Mount Olive Homestay

Owner and Manageing boy was very calm and sweet in nature.they provide best hospitality.moreover owner is a good Cook also, Manageing boy is a good singer.they were very respectful to everyone.best homestay for enjoying your vacation. Thank you for your kind hospitality.

Pathetic. First they claim they have morning breakfast and then refuse it. No water when we checked in and in the morning (people stuck in the loo) and while we were leaving, they claimed that the water they provided was a favor (i mean what were we paying them for?) The blanket provided was dirty and mats were damp. No one was at the counter the whole time and we had to shout to get them to come out. However, when we were leaving they suddenly had 4-5 attendents come and collect money they didn't deserve. Owner disappeared to siliguri when we called to complain. Harry potter then apparated him to darjeeling when things heated up. Didnt have courage to show up thougg. Ghatiyapa. Pura Darjeeling ghatiya thagi logo se bhara hai. Not worth a visit.

It's obvious you are trying to improve your Google rating by responding to all reviews. To your response, it was a party of 10+ in different rooms so at least get your facts right when lying. You wouldn't provide the promised services and there were no extra people. At least have the decency to accpet your shortcomings as a business owner. Shameful

The homestay was clean and comfy. They did provide hot water but it has time to follow. But sometimes we were not able to follow the time of the greaser. They provided us with a welcome tea as we reached the place. The mall is a bit far from this place you will not get a taxi all the time. We needed to walk everyday when we wanted to visit the place. Overall the homestay is good and recommended.

Had a really good experience here. The staffs are so friendly, the food is fresh, best view from the balcony, the rooms are extremely clean. Would highly recommend this Homestay for visitors.

Ticks all the boxes for a super experience. Comfy clean bed. Mountain view from balcony. Excellent bathroom. The hosts were so friendly and professional. Excellent local advise. So much for such a low price. The 15 minute walk to the centre is pretty flat with lots of eateries and shops en route. Fully recommend you stay here.

The distance from mall is 2kms which is pathetic for a hotel. To reach mall you need to spend 200 bucks each time for taxi which is not available most of the time and the hotel members have their commission in that so the price is sometimes 300-400 bucks. You cannot physically cover the distance by walking, it is too much especially for elderly people and senior members of the family. Not recommended at all.

A room with 4 beds doesn't have basic amenities like a Tv, charging point etc. Most of the charging points don't work. Heater is 500 per night/day which is too much. The food quality is 3rd class, breakfast is 3rd class, the bread was stale probably.

Not recommended at all. I wish i could give a 0 star.

Comfortable rooms, any time hot drinking water available, hotel staff's are very nice. Little long distance from mall market but it was a great experience ️

Recently I stayed there for 3nights. Wonderful place n homely atmosphere n most of all the behavior of Niraj bhai n his wife and staffs. Feel like home.

What one needs most in an unfamiliar city? A few warm hearts, sympathising souls, caring friends who help and guide you as your near and dear ones do! Such people you find in Mount Olive Homestay - the owner, Niraj Ji, his wife and the staff. There are a few minor, manageable inconveniences in the room, but the absolutely humane behaviour of the homestay staff and their efforts to keep the visitors comfortable, well compensate those small inconveniences. The whole homestay bears witness to minds that are devoted to art, culture and cleanliness. You get normal and hot water for drinking all the time. Hot water in the bathroom is given, as per guidelines set by the owner, between 7 and 9 am and also between 7 and 9 pm. But, he himself violates the guidelines and supplies hot water even beyond the set time to make things comfortable for the tourists. Food is hot, tasty and comparatively at lower price. Because of bad weather we couldn't have any view of Kanchenjunga in the first three days. Niraj Ji is so compassionate that in the final morning of our stay, he waked us up to see the Himalayan wonder as that morning, Kanchenjunga, became clearly visible from the balcony of Mount Olive Honmstay. At our arrival and departure, Niraj Ji offered us cups of Darjeeling tea - unforgettable!
Fifteen minutes walk from there brings you to the Pagoda and twenty minutes walk to the Mall Road and Chowrasta.

I stayed there for 4 days and the place is excellent and specially the owners are so polite he treated us like a family.moreover the food tastes like home, I highly recommend the place to stay if u are visiting to darjeeling

The location is amazing it's just a 15 min walk to main areas of Darjeeling and it's on a quiet road that you cant hear the traffic the rooms are so clean and the bed is so soft most importantly the owner neeraj is most humble and kind I can't wait to come back here with my family

Best homestay in Darjeeling!

Clean, super comfortable, and cozy rooms with high-speed internet, television, and Netflix facilities.

The homestay owner, Neeraj Ji, and his family are very kind and helpful. They are always ready to help in almost any situation, be it the way towards the market, the shortcuts, booking cars for sightseeing or literally anything!

They serve fresh and delicious homemade food, which is no less than any 4-star or 5-star restaurant.

Looking forward to visit again:)

Recently I have stayed two nights here in this homestay. It feels like home, the owner himself is like family and so his wife.

Location wise, facilitiy waise very bad place. Behaviour of the owner as well as his wife, scarcity of water, nothing is good there. The day of our leaving the place, there was not a single drop of water was available, not for toilet use. Very very bad experience.

It's an okay homestay with friendly staff. You won't get a scenic view from there. Food is okay, loved the tea

Why mount olive is excellent, to know this you have to visit there and have to meet Mr.neeraj rai and his family. We arrived there as a guest and on return, we were a friend. I will recommend everyone if you visit Darjeeling stay in mount olive.

Great experience to stay here in Mount Olive, the owner is very much gentleman, We stay there for 3 nights and room/ toilet is extremely clean and decorated. And the food they serve us was so fabulous, I will give them 10 points out of 10

Great place. Adequately spacious rooms. Warm water available. Food available by the owners/family of the homestay. Didn't get the opportunity to test the food, but the tea, aunty makes is very delicious and have heard she makes delicious food. Uncle can arrange for anything you might need, like transportation services, etc. Overall great place, you will definitely have a memorable time there.

I am really happy with the behavior of the owner. The cleanliness of the room, guidance. Everything was perfect on the trip. I just had a problem with its location, which is around 1.5 km away from the Chowrasta. Overall I was really perfect. I am highly satisfied with the hospitality.

It is not a hotel, it is home stay.
The condition of the room is good but one can't find any view of kanchanjunga from this home stay.
I get good behavior from management.
But the price of the food (Thali) is too costly.

Rooms are really amazing and the food will remind you of home, during our stay only one guy was there to host us but boy did he do an amazing job at it!

The rooms are spacious, bed n blankets are also good. Hot water is also available. Hospitality is incomparable. Food n tea are superb!
