Little Tibet.is such a lovely and beautiful property to stay in, the staffs are so helping and humble, i met Piyush for the 2nd time as it was my revisit to the property.he is as always a very nice and helpful person and others are as well.though we don't know all their names.they were equally good.the management was too supportive, food and rooms were awesome and we felt like just a home away from home.this time I travelled with my son and we couldn't have felt safer than this hotel. They are very good with kids.keep rocking little Tibet.hope to see you guys soon in future.
We are very pleased about the service of the staffs.we will try to share good ads of the hotel.special thanks to Bishnu and group for giving us a memoriable stay.thank you so much little tibet team.
Piyush one of the great staff ever. Whatever we need in the middle of the night he provides in second. Food was so good. Little bit issue need to done in room. But overall it was very good stay.
We had a two-day booking from September 10th to September 12th. Their rooms are very nice and very clean. The staff here always have a smile on their faces. No need to worry about calling every time you need it. Their restaurant food is very delicious. It is very good for senior citizen to stay here. Walking distance to Mall. There are no uphill climbs that would be difficult to walk. In one word, very good hotel
I selected this Hotel based on reviews and sites. And all was worth. -they have multi cuisine restaurant and I was looking for this due to my personal preference. - side. -Room size and it's quality was excellent. -Bathrooms were nice and of high quality. Hot running water was an issue as it was not adjustable. -Breakfast was again very nice. Meals were OK. And the man of attraction Piyush and Mr. Ashish they were very humble and great hospitality.
Had a 3 day stay with family. Very pleasant and exotic experience. The staff including the restaurant staff were very professional and courteous. One of the best experiences in Darjeeling. They have a very nice restaurant.food is very good
The rooms are cleaned and perfect to spend your special time. The ambiance is awesome. We had couple of meal here which was awesome. And a special thanks to Piyush who is one of the staffs here. Very much pleased with his behaviour. Hope to visit soon.
Very nice location, ambience, sevices. Entry is steep, may be difficult for persons with knee issues. Located at the end of Mall road and close to rajbhavan, distant to markets and eateries.
I stayed at the hotel with my parents from 6th June to 9th June 2023. First of all, the location is fabulous. We had couple of meals there, and I must say the taste is excellent. The hotel staff is polite and efficient. I have to mention the name of Mr. Adarsh, he was one of the room service staff. Always had a smile and instantly helping us. I had a good stay.
A Tibet atmosphere resort located opposite to Governors house and near Mall Road welcomed me. To go inside you need to cross a steep down road, then fleet of steps to enter the reception. A beautiful ambience where Sri Buddha statue, a decorative entrance, on the right a waiting room with a mini library welcomes you. Lot of Tibet things are seen like a rounding bell, statue of Buddha, lovely decorative curtains, cosy cushions plus a small cosy room. Our room was facing the lawn. Where mist comes and goes. Room lights are of Tibetian style, where furniture is full carved. A small room with one open window. Bathroom is small. From reception area on the right then left is the dining hall. Right from idlies to poha they serve for breakfast. Since we were not there for lunch I don’t know what they serve for lunch. Dinner is room ordered or buffet. Their service is good. On the whole it is an ok hotel to stay. If you are staying for a day or two this hotel is better to stay but on long run it is not that good to stay though not bad. Bathrooms are not that neatly maintained. Due to acute water shortage water supply is low. Cleaning the room is also not that good. Only best part of this hotel is 5mts away is the Mall Road. So, an ok hotel not bad still could be made better.
Massively overpriced. The service is pathetic. They charge extra for room heater even after a tariff of Rs 7500/-! Plus, the complementary breakfast and dinner were spartan to say the least. Only saving grace is the property's proximity to mall.
The hotel is in a good location. It's the only plus point. The room service of the hotel is very pathetic. You will have to call 3-4 times for a jug of drinking water, even after that they will provide it after 1 hour. It was not at all value for money. Pathetic room service. Improper behaviour of hotel staff.
We were not given a room till 1pm, and we went to the market, and when we came back at 8pm our luggage were lying outside and most horrible they said food is not available, without giving us any information prior hand.
