The food is good.nothing overwhelming.however more variety is recommended mostly in dessert section

The expectation was high but it got lowered. Ambience was okay but not good in the buffet as very limited options were there. We had to pay extra for prawns which should be added part of your buffet menu. Also, many items were coated and fried which we did not like. Even there were very few options in main menu or dessert. Overall, you won't like it if you have been BBQs before.

Please go to barbeque nation, don't waste your money. Trust me food is so bad in both taste and quality.

We went for a buffet dinner last night with family. The ambiance is beautiful ocean themed and impressive for the kids. Coming to the food, the variety was excellent. Good service staff, excellent starters and all the food was delicious. Had a great evening at Ocean Grill and would definitely recommend.

Enjoyed a sumptuous Sunday lunch at Ocean Grill. Good oceanic ambiance, excellent spread and good helpful service boys. The buffet is easily one of the best in Sector 5 if quality of food is compared. Highly recommend this place

Went for a small family birthday celebration. The middle part of the restaurant was nicely decorated with balloons. We did not know that they bake such amazing cakes as we ordered last minute. The buffet was really good and all food tasty. Rahul and Ali took very good care of us. Thankyou to the sfaff for making this a wonderful experience with the family.

Ocean Grill kolkata's experience was amazing range of food spread. I will definitely recommend y'all visit this place at least once to fall in love with their food and mesmerising ambience

The buffet menu had a good spread. The stàrters like Chilly potato, chicken wings Moural maach bhaja was very good. The main course had lot of items. Biriyani was not as expected. Desserts were very tasty, but there was no ice cream. Special mention to the staff who were courteous and helpful. The ambience was also good. Overall it was a good experience.

The services was very bad. Also they had two types of meal one was usual and other was special plate, the usual one did not even had prawn. They had 2-3 items of non-veg starter and that too were very less in quantity and served only once.
The desert part was also not good but the main course was quite good.

Sec 5 salt lake the staff are rude.and portion control is so high thats why bbq nation are fully book no choice we ended up there.they are taking the left over customer grom bbq no offence.the starter.the more longer u can eat the more they serve good food thats means you need to be a great eater to eat expensive one in their menu.at the end.the owners are having a food chains group like.jungle safari.flame and grill etc.their food is worst in kolkata

Few days ago I visited this awesome restro. They have a great spread of tasty dishes. The buffet menu is quite good and some item were really good. I personally loved the Creamy fish in Mustard sauce item and the biryani too. The ambience is quite eye catchy nd it gives u ocean vibe. Surely u can visit it once

Last week I went to Ocean Grill for lunch. The ambience is quite good with an oceanic vibe. They serve both ala carte and Buffet. We opted for their non-veg weekly buffet which starts from Rs. 699/- The buffet has a quite good variety of dishes which includes starters like BBQ Chicken Wings, Spicy fried chicken, Stir fried Mouralo in mustard sauce, Cheese balls, Chilli potato. The starters were decent. The main course includes Chicken Changezi, Mutton Biryani which was quite good, the mutton pieces were tender and juicy but I felt they could've used a better quality of meat. Grilled Fish in creamy mustard with Herbed rice was really good. They also had Veg Hakka Noodles, Veg Manchurian, Egg Kosha, Soup, Salad. Coming to the dessert, Firni and Chocolate Mousse were amazing but the gulab jamun and Baked Alaska were bit disappointing. Overall we had a good time the service was great.

In this price the buffet options are good but need to upgrade their taste of food
Starters were tasty (both veg and non veg)
Should have sea food options included as its a sea food place
But obviously add on options are there for sea food which you need to pay extra
Ambience and location is nice and can be enjoyed with family in this ample space

Recently I visited Ocean Grill Restaurant and had their lunch buffet.

For Starters, we had Crispy Chilli Potato, Cheese Ball, Veg Pakora, BBQ Chicken Wings, Chicken Tikka, Croquette, and Stir Fried Mourala. The Chicken Wings was quite good among it.

In Main Course we tried Roasted Vegetables, Roti/Naan, Dal Makhani, Paneer Butter Masala, Chef's Special Pasta, Veg Hakka Noodles, Veg Manchurian, Steamed Rice, Egg Masala, Chicken Changezi, Grilled Fish in Creamy Mustard and Mutton Biryani. The mutton pieces were good in the Biryani.

For dessert, we tried Phirni, Assorted Pastry, Malpua, Baked Alaska, Profite Roles and Caramel Custard. The phirni was good in taste.

The food options in the menu are well organized but the taste needs improvement. If the Sea Foods were also included in the Buffet Menu then it would have been better.

The ambience suits with the name of the restaurant and very innovative.

3. Variety of food is not there. So for buffet, have to adjust with few varieties only.

An amazing place to drop in at. They have a restaurant area and a lounge area and the ambience is based on the sea theme with a shark thing on the wall in the lounge area which I liked alot. Their staffs are very courteous and helpful and the service is excellent. The buffet had a huge variety and I didn't like the fish starter much but the main course was absolutely delicious. Even the chicken, rice and other items in the buffet was good. I liked the chicken wings too. The dessert menu was the best of all. I absolutely loved it. I had a great experience and would highly recommend this place.

Must Go for Buffet, every dish has its own unique flavour.you get complimentary mocktail. Apart from buffet we can add some ad ons @99 (unlimited) each like octopus and squid, prawns and crabs. Must try Herb rice, Mutton Biryani, kabab, fish starter.

