Service and behaviour of restaurant staff is good. Food is absolute bland and not worth the money. Momos cost 200+ and soups 300+ rupees. The price wouldn't have been an issue if they would have been sincere about the food quality. Recommended only if you are terribly hungry with no restaurants nearby. This review is about the Jodhpur Park outlet.
The foods were just awesome.lip smacking even better than China Town, what I loved the most is the chicken bao. And we took a pork bowl, in that bowl we got 2 prawn chips which I liked very much, it was damn tasty. You definitely should try the schezwan noodle (pork) bowl. You can have a veg or chicken option for that bowl as well. The ambiance was good, and the behavior of staff was also nice.
It was a very pleasant experience i went there with my sister we enjoyed a lot. The ambiance is amazing and so it the food. The staff was also very polite. Highly recommended place!
Momo I am in the Golpark area is very small as compared to the one in sector 5 but the food is almost of similar quality. Good for small outings and hangout.
I am not a true fan of chinese and Tibetan dishes but here authentic tubetan foods are delicious I must say. Price is little high but according to their dishes it is acceptable. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated. Staffs are well behaved and helpful. Great place for friends and family.
Small yet cozy atmosphere for family/friend/self eating, especially Chinese items. Air-conditioned road side eating place adjacent to Lake Gardens crossing. Serving persons are very well behaved and helpful.
I'm a regular at this branch of Momo I Am, and I somehow feel this is the best one in terms of consistency in taste and service, though I haven't been to their larger (and hipper?) Salt Lake and Science City branches.
I've had everything, from their momos, thukpas, and shaphaleys to rice, noodles, appetizers, sides, and bowls. And I can happily say that there's nearly nothing that doesn't taste fresh, scrumptious, and frankly, addictive.
I can recommend this to anyone, regardless of whether they love Tibetan and Chinese food, and I'm sure they'll have a happy dining experience.
Experience was splendid. Situated near lake gardens lords crossing. Nice funky decor and seating. Friendly and courteous staff.momo and the soups was supergood and we enjoyed all the dish thoroughly. Only my suggestion to the management, of possible please change the crockery and cutlery, because its very below par.rest everything was flawless and tremendous.
Momo I am is a brain child of Reevu Wangdi and Pravakar Yonzone and they opened up their first outlet in Lake Gardens. Soon they popularized and today there are branches of momoiam at Rajarhat Chinar Park, Salt Lake CD Block and at Golpark other than the lake gardens outlet. The outlet has both open air an air conditioned sitting available. And the Quirky wall art of the place is sure to win your hearts
The Ambience of the place can be enjoyed by friends family and colleagues. The dishes we tried were Bruce Lee: This is one hell of a refreshing drink. Infused with cucumber the taste of the drink is as unique as it's name.
Pork Bao The Pork Bao was next and was one of the best dishes– a soft steamed bao filled with double cooked crisp pork belly paired with pickled cucumber, plum mayo and lettuce made for a superb dish.
Fluffy Chicken Momo This one is a new addition to their menu and is totally worth it. This tastes totally different from a regular one and the filling is a bit spicy. The taste is amazingly good and anybody who tries would love it.
Crispy chili plum wings. One word for it: mind-boggling This is one of their best starter and is lipsmackingly tasty. But as it's wings the chicken is not boneless. But I do love it so much that I try it everytime I visit it.
Chicken Mamasan curry bowl Rs. 320 This Creamy coconut curry bowl features soft potatoes and two chicken drumsticks. Served on a bed of rice and topped with fried onion basil blanched chili. It is an aromatic bowl with spicy mix.
Cheese Cake We ended this treat with a surprisingly delicious Cheese Cake served up with Vanilla Ice-cream and strawberry sauce. The cheese-cake was really nice and ended our treat on a sweet and memorable note. . With the monsoons around Momo I Am is perfect for a quiet evening with family and friends and of course lots of good food.all the dishes served by them are real pocket friendly and tasty enough to be recommended highly. Excellent Chinese food. The location is convenient also. The staff is helpfull.the outdoor siting arrangements are nice. Though you can sitbindoora also.
The food is delicious and authentic chinese. The ambience and interior decor is also very trendy.
The place is good if you want to have good tibetian dishes. It is a must visit place. This place is located in lake garden near to south city mall. Enjoy dinning #happytummy
A very pocket friendly place and offers huge variety of tasty Momo's. One of the best place for momo lovers in Kolkata. The place offers both inside h open sitting facility. The place is a bit small but surely the food quality will make you forget that part
The place doesn't have any big boards or banners, so difficult to locate. The interior is very small, hardly enough space for 20 people. Service is pretty fast. Coming to the food, the bao is overhyped, small and not at all tasty, the bread was not even fresh. The pork chilly was awesome, tender and juicy pork strips cooked in hot sauce with veggies. But the best part were the momos, very thin outer layer with delicious minced meat fillings. The soup on the side was minimalist but extremely tasty. The overall price is also pretty pocket friendly.
I have been visiting Momo i am since it was a little non-ac pocket friendly store with limited menu. It was good to see some changes this time around. From food and menu to decoration and service, they have improved a lot in every possible aspect. The decoration is somewhat similar to other Momo I Am joints – wooden table and chairs, graffitied walls, quirky posters etc.
We ordered something simple – • Shitake mushroom noodles – noodle was perfectly cooked with a lot of vegetables, chicken and egg. Since the name spells ‘mushroom’ they should have used more mushrooms. • Chicken shyapta – Shredded chicken cooked in Tibetan style non spicy gravy with julienne cut pepper onions etc. • Cheesecake – they served it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It tasted really good. But somehow I felt it was frozen a little longer and lost the much needed buttery texture of a cheesecake.
I would love to have some of the staple food items of Momo i am like bao, thukpa, dimsums, bowls etc on my next visit.
This is undoubtedly one of the best places for Chinese food in Kolkata. Food is amazing and the service is really quick. You literally order and they serve in a few minutes. They have been maintaining their quality of food since I had visited them the first time and now they've just upgraded to another level. Drums of hell is a must try!
The Momo's and thukpa reminds me of the momos I had in Darjeeling and Sikkim. The service is excellent. Must try- Chicken Bao! Visited again last week to this rather small but wonderful outlet, from where I guess their journey began. The food tasted great just as it was earlier and the restaurant has been beautiful decorated. The customer service remains great and I will be visiting again soon!
A small place.almost hidden in broad daylight. But the food does all the talking. I'm a regular customer.always manages to dish out food that speaks for itself.
The service sucks. No one listens to you unless you have a baritone voice. Also eat everything that you want and never take suggestions from the waiters. Their suggestions sucks equally.
