Nice getaway to spend the weekend in the lap of Muradi hills. Best time will be in february when Palash is in full bloom

Not a star resort but best location and very good staff, hospitality is excellent. Excellent View if you can book the correct rooms. Ask for Hill View and Lake View rooms. Not at all costly but if you are expecting luxury, you will be disappointed. The owner, Mr Roy with whom I have spoken over phone only, is an accommodation nice man, helped us a lot. Food is Bengali home food, food that we eat daily at home, tasty but not exotic. There is a man named Badal working in kitchen, he is everyone's fav due to his ever smiling attitude. I took my Pet Dog MoMo a Golden Retriever with me. They took care of him every bit.

The hotel is located just few meters away from Baranti lake. A great place for staycation with friends and family The rooms are clean and tidy but outdated and requires a makeover. The service and food was quite good They have a package system for food and don't have any fancy menu.

Mahulban is one of the best rated properties at Baranti in Purulia. Located just at a stone throwing distance from the Muradi lake and the hills, it stands on a very scenic location. Sightseeing destinations such as Garh Panchakot, Panchet and Maithan are close to the vicinity.

The hotel though not a very luxurious one, still might boast on its neat and clean rooms equipped with all required amenities like gyser, air conditioners, alternative power supply etc.

Coming to food, one can be rest assured of homely lip-smacking meals while staying in Mahulban.
The staffs are cordial and helpful.
What more, it's also one of the most reasonably rated properties in Baranti that welcome tourists round the year.

A simple place midat the lap of nature. Facilities are basic but pretty sufficient. No room for any discomfort unless you are really finicky. Food is a simple home cooked affair but delicious. The best part about the place is its location. Located a bit distant from the busyness of Ajodhya hill top, it's serene, in the middle of woods and the Ajodhya range dotting the horizon wherever you look. Ideal for families wanting to spend time together.

পাহাড়ের কোলে ছোট্ট সুন্দর জায়গা barhanti, আর তেমনই সুন্দর পরিচ্ছন্ন resort 'মহুল বন হিল resort' থাকবার জন্য আদর্শ জায়গা।অবস্থান, রিসর্টের পুরো team এর ব্যবহার এবং সব থেকে বড় ব্যাপার খাবার দাবার একদম বাড়ির মত। আমাদের খুবই পছন্দের জায়গা করে নিয়েছে এই resort, নিশ্চিন্তে ছুটি কাটানোর মত জায়গা। আতিথেয়তা যথেষ্ট ভালো লাগলো।

Very very good experience for me and my family. The day we visited this place, we were the only guest at the place and we got superb hospitality. My family was very happy with the service especially the food. They served in saal pata and we enjoyed all our meals very much. Our dog enjoyed very much as well. Rooms were decent and clean, bathrooms were clean but could have been better. Rates were reasonable. There is a good view of the hill from the balcony which makes it very beautiful especially if you visit at monsoon.

Loved the resort. Just the rate of food is slightly high. But the quality of food is good. And the ambience of the resort is just fantastic

This is nice little resort to stay just beside Baranti dam. They provide nice lodging with modern facilities in reasonable price. The manager is cooperative and always available to assist you. They have huge car parking space.

But there is a scope of improvement in their fooding. They probably outsource the canteen to different vendor and they provide below average food in high price. You would find the difference in taste of food when you try food in Garpanchakot Eco Tourism restaurant and Biharinath Eco tourism restaurant which are nearby visiting place from Baranti.

Resort is nice. Location is very good. Foods are average specially rice quality is so bad. But staffs are really polite and helpful. Stay for a day is enough there. We were there for 2 days in the month of October 2020. Faced water problems. Lastly we were misguided by Stewart for taking foods without food package. Paid extra money unnecessarily. Manager Mr. Pandey's behavior was not appropriate at the time of check-out. Never recommend further.

We stayed for 2 days in Mar 2019. We could see palash flowers from our room. Nice rooms with good homely food. Location is peaceful and serene as there are no establishment nearby. There are no shops or ATMs nearby. Perfect weekend getaway place.

Very good receptionist, all well maintained resort. Very good behaviour managers and staff, and i hobe it's all good maintained in future.
My room's bed was very bad so that's why i use 3 star.

Manager Sudipto Roy's behavior was very very bad. Food quality is average rather than the manager, other staffs are fair enough to cooperate but Mr Sudipto Roy just tries hard to make our trip horrible. A Weird experience of my life

Awesome service, amazing food, I had an great experience while my visit in Mahulban Hill Resort too, this hotel is great for take rest mentally and physically, the rooms are clean, and the early morning was awesome, I fell in love with the place and especially their behaviour * (each an every staff) *.

