Mount Amara Hotel & Spa

I have been using services of this hotel since last two years for my official and personal visits to siliguri. I loved the location as it is within the city but in a peaceful place. Food and hospitality is also good. GM and reception staffs are also very welcoming.

Actually it does not deserve a single star. Nothing about the place is good. Even an Oyo room will be little cleaner than this hotel. Since I was on the first floor of the hotel all the other rooms waste water was coming inside my bathroom and the whole place had horrible stink. TV didn't work throughout and nobody had a clue as to what was happening. The reception staff is tick skinned and carry no information or responsibility towards customer service. It's strongly suggested to refrain from staying in such an unhealthy place

Not recommended, if you want to stay peace of mind.i planed official tour, but experience of stay in such hotel was worst. No kitchen work after 3.30am. No phone work in room.

Worst hotel in Siliguri only the f&b service is quite good but Front office to hotel manager is worst when we entered the hotel everybody in the front office were busy talking with each other
Like seriously they are the spoiler of your hotel, unprofessional staff of front office and manager too I will never recommend this hotel to anybody, & comparing to mount conifer and other hotel of mount this mount amara is worst I request management to look forward to your ‘Amara’s staff and your hotel too worst hotel bad washroom bad room and room was very very very small

The best stay in Siliguri must go to a nice place and nice service staff was friendly and helpful

Hotel room was big and nice. Service is ok ok type. Location is quite far from main town of Siliguri town.

Called reception 4 times to ask for towels and mosquito repellent. They didn’t bother. Had to go down to reception myself twice before they sent them. Very bad service.

The location is nice away from the hustle of the city. The staffs at the reception and restaurant are very helpful and friendly. Miss Supriya at the desk was so polite & helpful. Only negative point is there's no lift in block b but it's okay if you're not aged. Would love to visit again.

Room was good. Mr. Rai in front desk was helpful in assisting room on a lower floor.
Recommend for short stays.

Not good to stay. Location is not good, rooms are not clean, have mosquitoes and bathroom not good.

Worse experience ever a bad smell in the room dirty utensils in the corridor throughout the day washroom door wont close properly cheap class mattress wifi wont be working when i request to change the room staff said she will not bcz i check in early which was only 1 hour and in my booking 3 hour early check-in was free totally ruined my stay

Room was good, receptionist Akhil and Seema were helpful and nice, food was tasty and serving staffs were good.

It was great and excellent. The food, staff and most importantly the room everything was perfect. The staff were very well mannered and very active. All over it was a lovely experience.
It was worth it.

Hotel is not on the main road but have to travel inside a narrow lane to reach. The initial room provided had stagnant smell of cigarette smoke. The room and washrooms were not cleaned.
Manager was helpful to immediately change our rooms and get it cleaned before we move in.
People were partying late and we could hear noises from our room.
Avoid if you are traveling with family and kids. You can find cigarette buds and smoke smell in the stairs and corridors.

This hotel has a high tariff and the room is not upto the mark. Not at all worth. Moreover we won't get auto/taxi from the hotel's main gate hence we have to travel half kilometre to get a taxi or auto

I stayed here from 3rd October to 5th October 2022. Food was too much expensive as well as there was a problem of shortage of foods. If you demands cold water, everytime they said not in stock. If you ask for tea, you need to wait for 1 hr atleast. They will not change your bedsheets and other stuffs without demanding by you as well as they won't clean your dustbins without demanding by you. Only one thing is right after all this, whenever you complain to staff they reply with smile that they can't do anything. Don't stay here till if you are not in Problem.

If you are searching for a hotel in Siliguri don't go anywhere it's not a recommendation it's a request. I'm in love with this hotel's hospitality

Very difficult Location from the city with very narrow roads.
Rooms were maintained very poorly and smelly.
Though we booked a AC room, AC connection itself not established in that room.
We went on a trip so we stayed in more than 5 hotels and we gave every hotel 5 star and this hotel we r giving 1 star shows the difference.
No ventilation no lift etc.
Atleast the one star I for only the staff boys who were so kind.

It was good experience and the stay was amazing, some construction was going on so there was noise and was disturbing, the rooms were not sound proof, but overall the stay was good.

THE GOOD

1. The TV and AC work.
2. No smoking.

THE BAD

1. The Location
It's located on a bylane of Sevoke road.but a deserted bylane at it. No shops around to cater to small item needs. Also seemed unsafe after dark. Not an ideal location I would say.

2. The Entry
You will be welcomed by a foul smelling open drain right near the entrance. The hotel doesn't deem it necessary to spread some bleaching powder around.

3. The Reception
The reception hailed a cab for me which wanted to charge ₹1200 for a 6km ride which was ₹300 on Ola. Nice sacm guys. Also there is no one to help you with your luggage. Sometimes the sceurity guard doubles as bellboy.

