Decent place to stay at moderate cost. It is quite close to Darjeeling Mall; takes only about a 5-10minutes walk. The rooms are quite well furnished. The washrooms are quite big and good fittings are used. The problem is most of the rooms do not have any view from the room. Only two rooms on the front side have balconies and a view of the front side road. Wifi is available though not fast. The room service is good enough. The food of this hotel is good as well. But still, I will suggest to try foods from different places and not just have hotel’s food. Buy water from the shops outside the hotel as they charge extra money along with MRP. The hotel is on an uphill and you have to climb long stairs to get to the reception. There is no elevators either. So it’s definitely a problem for those with any sorts of pain in their legs or aged persons.
All the rooms are Nice rooms except the back sides, where there is no view. Only the front two rooms across the lawn are with a great view. Many rooms are four bedded but you can book for two. There is no lift facility so you have to climb stairs every time you walk out. The steps are a little steep. The hotel staff are very nice. They will also help with the luggage to carry to the rooms once you reach the hotel. It is close to the Darjeeling Mal. You can walk. Nearest to the Watch Tower. Caventers is also very close by.
As a traveller, it is quite good. I stay here very peak season. Hotels are good for middle class travellers. It's not more cheap but the hotel is cozy. Most important thing, mal is just walking distance. Reception is very helpful and always ready to serve.
I stayed here for 2 nights. The condition of this hotel is pathetic. Stay away from this hotel. The receptionist is very rude, arrogant and a liar. She tries to take money from you by giving different bad site ideas. The rooms are very dirty and have a broken window. The basin in the toilet is broken and cockroaches inside the bed and pillows.
Location is very good as it is a mere 400-500 metre walk from Mall Market. The owner, Mr. Amit Khatri is very polite. He will provide you with the best suggestions for travel during your stay. The food at the Hotel is of very good quality too. And the view from the Hotel is a sight to behold.
