Once a iconic place, a crowd puller now gone bust. Paid parking available on road, but was disappointed to see the mess area has become. Lots of roadside food stalls nearby selling momos, chaats, sandwiches, shakes etc. The place is tacky, although the taste was good but the quantity was just for a snack. They boasts of selling thali etc.but the food was not available due to cooks. Only Maya Ram pawbhaji and fridge cold momos with some shakes available. No tea/coffee. This place was bustling with crowds a decade ago due to no competition, now everywhere there are shops, Street vendors, restaurants selling paw bhaji. I would say if you want to eat paw bhaji then princep ghat or near scoop alongwith Ganges will be the right choice, atleast one can enjoy the view. Nothing special here to mention.
The idea was to have a fruit juice and leave. But the pav bhaji was tempting so ordered one for myself. I ordered special pav bhaji. It was soaked in butter, the fillings was floating in melted butter and I am not used to such of butter. Could only have half of the bhajji. Else it was a nice food stop. Next time I will order something else from their menu.
Delicious food, especially the Pav Bhaji is just fabulous. We tried the special pab bhaji and it tasted great, half plate was good for two people with extra pav. We also ordered Masala Dosa but found it be just average. Place is popular amongst vegetarians and situated in a prime locality.
Worst Worst Worst. No hospitality at all. We ordered dry babycorn at is was nowhere crispy. We said and they replied aisa hi milega. We said take it away.then we awaited 20 mins to order paw bhaji they didnt took and asked to take coupon first.worst worst worst attitude. Very Cheap.
Garbage food. Dont ever go even near this place. This place's speciality is pav bhaji and it is worst in whole india. I ve never eaten a pav bhaji so oily and nauseating it almost made me vomit.
If you like rubber bands and pieces of pebbles in your food, along with awesome tendencies towards vomiting and food poisoning, then this place is highly recommended for you
If you're craving pav bhaji in Kolkata, look no further than Mayaram. The nondescript joint has been going strong for almost three decades now and never disappoints. Simple yet so effective.
So many memories of this place. And the taste remains the same.
Masala dosa and special pav bhaji are delicious. Sitaphal kulfi is also good. They have ample seating space, a hand wash area, and outdoor service as well.
Varieties of Indian and South dishes are available with great taste at the best price. Varieties of juices, pizza, sandwiches, ice gola and kulfi with amazing taste available
