Gives an worthy cinema time at a very low ticket price though it gets overcrowded and not so comfortable during rush, they must improve there infrastructure

It was a great experience. But still I would like to give it 4 stars just because there are soo much stairs. It's a problem for those who r not able to walk properly. But still it was a great hall.

To sit in the balcony is good for watching a movie. AC works, sits are not that good. 100 is the ticket price for balcony seats. Overall cheap.

Should improve sitting place and chair. The hall was smelling alot. Seats were not comfortable at all.

One of the oldest cinema hall I ever visited in kolkata.sound quality and picture quality was average. Low price and prime location in north kolkata.

Quite a good ambience is offered. The picture and sound quality is also good if the charges required is compared

This is an old single screen cinema hall. One thing that I do not like about this hall is that there are still plastic seats on the ground floor. The picture quality and sound is good. Now this hall plays 3D movies too.

They don't have proper air condition though they charge for it and amidst the movie if there's some chaos they don't pause the movie and resolve it. Quite uncoordinated it is neither they switch on the fan timely.

Though the cinema hall is good, still it needs some renovation work. The Projection Screen can be a bit better.

Price wise the hall is very good, prices are very affordable, seats are okay kind of not gives u ultimate comfort but Price wise quite good, sound quality is amazing tbh, screen size is medium.

Seat quality and sound box should be improved. The hall is attached with the BookMyShow but no AC is working. They run the Fan which is not good.

This is an iconic standalone cinema in North Kolkata. The cinema is on the street connecting Hatibagan and Shyambazar crossing. While many others eroded away with time Minar stood strong with renovation and upgradation.

I did not go inside but from outside looked very impressive.

Will visit soon and will review about the movie experience.

Love this place. The only disadvantage I their sitting place is not at all comfortable. It will hurt you as it is not made of leather. The Sound is quite Good but need to improve. Overall Nice Pocket Friendly Cinema hall

Old is gold.thefeeling of a real movie hall with the good old popcorn seller is selling his small priceless packet of popcorn and chips during interval, a innocuous feeling completely divorced from the obnoxiously modern cineplex where anything is charged 5 times the normal price and the consumer happily buys it with a guileless smile.

You're going to watch a ceiling fan my friend. A freaking ceiling fan occupying some of the screen is all you are going to get. However the place was recently renovated and they're screening 3Ds now in hindi. They assured that finally they are able to get rid of all the bugs from the chairs. Thanks to them.

Heritage cinema hall in kolkata. Many heritage halls were there but because of the modernization many of them is already closed only few of them are still there. So dont miss the chance and go watch a movie there.

Location is an advantage for north citizens. Adequately clean. Seats are backdated and poorly maintained.
Tickets are reasonable in price.

This is not a multi screen hall very simple single screen hall with good surrounding sound and good picture quality

One of old cinema hall in kolkata. Well maintained. Once you have to go there.you can feel inox is in other side and minar is in other. 3d facilities also available.

Old times cinema with a massive auditorium with large number of seats. Needs a upgrade to compete with new halls but for a cheap movie experience its pretty good.

My experience was good but not very amazing because of the uncomfortable seats.although the Dolby sound and picture quality was very good.

It's a budget movie hall. Management does not know how to manage crowed when it comes to a super hit movie. Sound system is not digital.

They have renovated the sound system but they could have done some thing for sitting arrangement too.they have old plastic chairs

Well it is quite a good cinema hall.
Sound system and the screen both are good. Seats of the balcony could have been improved but if you look at the prices you would not find it discomfortable.
Over all it is a good cinema hall and you can visit it with your family too.

It's one of the oldest and probably the last one single screen cinema hall in hatibagan. They currently arranged the 3D projectors in the hall. The hall is not upgraded it must be cleaned more and Seating arrangements need to be more imprved

Minar has a decent screen quality but the sound experience is worst there, if you book seat at the last row then you'll don't get the clear vocals every voice note will not be clear which is frustrating for me.

In the era of multiplex Minar was one of the few still fighting hard to stay in the race. It is located in hatibagan. The tickets are very cheap. It has Dolby sounds and updated projections as well
The screen is a bit small compared to the size of the theatre but with the price they are charging it's manageable. The tickets can be booked from all leading apps.
Overall it's good if you are aiming at lower budget movie time.

After renovation, minar cinema hall with its sound system, ac system is turn into better than past. IT'S should change their sitting arrangements. Hike of ticket price doesn't matter with that changes.

Minarets Cinema is still bearing the essence of old Kolkata single screen cinema hall. It is located on Bidhan Saranee in Nth Kolkata region. It is located opposite to the Mitra Cinema which becomes permanently close few days earlier. Minarets is located right beside the Shyambazar post office. It is well connected through road. It is also accessible through Metro railway service also as Shyambazar metro railway station is near to it. Mainly Bengali films are screened here.

VERY VERY POOR condition of hall, also very much dirty and unclean, SOUND SYSTEM was very Loud and striking hear badly, AC was running very slow or rather say temp was high, And last bt not the least covisitors quality also not good.
My First Visit was My last Visit.and in my opinion it is better not to watch movies rather watching in this hall

Today I have visited the first time for cinema at Minar with my family but return without seeing the same KANTTHA, due to unavailable sound with technical failure.

Not that much great. While watching the movie, fan sound is so annoying. AC is working but i think need fan replacement of AC.

Now minar arrived with it's new avatar of 3D projection.
I have a suggestion for minar cinema, that if they can change their old toned seats to new sofa type seats. They it will be best in north Calcutta.

Don't be fooled by the 3d showing of this theatre, uncleaned sits, a very small screen, you will find Ac on only when you enter this theater once movie gets started they will only run fan and put the Ac off total waste of money visiting this minar cinema

Overall a good place.bengali movies and other movies u can watch with reasonable price.price is not soo high here.situated in hatibagan market area.restaurants are available near the cinema.shopping centres in near.

Drill machine work and hammering job is going on projecter window while running a show, its really disturbing. Seats also not comfortable.