Place is very nice. Seeing natural beauty from resort. But food quality was very bad. Staff's are good. Manager was not polite. Otherwise good experience

ডিসেম্বরের শীত শুরু আর ছেলের বার্ষিক পরীক্ষা শেষে ছোট্ট একটা নির্জন নিরিবিলি পরিবেশে দু এক দিন কাটানোর জন্য বেছে নিলাম পুরুলিয়ার একটি ছোট্ট জায়গা - মুরারদি। ছোট ছোট পাহাড় আর ছোট্ট ড্যাম, সহজ সরল লোকজন আর বুক ভরা বিশুদ্ধ অক্সিজেন। এই হলো মুরারদি। লেক এর অন্য প্রান্তে অবস্থিত বারন্তি। ইন্টারনেট এর দৌলতে খোঁজ খবর নিয়ে পেয়ে গেলাম একটি রিসর্ট- মহুলবন হিল রিসর্ট। আমার এক সাংবাদিক ভাই ও আমাকে রেকমেন্ড করল এখানে থাকার জন্যে। পাহাড়ের কোলে অবস্থিত এই রিসর্ট টি খুব ই সুন্দর এবং পরিষ্কার পরিচ্ছন্ন। ভাড়া ও সাধ্যের মধ্যেই। ১১০০ থেকে ১৩০০ টাকা পার ডে। এসি নিলে ৩০০ টাকা অতিরিক্ত। আর সারা দিনের খাওয়া দাওয়া ৪০০ টাকা জনপ্রতি। ব্রেকফাস্ট থেকে ডিনার পর্যন্ত। যাইহোক, গত সোমবার সক্কাল বেলা আমরা তিনজন বেরিয়ে পড়লাম। পথের মাঝে শক্তিগড় এ গাড়ী থামিয়ে হালকা ব্রেকফাস্ট করে এগিয়ে চললাম একই পথে অন্য এক টুরিস্ট ডেস্টিনেশন- জয়চন্ডি পাহাড়। রানীগঞ্জ এর কাছ থেকে বাহাতি একটা রাস্তা দিয়ে সোজা চলে এলাম জয় চন্ডী পাহাড়। এখানেই হিরক রাজার দেশের শুটিং হয়েছিল। পাহাড়ের উপর চন্ডী মাতার মন্দির। ৫০৩ টা সিড়ি ভেঙে উঠলে খু্ব সুন্দর এরিয়াল ভিউ দেখা যায়। এখানে ঘণ্টা খানেক কাটিয়ে এগিয়ে চললাম মুরারদী র উদ্দেশে। ৪৫ - ৫০ মিনিট পর পৌঁছে গেলাম মুরার দি। রিসর্ট এ পৌঁছে লাঞ্চ সেরে বিকালে বেরিয়ে পড়লাম ড্যাম এর উদ্দেশে। পায়ে হেঁটে গেলে ২-৩ মিনিট লাগবে। এখন থেকে সূর্যাস্ত দেখার অভিজ্ঞতা অসাধারণ। সন্ধ্যা পেরিয়ে যাবার পর ফিরে এলাম রিসর্ট এ। হালকা টিফিন সেরে বসে পড়লাম রিসর্ট এর মালিক রাজীব বাবুর সাথ এ আড্ডা দিতে। অনেক কিছুই জানা হলো ওনার কাছ থেকে। সন্ধ্যা বেলায় আপনি চাইলেই ওনারা বন্ ফায়ার বা ট্রাইবাল ড্যান্স এর বন্দোবস্ত করে দিতে পারেন। রাত এ ডিনার করে এদিন এর বিরতি।
দ্বিতীয় দিন ভোরবেলা বেরিয়ে পড়লাম ড্যাম সংলগ্ন গ্রাম ঘুরতে। পথেই দেখি গাছ থেকে সদ্য পেড়ে আনা খেজুর রস। পাশেই জ্বাল দিয়ে তৈরি হচ্ছে গুড়। কিনেই ফেললাম বেশখানিকটা। কোনো ভেজাল নেই।
ব্রেকফাস্ট সেরে এর পর বেরিয়ে পড়লাম গড় পঞ্চ কোট এর উদ্দেশে। এখান থেকে ১৩-১৪ কিমি। এখানেও প্রকৃতির শোভা অতুলনীয়। বর্গী আক্রমন এ গড় এর আর কিছুই নেই। শুধু নাটমন্দির টা গোটা আছে। তবুও জায়গাটা আমার ভালো লাগলো। লোক মুখে শুনলাম, চাইলে আপনি গাইড নিয়ে ছোট্ট ট্রেকিং করে নিতে পারেন। ঘণ্টা দুই কাটিয়ে ফিরে এলাম রিসর্ট।
তৃতীয় দিনে আমরা বেরিয়ে পড়লাম পঞ্চেত ড্যাম আর মাইথন ড্যাম এর উদ্দেশে। খুবই সুন্দর এই দুই জায়গা। পশ্চিমবঙ্গে ২-১ দিন কম খরচে শর্ট ট্রিপ এর জন্যে এগুলো আদর্শ জায়গা। পঞ্চেট ড্যাম এর পাশে একটা snake park আছে। ভালোই লাগবে। আর মাইথন ড্যাম এ বোটিং করেও খুব মজা পাবেন। এর পর আসানসোল দুর্গাপুর হোয়ে ফিরে এলাম বাড়ি।

কিছু ফটো পোস্ট করলাম যেগুলো মোবাইল এ আছে। আর যদি পারেন ওখানকার অধিবাসী দের জন্য আপনার অপ্রয়োজনীয় বা অব্যবহৃত জিনিস নিয়ে যাবেন। সত্যিই ওনাদের এই পোশাক বা শীত পোশাক খুবই প্রয়োজন।

Had an amazing time at Baranti with my newly married wife! Mehulbon hill resort made our trip really memorable with tasty homemade alike food, warm hospitality and super helpful staff. The resort is located just opposite to a huge green hill and the famous muradi lake is at a stone throw distance. Must try- special chicken pakora (the yummiest we had in a long while).