THE UGLY

1. The Room
i) The linen was unwashed. It looked like they change it once a week.ii) The cushions had dirty stains on them of lord knows what and so did the curtains.iii) The floor was not swept.iv) a small piece of soap was provided in the name of toiletries, nothing else.

2. Service
The worst part of the stay is service. It's HORRIBLE! They don't have dedicated staff to cater to room service so don't expect to get anything done within half an hour.
They will often forget your order.make you wait for an hour etc and you will get to eat a cold overpriced dinner in all likelihood.
The reception doesn't always pick up your calls. They simply mute the phone. TERRIBLE!

NOT RECOMMENDED AT ALL.

Good budget hotels for business and leisure trips, nice silent place, good food and menu been served.
Though service could have been fast and prompt after receiving any order.
Else is good, big parking place and restaurant with complementary breakfast available.

Please check in your Booking & Offer's System where your Telecallers trying to booking our Rooms alongwith the complementary Breakfast free but I facing the same Breakfast with the Gangtok & Siliguri also.

On this price this hotel is very good. Clean, but litle bit away from main road.
Max time we had to go aprx 450mtr walk to take auto.

Okay but very irresponsible staffs, neither the front desk, nor room service. Asked for a plate of chilly chicken at around 10pm and got it when I was almost slept around 11: 45pm. Need to improve in providing quick services.

Oyo ka varosa mat karo TV dega but chennels nahi rahega. Wifi dega but kam nahi karega. Bol ta he We did not commit for channels. A he oyo

Worst experience with oyo rooms till now. Long queue with only one staff at the reception. No helper to get luggage to the room. Also wen got inside the room the little expectation was also short lived. Unhygienic room with dirty bedsheets n pillow cover. Bathroom lacks basic toiletries. And dialing the reception and getting work done was next level of herculean task. The one corner of the staircase was piled with dirty dishes.
The management's "I don't give a damn" attitude was suprising to see when the concerns ws placed in front of him. Lastly it's way too interior from the main road n finding an auto way in and out is very difficult. Avoid this hotel if u r up for the oyo standards.

One of the worst Otis I have been to among the 100+ that I have stayed in. Dirty linen, leaking toilets, dirty carpet. Had to wait 2 hrs before I could get a room

Pretty good, clean, comfortable rooms. Toilets are pretty clean and good too. Service is also nice. Overall, very impressive

The main advantage is the tariff of hotel is very economical. The location of hotel is near the market and Mall. However the main disadvantage of hotel is located half km away from the main road. The condition of road is very bad and no street lights. Therefore, it become bit scary to visit property at night. I have observed seepage in the walls of hotel which gives bad smell. The room condition in reasonably well.

Hotel was far from the main road. U can come in but all the way u have to walk to the main road, as no transportation is accessible. Booked from oyo, rooms. I had to take bath in a different room as none of the geiser at working.

I had a decent experience during my stay here. Rooms are clean. New property.
The disadvantages I felt here is the location. It is a bit inside from the main road and I didn't find any lift. My room was on third floor. Otherwise quite comfortable in the price range offered. Would definitely come back if I am in Siliguri.

Nice place so nice.they have well manners and Franky behavior. Food service and avablity are so nice.nice hotel in budget range.but the restaurant is so costly than Siliguri.but the food of the restaurant is so much yummy.and wifi service is so Bad. I don't expect that.it is not good for a solo bachelor Traveller.and the TV has only news channel that's made me so bore.they are not subscribed the Tata sky pack.bt it made me so happy.

Nice place for stay with family and friends. Reasonable price and Clean and fresh rooms. Food quality was brilliant. Room service could have little bit better.

Very big new lovely property but not in full run and process applied, at 00: 05 room cleaning man came with duplicate key! Location wise interior. Restaurant is costly compared to the city Siliguri. Otherwise I had comfortable stay here.

This is the best Oyo experience for me till date. Great rooms/Foods & cheap rate (which was very surprising)

The rooms were decent and good. The food was okay. You need to walk for around 400-500mts from the main road which is not clear from images available online. Two malls nearby. The service was okay.

The room we got was little damp from inside. The view outside window was good. Geyser was there but wasn't functional. We didn't need it but if u need please check before taking any room.

We had a problem on second night when the water from another room entered our room. The faulty in construction I guess. At the middle of night we had no option and the manager at desk asked us to manage. He said they didn't have an extra room as it was full. The staff tried to take water out but it was too much as the ground level wasn't equal. We tried to book another room and requested for vehicle to shift as it was around 12.30am but they didn't have any. The level of the water in the room was around 3 inches.
Tried calling OYO and within 15minutes we got shifted to another room.

So yes it's new and good property but that night turned into a nightmare and surprised how the hotel which was full had an extra room available. The reason we got was someone cancelled which is surprising!

Nice hotel, room was clean bt the bathroom wasn't. Restaurant was in-house. Good foods available.

Pretty poor service and maintenance.but provide goid facilities like freezer, tv, ac geyser at a very low price. Found tge room very dirty.
