Mount Embassy Hotel, Siliguri

Requesting all business travelles to not stay here.
I am a training Manager in renouned MNC and I was staying with one of my colleague too.
Before I forget to mention I am a female and staying with a female.
But unfortunately my BDEs were male and that was the biggest mistake.
They had come to my hotel to see me talk to me and they themselves can Makeout that we were not kids going to OYO.
Now in today's world can companies recruit on basis of Gender?
Is my question to all.
They didn't allow my BDEs to allow in my room.
I am coming from outside siliguri and I have to talk to these people and people who are working in a management position very much know that it's very important to talk to them.
And if you enter the hotel you will see for yourself that these lobby is not spacious nor it has the environment to talk comfortablely with your peers.
It's my request to all to not stay here if you are a business travel or your visit in siliguri will go in vein.
As they will ruin your entire business trip.
Because if you have different genders working under you and if you want to talk to them or have a meeting with them in your room they will not allow.
Also they can do various tricks like
1. Visitors not allowed past 8 though you can clearly see the time is 7.30.2. They don't allow male and female (what they don't understand is if male and female wants to do something they can as there are 100 hotels here or they can book 2 saperate rooms in the hotel and spend the night).
3. They can also threaten to cancel your reservation in the late evening.
Before I forget the room I had got
Which was 201 had a kids dipper under the bed table and had to call reception just get it cleared just after checking in.
4. Also it's fully damped and all these things you all can check for yourself.
Please think twice before thinking.

Very bad hotel, high price. Have charged me INR 1508 for a tiny non AC room. No proper amenities. Cockroaches everywhere around the room are also so noisy that I could not even sleep. Below that 3rd grade hotel forget about the 3stars. Staff is adamant.

Pathetic rooms. AC was not working properly. Most of the items were broken. Don't have food service available. They will bring food from outside. The location is good. Near the Hong Kong Market. You will also find good food joints nearby.

Good points: bed capacity, location, access to bidhan market, near by multi cuisine restaurant
Area of improvement: ac seems to ineffective. Need to put 16 degree to get some feel. At midnight rooms became cold, woke up and switch off ac. Then got cold affected. Need to wait for menu card, floor mats.

The hotel and the room were very untidy. Mosquitoes and cockroaches welcome you in the room. You can see dust everywhere. Even the washroom door was so small that I banged my head while entering it. Water was not consumable at all. We could hear the noise of doors closing and opening whole night. The whole place was smelly. It was a horrible experience.wouldn't recommend at all.

Though the hotel location was OK and the staff behavior was also good, but that fall really short when they fail to provide basic facilities to the guests at hotel.
1. Hotel room was very small and clumsy compared to what was project on Goibibo website and App.
2. Toilet was even smaller, where people could hardly manage to get in and use it.
3. There were Cockroaches and Centipedes roaming all around the room, which means no proper pest control being done at hotel.
4. No restaurant facility at hotel.they dont event provide small tea and milk sachets to facilitate guest make tea/coffee in the room.
5. The rooms are stinking due to damp and absolutely no ventilation.
6. TV in the room is useless as, the basic Hindi/Bengali/English channels are not available.they recharge only a standard package form Tatasky, which provided bunch of South Indian channels, which are ok NO use for Bengali/Hindi speaking gusts.

The hotel manager and Bikas (person who seats at reception) were very courteous and of helpful attitude. They upgraded my room to a suit as the super deluxe room that was supposed to be allocated to me was given to another guest.

It seems that the Hotel Owners least bothered and have very less interest in serving any quality to their guests.
To me, this would be my "first" and "last" stay in this hotel. Will recommend all who see my review and feedback here should think twice before booking their stay in this hotel as the "last option".

Well organised room with good servicing. All the staffs are very humble and helpful. Specially, staff @Seema is very kind whenever I have stayed here.

It was the worst stay of my life till now. There was no water in the washrooms for 3-4 hours. Later also, we called them multiple times, then they fixed it. Staff doesn't have any concerns about their guests.
There were small cockroaches on the bed and in washroom.
The water bottles kept were not clean, when asked they said it's fresh. We asked for Bisleri water and waited for so much time, but they didn't provide.
Highly unrecommended.

