Lakpa Homestay

Location and Rooms are quite good but Not a value for money. The worst part of this Homestay is their food in respect of quantity. They serves food in very less quantity. The evening sancks are very ordinary and quantity is also very less. We have stayed there 2 days and taken lunch outside for 1 day but they didn't get less a single penny.

Absolutely lovely place with amazing view, cozy interior and great service! Will definitely come back next time! Loved the experience.

Possibly the best location at Rangaroon for the view of Darjeeling hills and Kanchenjunga from this absolutely serene place. Amazing hospitality at reasonable price, from Lakpa and his family. Highly recommended.

Just fabulous atmosphere out there. One can spend 2,3 days easily there without any kind of bore feeling.the views are the best part which anyone can see from this Homestay, sitting on their bed from window. Wanna go another time as soon as possible.love this ambience. ️️

We stayed there 21st Dec.and 22nd Dec. 2021 at Humro Home Lakpa homestay. Very good homestay. If you go there you will feel as like as your home. The host " DIDI" is very carefull. Thank you didi for our care.

এই দোল পূর্ণিমা একটু অন্যভাবে পালন করার ইছে ছিলো শহরের কোলাহল থেকে দূরে শান্ত নিরিবিলি জায়গায় কোনো এক পাহাড়ি গ্রামে, প্রথমে ইচ্ছা ছিল চটকপুরে থাকার কিন্তু এই কবছরে চটকপুর এতো ফেমাস্ হয়ে গেছে যে মোটের উপর সব homestay থেকেই একই উত্তর পেলাম সবার দোল পূর্নিমার বুকিং শেষ। আর কিছু হোমস্টে দিয়ে রুমের যা ছবি পাঠালো পছন্দ হলো না। কিন্তু পরে মনে মনে ভগবানকে ধন্যবাদ দিলাম চটকপুরে বুকিং না পাওয়ার‌ জন্য। ঠিক হল একদিন রঙ্গারুন এ থাকব আর একদিন দার্জিলিং এ থাকব।এতো সুন্দর জায়গা যে নর্থ বেঙ্গল এ লুকিয়ে ছিল রঙ্গারুন না আসলে বুঝতে পারতাম না।দার্জিলিং পাহাড় দিয়ে ভানু ভবনের পিছন‌দিকে যেই পাহাড় দেখা যায় সেইটাই হল রঙ্গারুন পাহাড়। বুকিং সারলাম খালিং হোমস্টে রঙ্গারুনে। প্রথমে হামরো হোমের লেপকা হোমস্টেতে যোগাযোগ করেছিলাম পরে এক পরিচিতের সাজেশানে খালিং এ বুকিং করি। রঙ্গারুনে প্রকৃতি নিজেকে দুহাত ভরে উজাড় করে দিয়েছে পাহাড় চা বাগান আর কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার অপূর্ব মেলবন্ধন। আকাশ পরিস্কার থাকলে রুম দিয়েই কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘা দেখা যায়। কিন্তু মেঘলা আবহাওয়া এর জন্যে আমাদের সেই সৌভাগ্য হয়নি কিন্তু টি এস্টেট ঘুরে আর আশের পাশের ঘুরেই মন ভরিয়ে নিয়েছিলাম। রাতে ছিল বার্বিকিউ চিকেন আর হোমস্টে এর মালিক কুন্দন রাইয়ের বাবার সুন্দর গান‌ পরিবেশন ওনাদর অমায়িক ব্যবহার আপনার মন‌জিতে নিত বাধ্য। খালিং হোমস্টের স্টেটমেন্ট হল "come as guest, leave as family" কথা টি আক্ষরিক অর্থে সত্য। রঙ্গারুনে ইংরেজ আমলের এক চায়ের ফ্যাক্টরি আছে আর হোমস্টের গা দিয়ে বয়ে গেছে এক পাহাড়ি ছোট্ট ঝরনা।

ইচ্ছে ছিল পূর্নিমা রাতে কাঞ্চনজঙ্ঘার ছবি তুলবো সেই মতো প্রস্তুতিও নিয়ে গেছিলাম কিন্ত সেই ইচ্ছে রঙ্গারুন বা দার্জিলিং কোন জায়গায় তেই পূরণ হয়নি।

দার্জিলিং এর কাহিনী পরের পর্বে লিখব। আপাতত রঙ্গারুন এর কিছু ছবি শেয়ার করলাম।

Lovely host. Great view. Awesome food. Overall a very pleasant stay. Great view of kanchenjuga massif and Darjeeling town. Specially Darjeeling town during night is awesome.

Very cosy and homely place. Warm hospitality and great home cooked food. Rangaroon can get quite cold during winters. Pack warm clothes.