Good facilities. Yes they can improve their food quality, but It's okay. There are no Restaurants near that place. So there are no other options.

Its a nice property well maintained & location is also good being near to lake where sunset & sunrise is beautiful experience. Also the hill in front of this added beauty to the property.
Food they serve is nice and homely.
Moreover the rate is cheap and friendly atmosphere.

The Proprietor Mr. Rajiv Pandey is an extremely nice person with immense amount of hospitality who also acts as a Receptionist cum Manager and sometimes a steward too and tries heart and soul to fix any problem regarding any complaints received by him for services or rooms facilities.
The rooms are also very good and spacious and gives a very nice view.
The food served by the service people in the dining room gives a sense of warmth which makes the food more palatable and tastier. The food quality is extremely good and digestable.
The staffs are extremely cooperative, helpful and docile too.
I/we am/are extremely glad that I/we took the right decision to book the rooms and stay here.
Mahulban Hill Resort excelled our imagination as we all know that Purulia is a very poor and a down trodden state. Wish we could stay there for a few more days.

এবার পুজোর ছোট্টো ছুটি টা বড়ন্তি তেই কাটাবো, সেইমতো নানান পোস্ট দেখে মহলবন বুকিং করলাম.

গাড়ি থেকে নেমেই রিসোর্ট টা দেখে মন ভালো হয়ে গেলো এতো ভালো ব্যবহার তেমনি ভালো খাবার, মনেই হয়নি বাইরে বেড়াতে এসেছি.

Awesome view from the resort. Food service is very good and the taste is awesome. The serve the tourist in a unique manner. Manager is very polite and the stuff are also very caring about our happiness.

Weekend destination. One star deducted i) there should have been a driver's accomodation (for free).
ii) guests should be allowed to use the roof (if not then the outer yard with some kind of sitting arrangement)
iii) Extra bedsheet to cope up with the night time 'chilling breeze'. (in late summer/monsoon)

Hotel is Clean, Staffs are Very Co operative and Helpful. But as a whole need more professionalism as Hotel Reception has forgotten/ mised out our Booking dates and unable to give rooms for one day.

Excellent Resort at the lap of nature. You could get hill view of the Muradi and the Baranti and other nearby hills from your room. Baranti lake could be reached within 5 minutes walk. In a word location is fascinating.
Rooms are big, airy, clean and full of light. Bed and toilet are hygienic and clear.
Food served is hot and tasty - excellent cooking by Fatik. Other staffs are also nice.
Yesterday I and my wife along with my friend and his wife have returned after nice-spending three nights after visiting all local and remote tourist spots and the whole arrangements were made by them with direct dialogue with car owner Chandan Gope who is also a very nice people with all cooperation and suggestions.
Lastly, I would mention our whole programme was so fascinating with enjoyable with active cooperation, hospitality and suggestions of owner-cum- manager - Rajeeb Babu.

This place is great for its spectacular view of (muradi hill or baranti hills as people call it) and the hospitality of all the staffs including Rajeev Sir. The lake is nearby.around 6 mins walking distance.

Food is ok, though snacks could have been better. They can customize the food/snacks as per your preference if informed earlier. Rooms are good for family and friends as well.

In short its a budget hotel with decent ambience. Sight seeing packages are available in a decent price (negotiable if you can)

The hotel is located around 4kms from Muradi station, you can hire an auto for pickup.
Overall, a nice place to spend the weekend with green hills and lakes surrounding to get you amazed.

Manager and staffs both are really very good and with a very good hospitality. Only negative is rules are different for restaurant charges from any other hotels

Rooms ar good, but food is not hygenic enough as during our stay we, even the other families in the hotel got their stomach upset! I suggest them to take proper care of their kitchen as the place is so remote that there is no other option except having meals in the hotel you stay.

Wonderful place with pleasant ambience and warm hospitality. Extremely cordial staff, simple but nice food. An ideal place for weekend destination with family.

Mahulban Hill Resort located in a nice place, Other staffs are good, Quality food, Clean room available. Expecting manager's interaction and the way communicates should be improved. But one things is lacking is communication - We had to wait 1.5 hrs outside until the other guest leave the room. Which somehow felt embarrassing but we managed it as we were all young guys.

Overall experience was nice, we went their with friends and family and best place to stay here.

Highly recommend Mahulban Hill resort. I am expecting more improvement in our next visit.