A cheating hotel. They will charge you for delux room but will provide the worst room. And later say they have 5 types of delux rooms available. Very bad experience please look elsewhere to stay

We booked this hotel on 04/01/2023 at night the hotel was locked after calling many times and standing out of hotel just waiting for the receptionist to attend us. Than after a time a receptionist ask us to seat for 20-25 mins and all this happened at night somewhere 11.40.this hotel is out of my mind because they don't provide water which is kind of complimentary if you go to any hotel in india infact Oyo a dump property also serves water comp than a worst thing to know a group of hotels have restaurant inside but don't have kitchen such a jerk we asked for food etc and also for breakfast the receptionist said we don't have as our management has kept TNC. Than when we entered in room the design was ok ok but here what we say a pathetic and disgusting thing they have insects and cockroaches all around unhygienic place also washroom was worst with leaking water and geyser. We have worked with many hotels and have been staying many placed have never seen something like this and it is a problem because this hotel holds other group of hotels too but really such a waste of money and also pathetic hotels in terms hospitality and management.

My recommendation for this hotel better ask a receptionist before you decide for a room or else after this experience i will suggest better to book a Oyo than this they will give a better service or book any start property but after reading their review
I will never suggest this hotel to anyone worst management they should reinnovate the hotel with atleast a good service staff and a receptionist

The hotel is 100m away from Hongkong market, all staff are professional and well behaved. The response of the staff is very quick and polite. Value for staying here.

Good location. But few rooms are not up to the mark. I appreciate Vikas- manager for his help during my stay.
He addressed my complain positively.
Hotel management should focus on hygiene part. Which is missing.

No ventilation in bathroom in one of the room, not spacious room and curtains has spider web which was cleaned on request. Hotel is at good location but they need to maintain it will.

Staffs are very helpful and behavior also polite, Ms. Seema, Mr. Nihal, Mr. Satkar and Mr Raja they all are very good and polite

Rooms were great. Bedroom was neat and spacious. The restroom had geyser. The other rooms where my friends were staying were also very cosy. Service was apt. They even booked a car for dropping us at the station. The best thing about this hotel is its location. It is just 200m away from the famous Honk Kong Market.

Nice experience. Hongkong market is walking distance from the hotel.

THERE HOTEL MANAGEMENT IS TOO BAD I CANCELLED MY BOOKING 1.5months earliner still no refund processed by them.sujay da the reservation manager is also not geeting my issues done. Any one there who has the higher post than sujay da?

The rooms are dirty and smell like they haven't been used for a long time. The locks don't work properly. They provided normal stored water in the jar. When asked for mineral water I was asked to buy from outside. I could find dead and live cockroaches all over. And as per the room and service the price is very high. You'd rather get a beautiful property and room for the price nearby with good rooms, better service and with mineral water.

Very Disappointed

I had booked this hotel based on its reviews and rating. However, when I reached the place, it was not at all what I had expected. The staff were very nonchalant about their work and did not entertain any requests. The room that I got booked was not clean. It was damp and musty. Mosquitoes were everywhere. There was a foul smell all around the room. The bathroom was in an even more horrible condition. The ventilation was also not proper. When I asked for another room they simply ignored my request and said that they can only give this particular room even though it was apparent that they had other rooms available. I decided not to stay there and leave within the next hour. However, during check out, the receptionist did not even bother to ask me why I was leaving within an hour or for any other feedback on my experience. When I complained to them about being impolite and unprofessional, they told me that they were just not thinking about it and ‘forgot’. They did not apologise nor did they provide any reason or explanation regarding their pathetic service. Since the booking was non-refundable they did not offer any compensation at all. This hotel is run by the most discourteous and uncouth group of people that I have ever met. They do not care for your needs and requests. They do not care to keep their hotel in order. They do not care for your experience. They care only for your money. I implore you not to stay in this place.

All good there. We thought it's a summit property. That's how I booked.
Need some maintenance.
Otherwise it's a superb location.

The hotel service was really good. Room are very nice and comfortable, while the location of hotel was little bit confusing

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in, very bad service, bad behaviour, they don't even give a single water bottle, i request to you guys don't stay here.

One of the worst hotel I have ever been to. They have put in all their money only on lobby area I guess. You will get a good vibe on your first sight at lobby area and then once you get inside, it's a roadside hotel only. For those looking out for a hygienic place to stay in, please never consider this one. Complete waste of money. Wish I could give this hotel a zero star.

Location is nearest to market place but the surroundings of hotel isn't that great. But the rooms are good and service is good too

This property taught me not to believe what we see in photos. All the photos of rooms are taken in wide angle mode which appears to be a big room. The rooms are extremely small, stuffy, even less than 100 sq ft. Only one window is on the common passage, and no way to open it. The bathroom is horrible, with no ventilation. There is no space to even hang the clothes. No handwash, body wash, etc.are provided. No arrangement of mineral water. However, at this rate, other hotels provide all these amenities. It is a self claimed star hotel.

