are within 10 minutes ot TOTO RIDE.

The property is really good but guess it's in a very nascent stage now.just the beginning.construction is still not complete.however the staff were courteous.special mention about Mr Abhijit Roy.the food needs improvement though.in taste.and there should be more variety in breakfast buffet. I feel.overall a very pleasant and satisfying stay.

This is the finest hotel in murshidabad and beside googly river.the room called nawab pasand is the best for river view.a nice hotel to relax and enjoy.food quality was good.i think we need these types of more resorts beside hoogli river in murshidabad.

In one word awesome experience. Hotel situated just bank of Bhagirathi. Each room named as different species of mangoes from Murshidabad. There complementary breakfast was mouth watering. Room service was very quick. They also offered pickup and drop from Murshidabad railways station.

Stayed here for two nights during Durga Puja week and it was a lovely experience.
The resort itself was idyllic and peaceful, the rooms were well furnished and maintained, the staff were very helpful and the food was excellent!
Has WiFi facilities and can arrange for local sightseeing.
Definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Murshidabad.

We visited this resort last month. The best resort I've ever been and it only get more breathtaking when u walk along the river. High quality service. Staff was very hospitable. Breakfast was really good. Excellent property and 10mint walk to Motijheel park. Would definitely stay again. Will recommend this resort for all persons that to travel this town.

Nice place to hang out with family andd friends. We have enjoyed a lot - situated on the cave of Ganges, hence enjoyed boat riding to Khosbag.
