Oceana Tourist Complex

Rooms are in pathetic condition. No maintenance for long. There is huge difference in quality between 2016 and 2023. Water drops were dripping in the room the entire night. They changed the room next morning which had spider net, dust all around. The walls are damp and the paints are coming out. The outside area is unkept and dirty.

The food was obviously very good.

The location is super. So near to beach and not crowded at all. You get the feel of a pvt beach.

If the quality of rooms can be improved, I will visit this place again in future

Of you need a secluded peaceful day off with family or friends then Oceana is the best place to be. Especially the beach is too good.

All buildings are single storey. All rooms door have a gap from the floor, lots of insect will be there in the rooms. Not safe for kids.
All curtain of the rooms are dusty. You can even notice the spider net all over the curtain.

*Kitchen staff behavior is good. Everytime I requested them for boil and steam of my utensil for my 11 months old child food, they help me to do that. *

Food is too good.sumptous.rooms are fresh, clean.toilets need to be upgraded.
Tourist complex is good, but coupd have been way better if managed professionally.staff behaviour is very gracious.

Property owned by State fisheries. Away from the hustle bustle and nasty crowd of Digha. Enjoy solitude at its best. The restaurant is awesome. Food is extremely hygienic and tasty. Staffs are extremely helpful. If you are having a small baby with you, you can easily have rice and other food from their restaurant. It's fres, hygienic and easy to digest for the baby

It's really nice place, sea beach is very near to it. Noice free, natur friendly area.

Apr-2022 - Excellent stay for peace loving people. Green spacious campus with park and pond. Room conditions are very good and toilets are clean. Parking available. 2 mins walking from Oceana Beach Udaipur.

Revisited after an year 2023- as usual, nice campus. Food quality very good, fish fry is one of the famous item in their kitchen. Group D staffs are nice & polite. Udaipur beach is not good as Mandarmoni for those who love to dip in water. Talsari beach is too noisy and picnic parties are made it horrible with non-disposable waste. Odisha govt.should necessary steps for this.

Owned and operated by West Bengal Fisheries Development Corporation Ltd, this lodge is a good option to stay if you are around the area.
The resort is located close to Oceana Beach which lies between New Digha Beach and Udaypur Beach.
Located close to the seaside this property boasts of magnificent surroundings comprising of trees, a lake and well maintained gardens to say the least.
Plain and sober from the outside with no show of any flash and glow like the three/five star properties around, "Oceana Tourist Complex" can leave you appropriately spellbound with it's magnificent rooms.
The rooms were large, spacious and with an adequately large bed with clean bed linen and blankets. The air conditioning was good and powerful enough to keep the room comfortable.
Coming to the washroom, it was spick and span with all the necessary toiletries available and running hot and cold water available throughout the day.
This property has an in house restaurant serving superbly tasting meals at affordable prices. The food served was fresh and delicious. No scope of complaints at all on this note.
Room bookings can be done online and the room tariffs don't burn a hole in your pocket. If you do not have any aversion to staying at state owned properties, then this property is worth a try.
The property does need some attention and bit of maintenance. That being said " Oceana Tourist Complex " can be a good weekend destination if you are in pursuit of calm, peace and silence.
A good to go Complex providing good services at affordable prices.

As a token of advice: Do contact the property and convey your requirements of hygiene and food prior to your arrival.

A gripe: The property appears to be dead strict about their check out time which is 9 am and The same can be dealt with some amount of flexibility specially when the properties in and around the area are offering check out times at 11 am.

All that said, Oceana Tourist Complex is undoubtedly a good and worthy option, if you are travelling to Digha.

Nice place to stay. Beach is just 2 mins walk from the hotel. Had a great experience. Food is excellent and cheap too. Car parking is available with driver accomodation too. 2min drive from new Digha adjacent to Bengal hatchery.

Oceana Beach and Oceana Resort both are outstanding for their serenity & tranquility in nature. Excellent huge property & very pleasant stay with delicious food. But better service, decoration, interior design and maintainance must needed.

This is located at about 2kms from New Digha railway station near the Udaypur beach. The property belongs to West Bengal State Fisheries Development Corporation. The complex is spacious with ample garden area and a small lake inside. Rooms are okay with fair amenities. The ambiance is clean and very calm. It's a much better location unlike the hustle and bustle places of Old Digha area. Food is good and tasty. Staffs are courteous. Overall a nice weekend place to enjoy with family and friends.

Huge unorganized govt property.lot of green and very near to oceana beach.but u need ur personal car to reach.public transport communication is not so good. 10 min away from railway station toward orisa.huge open space with children park and natural water body.
Toilets are in moderately poor condition.
Food specially fish items are superb and hygienic.
Staffs are very well behaved and friendly.

