Good place for movie if u dont want to spend much. Inox are the best for sure. But they are at the same time costly. Here youll get ticket price good. Snacks price good. All in all. Good for a person who wants to watch a movie in low budget but nt compromising too much.

This is great place and has a great ambience. Though being an old place they have updated this place. It has AC and recliner seats. It has momo shop, sizzler restaurants, kfc and dominoz in it. There is a bar cafe in the building where every one can have a drink and eat food and chat with their friends. The ambience of there was also very good. It is opened till 11: 00 pm.

We are living in multiplex cinema time but new empire cinema is a vibe of old new both.you can get every vibe from this cinema.to visiting other multiplex places you have to visit single theatre like new empire.

Ok ok cinema hall, still good if u do not want to pay high price for popcorn and coldrinks to watch movies

Downside there is dominos, wow momo, KFC and many more

An old and best one that still exist and carrying the tradition of movie theatre in Kolkata, whereas Globe & lighthouse got vanished. All are same as it was, structure, screen, seats, sound. But it would need to be updated a little bit. I personally liked this place a lot to see newly released english movie.

Hall is good. Nd quality is good.superb value for money. But the staffmans are very rude nd misbehaved! Apart from this all are good!

Iconic cinema, child hood memories attached to it, back in the days, during pre multiplex and mall era, located near Esplanade and Parkstreet iconic location location of the city, the shopping street is buzzing with crowd creating a unique festive atmosphere, throughout the year, be it day or night, the cinema area is still as wonderful as it used to be years back.

Nice hall but there are not seats so called for "couples" actually as basically every seat is separated with divisions like a normal seat.but there is privacy!

Good enough place to spend a few hours during the rains. Getting a parking spot in that area is impossible. The food street between New Empire and Lighthouse is convincing with a myriad of delectable flavors. Great stop for Momos and chai.

One of the few old school movie theatres left in the city. Also has plenty of restaurants and a couple bars inside.

New empire cinema is famous cinema in kolkata hub. This is like rounded gallery seat you can say. Thie sound quality is good after once it repaired. But screen is not good. The ac hall cost little compare to roxy and others. You can find 60s old projector where you can take selfies along with nice photo shoot area. Toilet is clean. You can also avail water and food inside. This hall also consists singing bar. In the ground floor you can find wow momo to kfc. You can also try scoop, good food but costs too much.

New Empire Cinema is a single screen cinema hall located in Humayun Place in New Market, (opposite Shreeram Arcade),  Kolkata,  West Bengal, India. This theatre is next to Lighthouse Cinema. The Cinema in next building Lighthouse was closed in 2002, but As of March 2018, New Empire Cinema is still active. Currently the cinema's capacity is 1000 seats. The theatre management is running few food shops like Domino’s, KFC, Barista which is helping them to gain financial stability

A perfect place to hangout with. If you are a good lover then this place is for you my dear. And most importantly the variety of clothes, jewellery are available in the opposite side commonly known as dharmotola market

Best cinema hall at Esplanade at low cost. Sitting capacity and quality both are good.
But the environment in the halls during movie time is not good enough because of the cackling of others people.

Very good place and specially the staffs, i went there on 1st May and mistakenly i left my mobile at the matinee show the mobile was honestly collected and returned to me by the staff at the plex i really amazed.

Ticket price are cheaper than inox and cinepolish. In terms of cleanliness tha hall is just 1 Star and even the screen isn't clear enough and if you get a seat in the corner just forget that you will be even able to get a view of the screen.

With reasonable price u can watch hindi movies.though ticket blacking is one of the burning issue over there.you need to reach early to get your ticket.from online every seat is not available to book.

Old is gold single screen cinema hall heart of the city movie fun food I'll see lot's of English movie

Just above the KFC, Domino's pizza and owo momo.good location and enjoy able.the movie Kalank was being played.

Whenever I go to watch a movie in a single screen it makes me remember my school days when I use to bunk my school to watch movies. During my school days I use to watch movies in Rs10 to Rs15. I still love to watch movie in single screen where people are not so descent, crowd will whistle on heroes entry. New empire now a days is just not a cinema hall it itself is a food court. KFC, Wow momo, Dominos and another restaurant is there to serve you food. Best part is this KFC had deployed many physically challenged staff to this counter. You will always find huge crowd during weekdays and weekends.

Hall's ac condition is bad. It is too low. Sound quality and screen brightness should develop, little bit. Otherwise the hall is good. I can give it 7 on 10.

As per ticket price it could be more better.delay in starting show.lack of proper management.visual & sound quality could be much better.overall its just ok.

Tickets are cheap ambience is ok, if the movie is a little serious type one may get good audience. Lots of street food giants nearby.

One of the last running single screen theatre of Kolkata, New Empire is really good and simple. Those who want to enjoy movie without thinking much about the price can go for it. Mostly Hindi commercial movies are screened. Show times are generally 12pm, 3pm and 6pm.food joints like kfc and wow momo are available downstairs. It's one of my favourite.
PS try to get the Rs 100 or 120 priced ticket.their seats are much comfortable!

It's one of the most renowned cinema hall in new market, most preferred for Hollywood movies, nicely associated with various food joints, the staffs are quite friendly and corporate in all possible manner

That was really amazing. I went there to watch Avengers: Endgame and the experience about movie and the hall too, was really awesome. There is also a stall inside the hall premises which supply food & water in cheap prices, in comparison to other cinema halls.

Cheap price and good value for money.
Good screening times and quality of picture.
Also the people in it are really humble and honest.

Well, seating is not very comfortable at all. Yeah they tried a lot but they didn't maintain it well. Cockroaches moves to and fro in those seatings. And time to time there's a weird smell can stun you. But they could have been better because they take a lot of money but don't return the service.

New empire cinema hall is located in the middle of the busy city. Being situated in esplanade area gives it one of the prime locations in Kolkata. The cinema hall is famous not only for it's location, but also for its affordablity. It offers primere shows in a much lower range than most highly popular cinema halls.

It's like a Multiplex. Comfortable Chairs. Good Sound system But could be More loud. We were here for URI and felt that sound system could be More loud and clear.

No Such Couple Seats Like Cover Box Like For Couple. In tickets its mentioned but its not like that its normal on as in Bioscope (End Seats Top)

Loved it because i & my boyfriend now my husband visited almost 12 years there.seen almost every movies released there. Our favourite place with reasonable price & comfort.

Low price, big screen and nice sound quality. Have been there for 2 times. To watch Hollywood movie in lower price this is the best option.
