First review written on: 22/11/2017,05: 55 am The café or rather tea bar is excellent. You will have some pastries also to go with the food. The man running the café is very knowledgeable about tea being a member of the Nathmull family (The Whistling Kettle at Golpark, Kolkata is run by his sister). The staff is very genial. The ambience is great. So is the variety of tea available. You can buy packets of tea for your loved ones from here. The place has a view of the valley and Kanchenjungha also. Hence the name, ‘sunset lounge’. You can have a warm cup of tea with your loved one and fall in love with Darjeeling again. I must say, this place is better than Golden Tips.
The shopkeeper kept speaking abt tea to the previous buyer's so we had to wait patiently even when we were in bit of hurry. Very knowledgeable n good shop for tea lovers.
The owner was very gental, polite, knowledgeable. The shop had many varieties of tea's, and also the price was low compared to other shops. I would like to return to the shop when i visit Darjeeling again.
Nice place for a tea lover who understands tea which isnt me. So they allowed us to taste two types of of tea to help us make a choice. The ambience is nice for a coffee shop and the staff helpful. They also send tea via mail order if you email them back.
The aroma itself can make you fall in love. Although a bit costly but the taste is surely good. If you want to taste the classic then go for the first flush.
Staffs are too friendly & will love to explain all about the varieties of tea & will help you to buy one. The tea lounge section has got great views outside & I think it's a must visit during Darjeeling tour.
I fell in love with this place during my stay in Darjeeling. I went there almost everyday. Their tea is out of this world. I didnt try their food though. Amazing view. Just take a table, order a pot of tea and sit there for a couple of hours with a book, while they play some fantastic old music on the system. If you are alone in the place, they will even take a request (i asked them to play Beatles songs and they complied). This lounge is a must visit.
Wide variety of tea. Nice bakery as well. You buy the world famous tea leaves from here price range from Rs 200 to Rs 24000. The boy there has good knowledge of tea and can tell you all about tea.
This is not just another bar, it's a Teabar with an amazing collection of tea which you can try with some in-house made cookies and then if you want to you can buy'em as well. Located at chowrasta main market easy to find out. I tried one of their tea and believe me it was the best black tea i ever had. Their menu has a wide range of drinks apart from tea like shakes n all. Tea starts from ₹55 and ends up to ₹300 per cup (excluding tax).
Lovely warm hosts, great variety of tea. Tucked away into the lap of Chowrasta, Nathmulls sunset luonge provides a stunning view of the valley below and the mountain range infront. They also provide a wide range of baked goods to choose from.
Thenmust visit tea shop in Darjeeling. It is located just at the Mall. Ask for recommendation the staff and they will happily guide you. Bakery items are quite good.
Tea store with souvenirs and lots of tea related items. Front desk sales person was polite and cooperative. You can buy premium (expensive) tea from here.