Since u booked you should give this review.copy paste it.
We pre-booked this hotel for our recent trip to Darjeeling. This was our first time there, that too a road trip from Kolkata. We had no idea about the locality. Hence, we booked this hotel for a day first. We reached and it was like a dream come true for us. The hotel is bang on Mall Road (one end). The hotel has parking area, so we were able to park our car. The room had a balcony with an amazing view. Since we had booked just for a day, the same room was not available and we had to switch to the executive room the next day. The executive room had a garden and mountain view. We walked on Mall Road every morning and night. It is very close to Kanchanjungha Observation Deck. We took amazing photos there. The staff was also very helpful. They have a leaflet also available detailing all the important tourist sites that you should cover.
Rooms Hardly 20 x 10 feet with a pathetic excuse for a bathroom Although their MMT description reads 24 hr room service and wifi.neither was available in reality U need to order dinner by 8pm which is insane and ridiculous
The only thing working for the so called hotel is its proximity to main market Had high hopes but we were let down
Went there to stay for a single day post our journey to Sandakphu. Amazing location. Located very near to the Raj Bhawan. Large rooms with great amenities and courteous staff. You have to go down a little from the Mall road to get to the reception but the serenity and the valley View was worth the effort. It has got a nice old school vibe to it and takes only a ten minutes stroll to reach the Mall. Overall a recommended place in Darjeeling
One of the worst hotel now in Darjeeling. Never book this hotel only because of the management. They are the worst. We have never experienced such bad reception from a hotel.
Bed sheets were dirty and the room had damp smell. I am sure the room was not cleaned for quite some time. No hot water in the morning for shower. Bed side lights were not functioning. Planned to stay for 2 nights but due to the state of the room and service checked out next morning
We have stayed for 3 days, I liked everything about the hotel: the location is good, the room is cozy, the washing room is very clean, the food at the hotel is nice, the staff is very helpful, highly recommended.
Location is the best of this hotel. On the mall road, mostly vehicles not allowed, peaceful, quiet and good for walk lovers. Staff polite and responsive. Food is tasty and well cooked. Rooms require more illumination. Everyday amenities are short of requirements.
Location and service was top notch. Just opp Raj Bhavan, it's away from the extremely loud tourist crowd but still walkable distance from mall. The rooms were a bit behind on electrical and lighting. But service was good. Best place to come, relax and enjoy life slowly.
It's an overpriced hotel with a lawn that's all. Nothing is special about it. Kitchen staffs will tell you half the things on the menu aren't available. Wifi doesn't work. They will give you room without prepping the bathroom, not to mention a window that opens to the lawn where gardening staff will loiter about right outside your window so you will have to keep it shut all the time. No room slippers were provided given it's a crazy cold place and they are charging so much per night. No breakfast was included either. Only the location was good for which they charge such exorbitant rate. Typical Darjeeling.
We booked 2 rooms, we enjoyed our stay. Food was excellent. Room service, view everything was perfect. However you'll not be able to view the mountains properly as there's a new building being constructed right in front of the lawn. Excellent high speed WiFi coverage, ideal for work from home. 5 mins walk from Mall Road.
Very bad experience.the way that guard treat me. My relatives stayed their and I came their to pick them. I don't know what that guard think of me.he said we don't have toilets here.bhai I know we are locals but treat us equally. It's very disappointing. I will never recommended my relatives or anyone I know to stay their 0 star
I recently had stayed at little tibet resort and it's awesome.executive rooms are so spacious and the private lawn was amazing full of sunlight.staffs are really helpful and well behaved.special thanks to Mr Shadab for all the required arrangements and thanks to kaberi.
Best hotel at reasonable rate, great hospitality, behaviour of staff very good, nice view from the hotel and very close to the market area. Overall best experience
Absolutely Best Place To Stay In Darjeeling. Well located Place. Service Was Very Nice. Rooms So Calm & Well Cleaned. Food Served Was So Delicious n Dey r puntual about Timings. Head Cook Mr Arvind Is a very Humble n Kind Man. He Prepared food as per our Likings. Many many thanks to him for best servings. Really It was Pleasure To Stay At Little Tibet Resort.
