The crab meat soup is a blockbuster.
The vibes are really good, the music is not too loud, you can actually talk to the person sitting next to you which is a plus point.
Must visit place.

Ambience is awesome. Service provide by the staff is mind-blowing. It is always my first preference with Family

Nonveg thali is total waste. Waiters misguided by saying quantity is too less and compelled to take two buffet for two person.

Very very poor for Nonveg thali

Great experienced I have ever. The ambience is so peaceful with your love ones and families. And I'm rating there's food quality is 5 star. One of the royal restaurant for Bengalis, and we are Bengalis, so mutton kosha, dab chingri is our emotion. So, I'm sharing. We wanted to have something spicy so they made a customised dish for us which is made of peas and it was tasty!
When in Kolkata, how can we miss trying the authentic sweets of Bengal and we hogged onto to few of them and they were absolutely delicious!
Overall a good experience!

We went to oh calcutta silver arcade brunch to cdlebrate our Ashtami.though the queue was huge.but there was proper arrangrment and we were served complimentary drink as well.we ordered for aam panna, lime soda and for starter we ordered gondhoraj bhetki.it was really delicious.and for main course we opted for steam rice, bhapa ilish and bhetki patuti.that too was lip smacking and then we had oh calcutta special dab sandesh and nolen gurer ice cream.the food quality and the experience was superb.

Food quality is amazing. Delicious food.good staff behavior.give 4 star just because of the quality of rice.or else i will give 5 star.rice was over cooked & sticky.as a bengali restaurant rice should be perfect.but overall experience is really good.

Very expensive, then they are charging 10%extra for service charge, which is after taking 2.5cgst and 2.5%, agar.
Means they are charging 15% extra.

This place is very good for visiting with families.foods are pricey but worth it. If anyone wants to celebrate a festival in complete bengali way it's the right place.

Not gonna lie it is an expensive restaurant, but I think one of the best Bengali cuisine restaurant in the city. Been there at the time of Dashami, we have to wait around 30mins outside after reaching which is quite normal during durga puja. Their hospitality is great. They arranged stand fans, seating area for waiting people.

I love every single of items is delicious and perfectly cooked. If they are serving food like these in such rush time, they definitely worth every penny.

**Giving one less star because of they give us a 1lit mineral water of rs160 and they added tax on that too!

Oh! Calcutta is my favourite for their amazing hospitality and the delicious yummy food. I have tried their buffet and it's really worthy. Being a food lover, I will prefer it. We were pleased by their amazing hospitality. There were so many food items to try.

Nice place for lunch & dinner, food quality is extremely good, hospitality, ambience, staff behaviour is too good, old vintage feeling with modern accomodation.

2020:

Tried 3 items out of their Ilish festival - Ilish fish finger, Paturi and plain begun diye jhol. One thing common for all - quality of fish was exceptional. You know from taste that it's fresh. Now coming to individual items - personally I liked the Ilish jhol best with just the right mix of everything needed. Paturi was a little too hot for kids and aged, and lacked probably a pinch of salt. Fish fingers were good, but not too special. But all in all, 5 stars just for the quality of fish alone.

Update: Tried one of Posto Narkel Ilish as well. But I think boneless preparation lost some charm in order to make it boneless. Ilish jhol and Paturi tested much better

Update 2021 Sep: Quality of their Hilsa dishes has gone down because fish itself was not good, but prices have gone up. Weekend buffet is good spread wise, but Biriyani rice seems to be of ration shop quality.

The place was awesome before now I guess due to heavy load the management takes a little more time to respond. Regarding food that's an awesome experience. Try malai kebab, dhonepata murgh, luchi and Mutton kosha.

Shared a special day with Oh Calcutta! A favourite joint of Bengali food for many years.

The food quality was too good.starting from the chicken starter, fish fry, bhetki and chingri malaise curry.
Koraishuti r dhoka was OK and the posto was good.

