Worst experience ever. Pathetic service. Worst food. Tiny rooms. Non cooperative staffs. Choose oyo over this hotel.

The rooms and lift were stinky (probably excessive cigarette smoke and room freshener.the combination was deadly). The service was notably bad. People were a little clueless, the room service chicken sandwich (with excessive sweetish mayo) tasted really strange and gave me an upset tummy (something that i rarely experience). Food options were not too great. People were definitely not polite as expected in a hotel of this quality. They appeared lacking in experience and training. The rooms were otherwise fine.if you ignore the stink. But strangely there was no table or shelf to put one's luggage on.possibly bad design by a cheap interior designer who isn't used to designing hotel rooms.

At their price one would find many better options in Kolkata. I would not be too keen to stay here again.

Average hotel. Almost no drawers for clothes. For this price you can get a better hotel nearby like Westin etc.

We stayed at the hotel for a wedding and the rooms were booked well in advance. Even then the hotel management could not prepare the rooms for check in. We only got keys to our room by 5PM. Room service was non existent and they did not even provide bottled water on the second day.

I wish i could give zero stars. The service is pathetic and the staff is too non welcoming. I stayed for 25 hours and felt like we were burden on them. They are too rude. And too i mean it when i say too rude. I ordered food in room and i was asked by the staff to come and dine in the buffet if i want to eat “SO MUCH”. This was literally said by the staff. I Even approached the manager of inroom dining. He took the food and left from the room. They were very rude. There was no one in charge who could understand. They all were very rude to me and my set of colleagues.

It’s a pathetic hotel that can ever be. The staffs are so unprofessional they are so rude even if you tell them anything to correct or give them any feedback they are just least bother to take it. As example I told them that this hotel is so bad as they don’t know how to behave, they will simply reply you “THANKYOU”. This is how they behave. & top of that there food is as bad as they are. Their rating should be -100.

Lemon Tree Premier in Newtown offers a vibrant and comfortable stay in Kolkata. Located on Service Road in Action Area I, this hotel provides a convenient base for exploring the city. Firstly, the phone number mentioned on the website and booking confirmation document was not answered by anyone. When we reached to the hotel the check in experience was horrible, the person I was checking in with seemed like he doesn’t care. There is a huge list of things like these. The good points were that the rooms were clean and spacious. Restaurant served good food. When we asked for water or towels or toiletries, the staff was very quick. Overall, It is just a normal hotel, you should not expect much in terms of hospitality.

Buffet was awful. They charged 1800 per plate with no biriyani atleast. Such a disgusting experience. Collecting service tax for serving. Lemon tree dining, you please don't rate yourself to be 7 start hotels. I suggest many other hotels with good food for the charge.

One of the nice hotel at Kolkata,
I would like to share an experience here, I had booking and checking time morning 9am, but I arrived their at 8: 50am,
They asked me to wait as my check-in time at 9 but I arrived early. They made me feel that I shouldn't arrive earlier than my check in time.
As per my experience several times it happened to me that I arrived earlier than my check in time but nowhere I have been treated in such a way that here I was treated at this hotel. Anyway maybe manager was is bad mood or had hectic night duty. After all nice hotel with good food.
Hope to visit there again but worry if again same thing happened.

Deducting 1 star for lesser food options for longer stay

This was my second time I chose Lemon tree premier Kolkata over any other hotels available in Kolkata.
At a very good budget you get super comfy rooms. The room and bathroom was very clean and hygienic. I had nice time at the pool side. They take proper care of their guest.
You must try the delicious chicken tikka curry it's just finger licking good.
Being a traveller I would highly recommend this hotel and also they have huge variety breakfast options (good spread).

The best thing on my 4days trip to Kolkata, the best hotel I so far stayed. The staff were very kind and helpful especially Shyamal, Sajjad, Rupsana and special mention Debjani who made my parents very comfortable.

A good one but slightly overpriced. It shouldn’t be rated as 5 star. That wow factor is missing. Staff behaviour is good especially at the restaurant.

I just love the experience of my stay at Lemon Tree premire, I stayed for one night there, rooms are amazing with tea/coffee maker, tea-coffee making ingredients, refridgerator, iron, toiletries, 2 chairs, tables, almirah etc and wonderful view, you can watch from room, we were at 10th floor, and the new town action area 1 view was fantastic. Foods were very good quality but expensive. Room costs are not very expensive. Staff management and cooperation is nice.

Great hotel with amazing views of the city. Brilliant hospitality from the staff. Though food could've been better and this statement made only with regards to vegetarian food. Looking forward for future stays also

I called Lemon Tree to confirm if rooms are available for this weekend and what are the charges. Someone named Gaurav addressed my call, he was under the impression that I am going to book rooms hence he was responding very gently with me however the moment I told him that I want to know the room charges as I need to discuss with my friends before booking the room, he disconnected the call. Horrible customer service and I don't think I will ever recommend anyone to visit this hotel.

The experience was not upto the level of a 5 star hotel. The room was good. Neat and clean. But the overall feel at the hotel was not like you expect from a 5 star. The buffet spread was too less. The taste and quality were also not upto the mark. Services of Mr Rohit were excellent.

Parking is very mismanaged and there's not much space. No easy access to an elevator from the basement parking level. The interior is gorgeous, but that's only because it's a brand new establishment. The banquet is tiny, though beautiful. Food is not bad, not the best either. They have tried to cut costs in places where such an establishment is not supposed to.

Very good place. We went to citrus cafe. Very good ambiance and food quality is also very good. We enjoyed a lot.