The staffs are very good, and polite.

Geyser did not work for the whole night. Their staff came around 10 in the morning and fixed it 2 min. Clearly indicates they do something to not let the guest use it.

Only location & Room size are good about the hotel. Maintenance is absolutely ZERO, broken lock in bathroom, the floor is damaged, cockroaches are having fun all over the place.

Absolutely PATHETIC.

One of the worst hotels I ever stayed in. Staff and services was good no doubt but infrastructure wise it's a nightmare. Rooms are so small without any windows or proper ventilation that it makes you feel claustrophobic. Bathroom had no exhaust fan or any other ventilation system, so had a distinct foul smell. Despite its polite and professional staff I'll definitely not recommend this to anyone, even if you're staying there for a night as we did.

Staffs are terrific they don't know how to talk to the customers. I don't recommend this hotel even though it's a quality hotel.

The room was so small. Don't go by the pics shown on booking sites. Very disappointed. The missing dustbin was not even delivered ever and I could also see tiny cockroaches roamin in the washroom

Location is pathetic n the maintenance is Zero there, I personally had a terrific experience there n decided never to go there, again!
Only 'room' is good there, nothing else. Foods are super overpriced like 5* but the staying experience is like below 0*!
Think twice before booking.

Nice rooms but they cheated us with food service. They took triple rate for the food. So be careful and properly check their price in the menu before making payment for the food.

Been on a north Sikkim tour and travel agent booked our stay for 2 nights as we wanted to cover local sight seen specially mahananda. One of the most pathetic hotel experience I must say. Rooms are not hygienic and cleaned. Toilet were sticking like we are seating next to a garbage. Whole time we had to spray the room freshers to avoid the smell of fungus. They claimed themself as listed on MakeMyTrip, Goibibo etc but those are certified till 2014 only. Not recommended for family specially with kids.

Bad behavior of the lady receptionist. My bathroom door was broken and I have complained more than 10times to fix the issue but she didn't even bother to inform the maintenance. After that, 3hrs later mr. Mridul another person from management call the maintenance and fixed that issue. Never recommend this hotel for staying in Siliguri.

Worst hotel. Worst worst.they are not providing the amenities which they promised at the time of booking also no staff service, no maintenance almost all rooms AC either stop working or partly damaged.

Very good rooms at low price, staffs are good and co-operative only problem is of parking, location is also very nice.

The problem I faced during my stay in the hotel was the elevator wasn’t working.so if you get your room on 4th floor or want to eat something (the restaurant in on 5th floor) you have to use the stairs which is quite tiring.
This hotel doesn’t have a proper parking area

It was a worst experience for me, the food was very very very bad, Rice was smelling badly, infact they take charges for Rice from us.staff is very unprofessional, infact after having dinner I face stomach infections, vomiting, it was a horrible experience for me, last thing housekeeping oh my God it us dangerous in this property, I cant explain in my words.they need to change their staff I think.

Worst category room. Have to change the room twice at night for the AC issue and so many insect in the bed.

Love this hotel. Ambiance is good. Quality of food is good. Room is clean. Nice to stay. Too short from sevoke road.

Paid for the Deluxe Room but AC did not work for my entire stay.
No water in wash basin for the entire stay.
Paneer was sour (expired) nothing offered instead.
Card machine was not working, pin inserted 3 time with 2 different cards. Then I have told to go out and get the cash.
After all these I have been asked to pay the full for everything.will never visit again.

Mount Embassy Hotel in Siliguri is situated in the centre of the market place in Siliguri. There all lit of hotels nearby this hotel. This is a good hotel and staffs are co- operative.

The hotel is smelly and hygenic. It smells like Indian railway sleeper coaches, worst? Toilets. Damp. Heavy. The bed sheets were dirty and stained. Hotel staff is polite that's why 1 star for them.

Absolutely terrible and dirty excuse of a hotel. Avoid even if you have to live in the streets for a night. They gave us a free upgrade to a family room which now has double the amount of garbage as a regular room and urine drippings in both toilets.

Hotel room is good as per price concern. Room service good. Food good but no sweet dish available in hotel.that's very bad for the person who loves to have it.
Otherwise hotel is very good.

THIS IS NOT A HOTEL, THIS IS A RED LIGHT AREA HOTEL, SMALL ROOM, SMELLY AREA, DIRTY TOILET, AND ALL PHOTO IS FAKE TO SHOW ALL TRAVEL SITE.

Rooms are very good staffs and very cooperative but they did made us sit for half an hour for room cleaning as the previous travelers had a late check out. Food is tasty with a little bit higher price.
