Worst food ever. Don’t go by positive reviews, they serve cold food without any taste. They charged 85 for aloo bhujia, ridiculous! Don’t waste your time & money

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this authentic Bangali restaurant Koshe Kosha, and the experience was nothing short of a flavorful journey to the heart of Bengal. From the moment I walked in, the warm and rustic ambiance immediately pleased me.
The menu boasted a wide array of traditional Bangali dishes, each described with mouthwatering detail. I opted for my favourite Bengali food combination "Basanti pulao with Mutton kosha", a delicately spiced mutton preparation that perfectly encapsulated the essence of Bangali cuisine. I also tried fish fry. The fish was impeccably fresh, and the blend of mustard seeds, turmeric, and green chilies danced on my palate, creating a symphony of flavors.
The courteous staff were more than willing to share insights about the dishes and their origins, adding a personal touch to the dining experience. The price is slightly more but according to their quality and service that is justified.
No Bangali meal is complete without desserts, and I indulged in the exquisite " Baked Rasgulla. " The sweetness was balanced to perfection, a testament to the chef's skill. So overall I will recommend this restaurant to all of you if you want authentic Bengali food to experience.

If I can give them 0 star or worst than that, I would do that actually. Never ever visit here.

A very nice Bengali restaurant with full of artistic decor. Starter was marvellous, shorshe ilish was mediocre, daab chingri was great and dessert were class apart.
A little expensive.
Downstairs space are cosy.
Service was also good.

A small cozy place to dine with an ambience of bangaliana. Loved the kosha mangso and the bhetki paturi. Staff are well mannered and polite. Would love to visit again.

Atmosphere was good. Anyone want to experience good Bengali Cuisine must visit there once.

Ordered: basanti pulao, dab chingri, mutton kosha, chapati, chicken cutlet, aam panna, chhanar dalna, chholar dal, aam doi, baked rosogolla
Dab chingri, chhanar dalna, aam doi and baked rosogolla was awesome but others are okay.
Hospitality can be improved.

Too much overpriced as compared to food taste.
About mutton kosha, we ordered 3 plates, so in 12 pieces few were very hard, few were tender. When asked they said, they don't know. "The foods are coming from some other place. " Now a days these are not expected.
Chitol muitha was hard comparatively.
If compared with Saptapadi, they will be straight winer.

The ambience is good. The place sparks out Bengali culture with it's Paintings and decor. However, the food is not that great as the rating goes. I had dhakai mutton, the mutton pieces of which were not tender. And the worst part is their quantity. Have been to several big restaurants than this but the quantity matches their food prices. Here, it was just the opposite. They charged so much but their quantity was too low and it shows how unprofessional they are. And all these could have been adjusted if the food would have been up to the mark. I also ordered moirala fish but it was bitter in taste and it happens because the fish did not get cleaned up nicely inside. It is not a good restaurant. Would not recommend again. I think other restaurants are there which are much more nicer than this. Won't go again to waste my money.

Bhetki fry was not fresh at all. Ilish bhapa was not at par. Basanti polao was avg. Mutton kosha was ok, not great.

It was a great experience.if u want to taste some bengali dishes keep koshe kosha as ur 1st choice.

The quality of the food here is very nice.

Interiors are good. The order did take a very long time. We waited almost 40 mibs. Food was just ok and is heavily over priced (350 for a veg thali). Service was really bad probably because we were tourists.
Papad came when we were done with half the food.

Ultimate bengali food. It was so so tasty. We were hungry and wanted to try some proper bengali food. We searched around and asked a friend and he suggested this place. We walked a bit to the place from St Paul's Cathedral, but was worth it as we had gotten quite hungry. The food was amazing and so was the service. Must try is the Basanti Pulao, Dhakai Mangsho mutton and the best, Mocha Chingri prawns. It was so good that when we saw on the menu that there are branches of it in Bangalore, we were thrilled. Another thing is the rustic look that they have given to the place. It sorta shows, that rich bengali culture. 5/5. Definitely will visit again.

