I recently had the pleasure of staying at the JW Marriott Hotel in Kolkata, and I cannot express enough how exceptional my experience was. From the moment I entered the elegant lobby, I was greeted with warmth and impeccable service.

The rooms were nothing short of luxurious – spacious, beautifully appointed, and equipped with every modern convenience you could ask for. The attention to detail in the room's design and furnishings was truly impressive. The plush bedding ensured a perfect night's sleep, and the bathroom with its deep soaking tub and premium toiletries felt like a spa retreat.

One of the highlights of my stay was the dining experience. The hotel boasts a variety of restaurants, each offering a culinary journey of its own. Whether it was the sumptuous breakfast buffet at the all-day dining restaurant or the fine dining experience at their signature restaurant, every meal was a gastronomic delight.

The staff at JW Marriott Kolkata deserves special mention. They were attentive, courteous, and went above and beyond to make my stay memorable. Whether I needed assistance with my luggage, had questions about the local area, or required any service in my room, they were always prompt and accommodating.

The hotel's amenities, including the well-equipped fitness center and the inviting swimming pool, added to the overall experience. The location, in the heart of the city, made it convenient for me to explore Kolkata's attractions.

I was very satisfied by hotel services mainly operation team is supportive, fooding is also satisfactory, location wise i can say it was amazing.

I had a reservation for 23 people on Dec 1. I had made an advance of INR 10K for the bookings. Initially I was told I can book the Alfresco area but later the Manager Bijayan Bose informed that the place was already booked. However, when we were there, the Alfresco area was empty. So it was a very unprofessional behaviour on his part to lie to customers. Apart from this, he did not allow me to make payment using Dineout app beyond 8 guests. When I insisted to show me a documentation for this condition per the restaurant policy, he refused and said the best he can do is to extend it for 10 guests. This shows that there is no written policy and the restaurant has clearly cheated me on the technicalities. Other than that, the waiters were not very helpful and I had to follow up a number of times to get me the welcome drink. It was my son’s 5 bday and Marriot made it a horrible night for me as a takeaway. I know nothing will be done to further my case but this is my strong feedback especially to this manager to not cheat customers.

No talk about ambience it was great but buffet food quality is not upto the mark only deserts are good, they should bring more variety in their buffet menu.

Food taste and over all buffet was not worth the Price charged. This is a top hotel and biriyani tasted like pulao. Taste was missed

Went for the dinner buffet. Was a bit apprehensive because there are many average or bad reviews on the internet, but I was pleasantly surprised.

To start off, the ambience and décor is absolutely beautiful, and is what one expects from a 5-star hotel as reputed as JW Marriott. The tables are large and the chairs are comfy, making sure you feel at ease while dining.

Coming to the menu, there were a huge variety of options including Asian, North Indian, Continental and Bengali cuisine. I felt both the non-veg and vegetarian options were sufficient in number. All the food items tasted fresh and delicious. All the chicken and seafood items were really good. The live counters for roti, naan, pasta, chowmein, etc.were wonderful as well. The best part however was the dessert counter. There were at least 25 varieties of desserts, including both Western desserts and traditional Bengali desserts, all of which tasted great. Only the drinks option was limited to either a single mocktail or a glass of soft drink.

The staff were courteous and helpful, and counters were refilled promptly when emptied. The charge per head came to around INR 2,050/- all inclusive. Overall, definitely worth the money to me. If you want a wonderful buffet spread and some fine dining, JW Marriott is the place to go. Overall, a definite recommend.

JW Marriott, the name is enough to understand its grandeur and lavishness. It is the best example of perfectness. We went to have lunch here at the Marriott kitchen. The ambience and hospitality of the staffs was awesome. Many well know faces was also having lunch with us. And as it was christmas time, everything was well decorated. The best part of marriott kitchen I will tell was the dessert section. Please try all the desserts, you will seriously be mesmerised. You can have food almost from all the corners of the world. There is continental food, italian, chinese, indian, different types of breads, salads, fruits and what not. The buffet was a real value for money. Come here and enjoy the food.

I opted for the dinner buffet for my anniversary. The ambiance was classy and the stuff was so much welcoming, that set up the tempo.
Coming to the food, there are good variety of salads, different salad dressing, a unique collection of mayonnaise. I loved the cheese section, but the variety is limited.
I was surprised by the noodles counter. It was most attractive and flavourful. Probably I've tried the best variety of "Thok thok Chowming" there. And the pasta was also very nice. You can actually differentiate the diversified tastes and flavour. I really really liked that. But still it is not that superior level. You still can get better pasta than this.
On the deserts section, it was a handful of collection of Pastries and Tarts. Few Kolkata sweets such as Malpua Kalojam and Rasmalai. But the Kalojam was only which is exceptional and i can visit the place just for that. Other sweets are average.
Almost forgot to mention, they have given a complementary Cake (and the cake is probably better than every cake present in the deserts section). And Mithun and Suvapam were really helpful in this regards.

An outstanding hotel one of the finest hotel chains today. It has all the amenities and facilities available. However somewhere in the modern designing the essence of warmth is getting lost.

Variety of foods are many. So choice of foods are also many.but foods are ok.not very good