Will request authorities to look into the entrance from the ground floor which has definitely became shabby and.lack lustre since we visited, app 2 years back before COVID.

The ambience was great. The food was good, especially the Chicken salad, fish fry, chilli chicken, mutton kasha. Dessert could have been better though. Overall it was a good experience.

We booked a table for my parents in law a week before. It’s was very smooth process indeed. The caller was very informative and helpful. I also specifically requested if they could arrange a cake, and to my utter delight they arranged a cake. My parents in law thoroughly enjoyed the food. According to them each and every item was mouthwatering. They opted for buffet! The staffs were friendly and attentive!

The place is well located just beside E. M. Bypass and between the BMW and Hyundai car showrooms. The entrance might not give you a feel about what good food is waiting inside. You can book a table for a larger group. The staff are courteous and welcoming. Ambience is good enough, not excellent though. The best part is the food. It was delicious. Almost all the items in the buffet menu were excellent and brought a satisfactory smile on each ones face.

As food is the main part when visiting an restaurant, it was a wonderful experience and would recommend people to go check it out, who loves Bengali food. Cheers!

Five star ambience inside the restaurant however the locality and the building is in shambles. We struggled to reach to restaurant from the underground parking lot as there is no direct lift. The neighbouring pub was creating nuisance by playing loud music. However, inside the restaurant it was very calm and peaceful, mostly families having a good time. Food is authentic bengali, staff is courteous, serving in an hygienic environment. Though the service was little delayed we had a great time.

A very wholesome Restaurant ideal for buffet and also for small gatherings. The service is good and overall ambience is Good

What an experience! We were here for lunch. We tasted dishes we had never seen or heard before. For starter we had 'Besun aam kashundi paturi' (?) ; besun, mango and mustard are ground well and steamed in banana leaf. Very good. Then while other family members had biriyani, I ordered banana florets and coconut pulav! I had never imagined a dish like this. It was simply tasty! For dessert my daughter ordered sondesh; we had heard the name, but tasted it for the first time. Lovely! The waiter suggested I try their speciality ice cream made of palm jaggery! Oh my God! I ordered it a second time and of course all of us profusely thanked our waiter! If you are in Kolkata, don't miss this place.

Place is good if you want to enjoy some of the pure bengali delicacies. Price is on a higher side but taste, quality and hygiene is good.

Although the items taste good but I feel they are overtly priced in terms of the quantity. The staff and their cordiality and hospitality is something to go there again and again.

Authentic Bengali food with taste of home.

However, use of tablets for ordering the food is not automated. Had the impression that the dishes from the tablet would be automatically placed, but orders were taken manually just like ordering from menu card.

I have been coming here occasionally every 3-4 months. In all my visits here, the quality of food has always been consistent. In fact, I will say it has been more or less one of my best culinary experiences in Kolkata.
I only take away 2 stars to point my attention to just two points of criticism I observed in my latest visit on Jan 4,2019:

1. Severe deterioration of the quality of their popular item Daab Chingri. For some reason, when I ordered it in my recent visit, the taste was absolutely bland. No hint of coconut at all even though it came inside a coconut shell. The base tasted like someone sprinkled some cornflour in some tepid water. Usually, this item tastes much better whenever I order it here. Besides this particular item though, all the other orders tasted superb as usual.

2. Not related to the food at all but rather the situation in the restroom. Again, whenever I have come here to wash after a hearty dinner, the restroom proved to be very well maintained. But, this time, it proved to be the opposite. I saw a big cockroach roaming about in front of the basin, which really sort of gives you a sickening stomach after having ingested a heavy meal. Also, the restroom usually looks spotlessly clean and smells of disinfectant. This time, it looked very dirty, not befitting a restroom in such a well renowned restaurant/chain.

I would ask the Oh Calcutta management to take note of these two flaws I observed that would otherwise have made my dinner at their restaurant one of my best experiences ever.