Service is very slow, the staff seems to be confused. Not worth for the money what they are charging. No hot water facility and if the hotel charges for heater in cold places well have nothing to say about it. I have traveled a lot and I do travel every month and haven’t faced such issue.
Starting from room quality to service, politeness, cleanliness and food little Tibet was the perfect place to enjoy our vacation. Their hospitality was too good and the location was just amazing and the lawn was a superhit.loved it.
Location is very perfect, just besides Governor House. Service is up to the mark. I complaint leakage in Tap, it was replaced within 10 minutes. Overall stay here is value for money, and I always prefer to stay here again and again.
NOT A KIND OF PLACE FOR WHICH YOU SHOULD BE PAYING ROOM TARRIF 6K PER NIGHT!
Rooms are full of damp. My room washroom basin had leakage in pipe and it was so bad that the moment you open the tap, it spills water everywhere. A nasty thing to experience in severe cold. What was more disappointing is that after calling even three times room service didn't arrive to see it. When I complained at reception, then only it got fixed.
Washroom didn't had towel or any cloth front of commode to comfort you from floor chill (I have seen this even in budget OYO rooms).
In other event, placed an order at their restaurant for lunch around 2.30 pm and food wasn't even delivered by 4.30 pm even after numerous follow-ups. At last I had to cancel it and eat outside.
However, most of the staff I found courteous. Also, the manager at reception was very helpful at many occasions, these few escalations were handled very quickly.
I had breakfast and dinner included in my package but buffet for both was just okay.
At this tarrif I expected a far better experience. Recently I had my stay at Aloft Bengaluru Cessna Park, slightly less than what I paid here and I felt every penny worth it. Attaching some property pictures and you decide by yourself. Happy Travelling.
The best part about this resort is it's location.it is just 10 mins walking distance from the mall. The resort is well decorated, tasty food, cozy, clean and comfortable rooms with amazing view. We took two executive rooms. The view from the attached terrace was amazing.each and everything is perfect.staffs were also good and well behaved. Overall it was an amazing experience.
Staff not at all friendly. Also there was issue regarding hot water supply. The water supply was not clean. Moreover when we checked out, I just asked for a bottle of water as I had to have my medicine, to which they replied as I have checked out, it will be chargeable. Worst experience ever. Food was also not up-to the mark.
Hotel location is great- near to a view point and 10 mins walk from mall. Staffs and the food are good. But the room was not clean. Few parts were broken in washroom. They need to focus on maintaining the
Not good u will not feel fresh. No wifi, room heater chargeable, at morning the water was not hot, but even door lock was not working properly. In same budget u can get awesome hotels.
First of all location is very good.very near to observatory hill and close to mall as well.rooms are well maintained.view from deluxe rooms are nice as well.staffs are well behaved and helpful.now few negatives to go, firstly issue with hot water.there is no geyser in deluxe room and you have to call reception everytime for hot water.though toilets are well maintained and clean, flush is very slow and can create nuisance.complimentary breakfast doesn't provide good range of items.food is good in taste but on higher side of cost.tea or coffee is not available after 6pm.overall a good stay for 4days for our group.
Best place to stay in Darjeeling. Amazing ambiance, literally you feel like, you are in old tibet when you enter the place. Central lawn is the biggest highlight and each room is wooden floored for insulation. Hot water flow around the clock. Complimentary breakfast is one of the best i have ever had.
