Lohapool

On the way from Siliguri to Gangtok our driver stopped by this hotel at Lohapool. Facing the tributary Teestha river, this hotel serves some best chai. There are famous dishes like momo, chicken thukpa and chole Batura. Food is good and in no time it served fast. Facing the river that too today being a rainy day, I tasted some best momos.
Just at the brink of exit of this shop, a corner is provided for snacks, eateries and beverages. I tasted churphi their local digestive snack, made out of milk but it is so hard that you need to chew for sometime to soften.
A place to stop by, before you start climbing the hills for Gangtok.

Clean atmosphere, gentle hospitality, good food. Very good location. Plenty of available food items. Worth of revisiting

A congested place with b- grade roadside hotels and restaurants. Just a place for a few moments roadside stop for quick recharge after a long stretch of hill journey.

Momos are not cooked properly, They were selling boiled matar with some added colours in the name of matar sabji, what they offered with puri.

Average eating joint on the way side.highly popular among regular travelers for cheap food.quality not much to talk about.fast service.you can get anything here from Tea to Beer from chole Bature to Momo. Nothing to differentiate from any other roadside eatery on this route.

No chance to get food on this route from Siliguri to Gangtok.
So make sure you have taken lunch in Siliguri.