Ambience- the place is very beautiful with a great ambiance. It is nicely decorated and the behaviour of the staff is so calm and good.

There is also a pre booked place which you can book previously and enjoy with you whole family or friends group.

All the foods are good.

I went to Ocean Grill with our office group. There are two buffet options - normal buffet and seafood buffet. We chose the normal one. They serve the starters on table - it's consists of fish fingers, cheese balls, chicken tikka, barbecue chicken etc. Except barbeque chicken, others tasted jist okay. The fish fingers are lacking fish fillings. In the main course they have dishes like herb rice, fish, chicken, mutton biriyani etc. The mutton biriyani tasted good, other items are okay except the herb rice which tasted like someone has put eucalyptus oil in your rice. Surprisingly the desert section had several options and all really tasted nice. Hope they put some ice creams too.
To conclude, after been there once, I don't feel to go there any more. They really need to improve the food quality.

Horrific service. Name ocean grill but the lobster was rancid cold and stale. So were the crab, prawn etc. Dont go there

The ambience was amazing, really love the way they orchestrated the decor of seas and oceans into a fabulous buffet restaurant. At this price the options of food is quite sufficient and desert was something I cannot stop talking about, really drooled of the started and desert though I feel there is some room for improvement in the main course.the place was spacious and cozzy with proper artistic phenomenons. ️️️️️

This a very shooting very pleasant place with Great Ambience with great lighting romantic music and wonderful interior. This place serves various tasty items with affordable price, overall a decent place to spend your time. If you are looking for a perfect date night you can consider this place for sure.well behaved staffs, great buffet but desert is only ok

Yesterday I tried the regular Seafood Platter here. Probably the first time I had this disgusting experience of food in Calcutta. It took 944 INR. The crab was just as raw as it was, not even cooked or fried much as it had to be. Plus the rice that I got was not good at all. If the management authority notices this then I would very much like to revisit this place for food if they return me my half of the money. Otherwise would never gonna suggest this place ever again to anybody. Just some waste of money.

We just dined here today. We had a disastrous experience.the starters were cold, tasteless and served at a very long length of time interval.we kept on asking for starters and they made us wait for 30 mins.it seemed to us that they were prior prepared and they were
heating those in microwaves. Complimentary drinks are either thums up or sprite. We ordered the first one only to find it is diluted with water.
Same goes for main course.items were extremely limited, all cold.the only item I found palatable compared to others is the mutton biriyani but again it lacked mutton pieces.
Desert was even more limited than the main course.no ice cream!
Overall bad and waste of money! It is no way worth more than Rs400/ and they are charging Rs 700 per head!

The worst service and worst food. They don't know how to manage guest. In sector V if all other restaurants are pact then only they do business. Don't ever try this place waste of money. Not well behaved at all.

Worst experience ever. Name 'Ocean grill' is nothing but a scam, no fish item and live grill is available. Can you believe, at price of 700, you eat 'mourala machh' (Indian Carplet) as a starter. Other fish is just unavailable. For prawn you have to pay 99 rs extra.only for two pieces of prawn. Main course and desart also a big disaster. Servicing is very poor they just try to avoid you to give food. Just worst. I post a photo of refreshment drink.gives in a vodka type of glass! Can u imagine.just don't go.if something possible that is below worst.that is Ocean grill.total waste of money.in my opinion.not recommended.

One of the worst grill restaurant in Kolkata. Just do not go there as the service is veg bad. Talking about food starters were good. But food and main course got over before even we could take it.

Worst buffet I ever had. I ate here once, my experience was really poor because they doesn't give you all the starter, main course dishes which are listed on the menu. Really cheating on the customers.

The buffet costs 999per head so i went for platter899. The crab tasted unusual not in a good way. I had a good experience in the past so went there to satisfy my sea food cravings but this time not satisfied to that extent.the service was excellent though.

Very poor management. Food quality is average. You will get many better options in this buffet price. We waited for at least more than 20 mints to start the buffet, and every time we had to remind them for the next item. As we opted for the online booking process and the menu were completely different from the online listed menu.

Food is not good. Ambience is ok. Rather than here, it is much better to visit absolute barbeque. This particular Ocean grill is not at all good.

Not satisfied at all. The buffet cost was 850. We were highly disappointed. Neither the starter nor the main course part was good. They insist on there addon pack of 999 so you can get the sea food starter. But I don't think anyhow they could have been better.

My wife and I went to Barbecue Nations for lunch buffet after a long time. However, the wait time was 1.5hrs, so we decided to check in the Ocean's Grill. It was my wife's idea. I was never been to the Ocean's Grill before. I surprisingly had awesome experience!

I was so amazed with the taste of the food that I had to ask the name of the chef. It was Tanmoy (meaning 'Amazed').

Innovative menu card they have wherein you can explore which sea food is according to your zodiac sign. I have mixed review for this place. When I visited first I found it is a great place for sea food and ideal for family or friends group. I tried different starters like grilled pomfret etc. However on my next visit they have mistakenly added an extra dish to our bill which we paid. I called them up after realising this fact on bill and they admitted their mistake. Also they are allowed to organise different events like wine tasting event pairing with their finger licking dishes. Must try ChickenQuiche VegBruschetta Lavash and Stick cracker Meatballs Shammi Kebab Paper fish Seafood pizza Brownie.

Service was good. Food was moderate or more than average.there's nothing wrong with the place or Food.but if i have to spend same money i will prefer AB's.