Little Tibet Resort and Spa, Darjeeling (April 2021, amongst COVID situation) review: Location: One of the best location wise. It's almost stones throw away from mall of Darjeeling. The hotel is situated on Jalapahar road which is U shaped walkway connecting two end of mall. The hotel entrance is accross the gate of Rajbhawan of Darjeeling and beside the entrance of Mayfair Darjeeling. So one if stays here is walking distance from mall, Jalapahar road and main shops, cafes and eateries. Ambience: Decorated with Tibetan theme it's a two storied property. The property is facing the valley. However the view is nothing spectacular. You can not see Kanchanjanga peak from the hotel as it facing the other way. But Kanchanjhanga view point on Jalapahar road is about 100 yards walking from hotel. Rooms: Rooms are spacious. It has fairly comfortable bed, pillows, a satellite TV, Dressing table, desk, tea/coffee maker and bedside table. The wardrobe is a let down as it is tiny. Wash room is cramped. Toiletries provided are very basic. Bathroom has running hot water. The property looks a bit old with some need for maintenance/renovation as many fixtures are loose or broken. Reception: Reception personnel are overall accomodating and polit. In particular Mr. Saadab was very helpful. Waiting lounge is spacious with a handful of stock of books and DVDs. But none of the staffs were mask at property and sanitation measures are scant which is a let down during pandemic. Dining: Spacious dining room. Menu is quite elaborate contains chienese, Indian and continental options. Breakfast is complimentary if paid and you will be spoilt of choice. Fresh juice was not available which is bad side (only canned juice) but fresh cut fruits are available. The foods were tasty, more than adequate in quantity and served hot. We didn't get buffet breakfast but they serve you whatever you order from an large array of set menu from north Indian or continental breakfast. Overall 4 star out of 5 mainly because of location, dining and room space. Deduction of points are for basic view from hotel, small bathroom and basic toiletries and poor COVID protocol.
Run by a Tibetan family, Little Tibet Boutique Resort offers a relaxing getaway in Darjeeling. It houses a coffee shop, a sun deck and souvenir shops. The rooms are beautifully decorated and all come with private bathroom facilities.
The rooms at Little Tibet are fitted with freshly laundered beddings and fine furnishings. They feature a writing desk, a seating area and a minibar. They also have a comfortable seating area. The bathroom is modern and fitted with a bathtub, a hairdryer and free toiletries.
Enjoy delicious Tibetan food, drinks and music at the resort. The resort also serves Indian, Chinese, and European dishes. Guests can order room service.
The resort is centrally located, just an easy walk from the post office and banks. Bagdogra Airport and the New Jalpaiguri Railway Station are about 89 km away.
8.5 Guests love the good location! Score from 22 reviews
A hotel with an excellent location-very near to Mall. The food is awesome. Though rooms do not provide a mountain view and there is little open space- yet overall experience is quite good.
Literally third class hotel, worst experience, worst service, would prefer giving zero stars. If you want to order food then you have to order on the basis of what all are available in kitchen irrespective of what's return in menu. Can't handle minimum 5 to 6 guests altogether. Prefer not stay, only view get one star else worst hotel till now.
Hotel location is outstanding, don't need to go to tiger hill, near to the hotel area there is a place to see the Kanchanjangha. Even from hotel rooms & inside garden also, can experience the beautiful hilly scenary. Darjeeling mall area, Mahakal temple everything is nearby. One thing I would like to request to the hotel authority is to take bit more care of the bathrooms, it's smelling. Still I will give 5 because of the wheelchair accessible enterence, car parking which is very rare, clean rooms & hotel premises, hotel stuff are very helpful. They have a decent restaurent inside, food is testy, must try their tea & coffee. There is a small gift shop as well inside the hotel, however, in January shop was closed.
The position of the resort, the decor of the resort, the service was excellent. I was overwhelmed with the behaviour, the reception of the people of the resort. I am waiting for my next stay at little Tibet resort. I am in love with this resort.
Room is very Neat & Clean. Every Staff's are decent & Polite. They have 2 Chef. Both are Excellent. They will serve u ethnic Tibetan Dishes. 2 minutes to Mall
Overall beautiful resort, spacious room, food is good.the staffs are very polite.nice experience.location is near the mall market, mahakal temple.but two single beds are joined to make one bed which is not comfortable.room heater is available as per day charges (rs 400 per day)
Little Tibet Resort is just opposite to Governor's House. Mall is 10 minute's walking distance from this Resort. It’s very neat and clean and well decorated. Room rent is around Rs. 3000/- each. Food is also good but too much costly.
Good location. Good service. Food is good and reasonably priced. But beware of hidden charges. It charges for a room heater in the month of January, which should have been provided free. And Wifi? Not good.
