It's a fabulous place with various kinds of fish and aquatic animals to visit in Old Digha.

Badly maintained. Apparently it was submerged in water during Yaas which damaged many exhibits and since then they have not been repaired.

Nice collection. Free for all. Maintenance is very poor. They should have charged few rupees and use it for proper maintenance.

Aquarium not well maintained. They could charge the entry fee. As the entry fee is zero, maintainance is zero.

Must Visit! It's a unique Aquarium and museum. Collection is enormous! Highly recommended.

This is a wonderful place having different marine and freshwater animals. Ranging from fishes to crabs, sting rays, small sharks, colourful fishes and many ohter s. Piranha, sponges and molluscs are also present. A small herbarium is existing where different rare plants, seed, are dried and preserved for display. Different snakes, fishes and other animals are present preserved in formaldehyde. A small replica of sundarbans is also present. No entry fee is required but capturing photos is strictly prohibited.

Marine Aquarium & Regional Center is located near Digha Railway Station. Marine biodiversity of the region is nicely displayed here. Lots of sea fishes, variety of crabs, snails and other live animals can be seen here. There is also a small museum where sea animals are preserved as mummy. Free entry, photography is not allowed. Great place to visit.

It is very beautiful the fishes are very beautiful there is many think to understand and the whale skeleton is wonderful but I not like smell of medicine and other spray and chemical etc but otherwise it is lovely.

It's really awesome. But the worst thing about it is that. They don't allow photography. So it's quite tough to remember the facts u encountered with.

Such a lovely place to be. My 8 years son enjoyed a lot. It is clean and well maintained. All inhabitants looked so happy. Everything was so beautiful inside. You come here to see marine life and that's what you will see.

Digha marine aquarium এটি এশিয়ার মধ্যে বৃহত্তম একটি একুরিয়াম।এটি মূলত নিউ দিঘা বিচ এবং ওল্ড দিঘা বিচের মাঝামাঝি অবস্থিত এবং রেল স্টেশনের খুব কাছেই অবস্থিত । 5 মিনিটে দূরত্ব। এখানে প্রবেশ এর জন্য কোন এন্ট্রি ফি মানে টাকা লাগে না। টোটালি ফ্রি। বাচ্চাদের এখানে খুব ভালো লাগতে পারে।এখানে বিভিন্ন ধরনের জলজ প্রাণী জীবন্ত আপনারা দেখতে পাবেন। অক্টোপাস, শার্ক, লাল কাকড়া, শীল মাছ, এছাড়া সামুদ্রিক সাপ, বিভিন্ন ধরনের রঙ বে রঙের সামুদ্রিক মাছ আপনারা দেখতে পাবেন। ভেতরে বড় টেলিভিশনে বিভিন্ন ধরনের ভিডিও দেখানো হয় বাচ্চারা খুব এনজয় করতে পারে।এছাড়া প্রায় 40 ফুট লম্বা তিমি মাছের কংকাল আপনারা দেখতে পাবেন ওখানে । আর পাশেই পিওর ড্রিংকিং ওয়াটার ও খুবই পরিষ্কার পরিচ্ছন্ন বিনামূল্যে টয়লেট এর ব্যবস্থা রয়েছে । ।সকাল 10 টা থেকে সন্ধ্যা 6 টা পর্যন্ত খোলা থাকে। আশা করি 30 মিনিটের মধ্যে এটা আপনাদের সম্পূর্ণ ঘোরা হয়ে যাবে।আমার ইনফর্মেশন যদি আপনাদের ভালো লাগে তাহলে আমার কমেন্ট অবশ্যই লাইক দেবেন।

It's a big building with Aquarium and Museum. There is a large whale skeleton (ORIGINAL) infront of it. There are no tickets here. You only need to enter your name and address. You can see everything here in just 20 minutes. It is located in a very quiet place and near the sea. You can take a rest here and spend time.

It's 5min distance to the old Digha. And about 10min distance to the New Digha.
And it's totally free of cost. But the time of opening is fixed. If you go to the digha then you must visit this place.

Marine Aquarium and Regional Centre (MARC) is one of the 16th regional centres of Zoological Survey of India in Digha under Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India. The centre is established in 1989. The centre has two distinct wings viz.research centre and aquarium in addition to facilities for mass education to people. The research wing of the centre started functioning in 1989; however, the aquarium was opened for public since 2003. It was set up with the objectives of conducting education and awareness programme through the marine aquarium which is an integral part of MARC and providing infrastructure facility for conducting professional training course on coastal and marine ecosystem.

The Aquarium situated at old digha, nearby to the Digha hospital. The aquarium has variety of fish and it is well eqipped and mainted. A good place to visit with childrens. You can get to see some new species also.