Basanti polao is a must try dish in koshe kosha.chicken dishes are equally good.the quantity is sufficient at the price they charge.you can get an authentic bengali taste at a pocket friendly price

Ambience was also beautiful.lot of books there if you want you can read also till your order has served but i gave four stars because of little costly dishes but i think max bengali dishes are costly in town.must say its a great experience

Visited several times. Nice quality Bengali cuisine is available with multiple choices of food options & combination. Dessert items are not so worth mentioning. The bengali books stacked on wall & water colour paintings create an aesthetic savour that keeps me pushing to visit this place again & again.

Went to this place as I had heard great reviews about it.
The ambience is nothing much to say. Very basic setup. We ordered fish kabiraji and kosha mangso with chapati.
Fish was good and had a good egg covering outside which was crunchy. I just wished there was a bit more fish flavour as the egg and oil were more strong.
The mutton was pretty good. It looked dark and intense but was quite a good dish. Must be tried. Service is decent but there was hardly any crowd. Can be tried.

The experience was good but I felt I overpaid for what I ate. It has a cafeteria vibe but prices are $$$ high. I think I would skip this place and would prefer something more authentic instead. I have been here twice and the service was better few years ago.

One of the oldest restaurants offering authentic bengali cuisine in kolkata. Loved the non-veg items like koshe mangso. The traditional drinks are just superb and the desserts are out of world feeling.

It is a difficult place to find but those in the know will direct you to this very very Bengali eatery. All their food is crafted with the classic Bong hand at dealing with meat and fish, so definitely don't miss the Kosha Mangsho, the Macher Jhol or the desserts. The ambience is lovely, and very evocative of old world Kolkata. Service is a bit slow but the food more than makes up for it.

Food is good but it is quite expensive.if you are not price sensitive then you should be going here.

An ideal one stop for Bengali cuishine in the popular continental and Chinese hub near to Park Street. The typical Bengali dishes like aloo posto, sukto, Golda chingrir malaikari, khasir Mangso, doi Katla, chatni and several others will remind you of your mother's recipes indeed. Items are a bit costly but justified to the quality.

Visited place with an intension to try authentic bangla food. And the place just didnt disappoint. The captain suggested certain dishes and I must say they all were amazing. Tried their Mutton and Fish. Had their Pulav as welll and gravies with Parota. It was just the food I was looking for. Keep it up.

Food quality good but hospitality not good.

We ordered veg food begun bhaja with mustard paste between two slices, mocha go to, jhinga aloo post and sarsoo saag. They were all simply delicious. Ambience is great with awesome local music & neat & clean. Service is good too. It is worth the money

A very nicely decorated restaurant to have Bengali food with friends and family. Food are delicious. We ordered Mutton kosha and bhetki Paturi. Both of the dish tested very good.

The pieces of mutton in mutton kosha were terrible. After complaining, replacement pieces were served but those were also the same. Will not recommend anyone to visit. Waste of money.

I’m becoming a fan of their vetki fish and mutton kosha, tastes great. Place is well decorated and designed, service is also good.

Mouthwatering food. Traditional Bengali ambience. Service time is moderate. Staffs are well mannered. Variety options to pick from menu. Try combo thali if available on menu. Ideal location near park street area but very peaceful. Would love to try new items on next visit.

A trip to Kolkata is incomplete unless I get to savor Bengali cuisine.

This is my first experience with Koshe Kosha having ordered 2 rice plates, jhinge aloo posto and katla kalia.

Jhinge aloo posto tasted immaculate and enjoyed it after a eons staying out of West Bengal.

Katla kalia for me was kind of ok.

Overall experience is pleasant

One of the most serene restaurants in the region. Enjoy authentic Bengali cuisine there especially the Chingri macher BIRIYANI!

Nice, cozy, decorated restaurant with a few sitting arrangement for bengali cuisine.tasty food is reasonabally priced.

While the food is good, the service is snail-slow. They take an awful amount of time to even provide a bottle of water. Food too comes at tortoise pace. Really irritating if you happen to visit on a weekday for a quick lunch.

Food is awesome in taste, but from my point of view the price of food is little bit of overpriced, must try prawn malaikarry biriyani