Cheap family rooms. Is not much of a show, but is quite comfortable and cozy. The food is good. Could have done with a few more facilities, and a wider Restaurant menu

তাই, কোনোরকম সময় নষ্ট না ক'রৈ, যাওয়া ও আসার ট্রেনের টিকিট এবং উদয়পুরে প: ব: সরকারের (SFDC-র) ওসিয়ানা রিসর্ট বুকিং করে রেখেছিলাম ।
উদয়পুরের বীচ এবং ওসিয়ানা রিসর্ট, এইরকম ছোট ট্যুরের পক্ষে আদর্শ।

Nice place to stay at Udaipur New Digha. The complex run by Fisheries Deptt, Govt.of West Bengal. You can book rooms only through online.

They literally drove us out of our rooms on the day of check out, although we had requested to retain 2 rooms for our group of 16, as we had two octagenarians with us. Though they agreed to do so the previous night, they completely went back on their word, the next day. It was a terrible experience.i would not recommend anyone to visit this place.

If you love a quiet & calm place, may be Oceana is the best place to spend your family holiday in Digha area. It's a govt property so don't expect the modern facilities, still it's the best experience you can have. Room range is 1400 - 1800/-. Food is cheaper and best in class (best part is - kids can also have the same or alike food). They are having / can arrange local sight seeing by auto / toto with reasonable rate. My rate of attraction a semi private beach in 500m distance. This is my 3rd time and recommend to every family.

Very good place to stay near lonely sea beach. Homely food with affordable price. Very good behavior of the staff. Rooms can be upgraded to match with the modern amenities. It is very near to Udaipur sea beach, which is one of the safe beach of Digha for sea bathing.

After exploring almost all the best beaches of Digha we harped on visiting Udaypur, very close to Odisa Border. The facilities are modest & typical public infrastructure. Though maintenance are quite good. Check in is at morning 10 am & check out is at 9: 00 am. On the check out day they will knock many a times to vacate the rooms. Food is good & typical BONG preparations. Beach os in close vicinity & a mere 3 minutes walk. Quite a serene beach & seemingly clean. This is a typical budget accomodation & please don't carry too much of expectations. Being a short trip it quenched by need. Snaps remain for some insights.

I had booked online 1 AC accommodation for me n my wife with room tarif. I had no idea about the room condition n other specific details. But after a long drive to the Resort or hotel, as I paid the GST amount in cash at the office room, house keeping person took me to the room. With my utter disgust I found the room has false ceiling which has big hollows and holes. Behind the holes there is total dark n no idea what is hidden there.may be camera? Or a loophole? As i drew attention to the hotel office fellow he initially had no idea or willingness to do anything. He asked me to rebook another room which means the money i have already paid is going away without return. I had to shout atop of my voice and then he got up from his chair reluctantly and asked the housekeeping n maintenance guy to fix that.
Then coming to the food part. The cook is good in bengali cuisine n we had chingri, mutton, rohu fish n chicken. All were good with traditional taste. We have found the Udaipur beach is way too risky after dark as there is no patrolling n the beach is totally deserted after dark. The streetlights goes off suddenly n then there is pitch dark. Anything can happen to anyone that time. But within the perimeter of Oceana resort you are safe.

Booking process is horrible. Our payment failed but did not receive any response to sent mail for alternative way for payment. Also our booking got automatically canceled but did not receive any cancelation mail.

If you are looking for rest amidst nature, this place is definitely to be. Perfect promotion of eco-tourism by the West Bengal State Fisheries Department at the venue. We were putting up at the deluxe room for two days. The furnishings are not luxurious but clean. You should not expect a five star hotel treatment there but the cleanliness of the place is well appreciated. One thing is a must mention- the warmth of the pantry boys & how effectively they take care. You have to order the meals always in advance at the venue & the preparation of fishes are mouth watering. Price of food very reasonable.

Oceana is a government property. It is a great weekend destination with delicious recipes near to Digha Station as well as Sea beach.

Rooms where we stayed, 9 & 10 were dark and no window. Service not very helpful. Very non professionally managed. Price of rooms were seemed to be on higher side.

Talsari is a very different place and lovely beach for all person they have holidays spend here.

This complex is at Udaipur, which is near new Digha. This is a very calm and quite place. People who wants to enjoy their vacation in a calm place, im the lap of nature, it is a place for them. See is at walking distance. Thw beach is beautiful. There are small shacks on the beach. They offer fresh sea food. Oceana complex has a nice garden. Kids will very much enjoy it. The rooms are great. And thw cost is very reasonable. I will definitely come back ans recommand to friends and family.
