It has always been a fine Italian restaurant. We were very disappointed when we visited it once during the pandemic. However it has again regained its formal glory. The restaurant is spacious & stylish. We had chosen antipasti la Cucina, Spaghetti carbonara & a Tiramisu & all of them were exquisite.

Attentive friendly service and the mocktails are unique albeit a bit too sweet for me. The carbonara was delicious but the pasta was not housemade which was a shame. The lamb ragu bolognese with housemade pasta was rich and tasty. The burrata is a bit dry though and could benefit with some olive oil. Overall decent food, and after weeks of Indian food, it’s good to get some nice Italian cuisine.

Want gastronomic Italian, head to LA Cucina. Awesome food to perfection. Must try Risoto fungi, Penne la Cucina. Service was very attentive with apt recommendations.

Talking about the atmosphere, environment, ambience everything was perfect.
Quantitatively and qualitatively food items were great.
Being a vegetarian, I have tried pizza and pasta with garlic bread.
You will love it.

1. Restaurant is class but the menu card is too cheap.
2. Food is good and tasty
3. They don't have bar tender, so when you order cocktails, the server himself mixes and gives the cocktails.
This is really bad.

The open kitchen shines at this luxury restaurant, located inside the Hyatt Regency. The Seafood Soup and Green Lasagna are must tries. Peach Lemonade mocktail is excellent

I have a wonderful experienced in La Cucina. And I am very happy with my pizza and thank you so much, specially thank you chef Arpo ‍ to make such a beautiful pizza for me.

It was a great experience having lunch there and staffs were very polite and attentive, also thanks to the chefs who were working and made fantastic dishes and also thanks to Avishek sir who handled every thing very smoothly.

Not the best italian in town courtesy serafine but definitely at the top. Expensive. But many of the items you get nowhere else. Worth a visit.
Ambience is also very good.

We went for a family occasion but were sorely disappointed with the food and the service - it was quite simply appalling. Too many negatives to point out - I would recommend to stay away from the place.

Authentic Italian restaurant in Kolkata. I read some bad reviews about this place so bit a sceptical before visiting but good that I thought of give it a try and this is a must try. We tried cold antipasti, crudo pizza, seafood pizza and Tiramisu. Each and every single dish excels. The chef Dola Singh and supervisor Mr Abhishek Poddar did attend personally and we did chat a lot. I loved this place. Not only for food but the ambience and staffs.

Lovely ambiance, amazing food. Hope that are more generous with seasonings as a single dispenser is very inconvenient amongst 8 people.

Outstanding food - pleasantly surprised. Server Abhishek had outstanding recommendations (a lamb tortellini, lamb loin and molten chocolate cake). Excellent!

The staff are extremely professional and the chefs are great for recommendations. They make the best mash! Ask for it as a side!

O had the squid and the steak and both were cooked to Peru. The sauce for the squid was delicious and I could find no fault with the main. The best meal I have had all month. Bravo!

Good Italian food. Risotto is one of the best here.but the service is not very prompt. They get very slow in service. Specially when the restaurant is not too full. But if you let them know about it.they do try to make it better.

Food is ok considering the price we were expecting more flavours. We had a salmon, ham and a pizza dish.

AmBience as usual. Bt D food they served last tym was not upto 'hyatt' mark. Even further 10 days earlier I ordered same dish. Ndd dat tym it was succulent.
And oh coming to service part. D girl keeps serving us last three times so rude nd arrogant. Doesn't know any manner how to host. Earlier one day had been kinda ruined bcz of her how dey got job in one five star restaurant with hyatt dont know

Something in life are worth paying for and experiences matter. I was looking for a dinner date with my boyfriend on our 5th anniversary and this was one place which struck me instantly. I have always been fascinated by Italian local culinary art and La Cucina was perfect in every aspect. I would have given it 10 stars out of 5.

Italian restaurant in the Hyatt regency Kolkata in the salt lake region, I went there for the buffet dinner spread on the day when Waterhouse Cafe was having a separate get-together in it's premises. Can't comment on the food as it was from the buffet, but the ambience of the place was very nice.

It was a really nice experience for me. The environment is fantastic. The staff's are really friendly and very well conversant. Foods are a bit expensive though but its also very tasty. You will love it here.

One of my favorite places for Italian food. The ambience is very good and I have had really good quality pasta and pizzas.

The #1 Italian restaurant in Calcutta.and a place close to my heart. Hosted my parents' 25th anniversary here, and I keep going back for their outstanding Italian food.

Their service staff are not as good as their food, unfortunately. I expect better from a 5-star.

La Cucina is really a gem of european cusine. Every single dish I had wad outstanding and the service always perfect. It's a shame that Hyatt itself has declined over the years but the restaurant is worth the visit no matter where you are staying.

The overall ambience was great, after all its Hyatt, however the food was okay. The pizza and their breads are always good. The boneless chicken breasts were too dry and not having anything to accompany it was difficult to gulp in.

Ambience is superb. Food is outstanding. Presentations are mind blowing. But the service is horrible. If you want to have some good food and you have huge time in your hand. Then this is the place for you. They are not capable of Handling a full house. Although the staffs are well behaved. But they are on wrong hands of the Manager. Because after hearing everything. If you become oversmart in serving some things else. Is not acceptable. Pocket pinch is completely justified if you avoid the service wala thing.

La Cucina is the Italian gem of Hyatt Regency, Kolkata. It offers you quality italian food. One sure recommendation would be the ginger cooler, quite different from what I’ve had in other places and very refreshing. For my main course I had the roasted garlic and sun dried tomato pizza, which was freshly baked and tasted nice, though not much appealing to my personal taste. Along with the pizza I had the baked pasta with stuffed vegetables in white sauce, this one was creamy and oozing with cheese, brava! Overall a good experience. Many thanks to Ms. Shoumani, my server for the day. Keep it up!

One of the best restaurants I've visited in Kolkata. Excellent hospitality, and food is really really very good. The Ambience is also nice.

Having a very good exposure to Italian Cuisine both in India (mainly in Bangalore) and abroad (in Italy), I would say I was pretty much disappointed with my visit to La Cucina in Hyatt Regency Hotel. I won’t complain much regarding the taste of the food and the quality of the ingredients used. Taste wise the food was good. But being a restaurant in a 5 star property I expected a better experience. There are a lot of things that needs improvements. The restaurant has a rustic feel which I liked, but it was not like a fine dine. The service is pretty average. Plating is quite poor considering the fact you pay a bomb for each dishes, around 1200-1800. In many excellent Italian restaurants in India they serve better food, top notch presentation at a fraction of this amount (around 400-700) in a casual dining experience. I liked the Beef Tagliata and the crumb fried salmon fillets served on herbed rice. I liked quality of the meat and loved the lemony flavour in the bread-crumb fried salmon chunks. The stuffed chicken with walnut was pretty badly plated. The Tiramisù was actually really good but the way it was presented was not impressive.
