OYO 8565 Hotel Golden Palace Kolkata

Bedsheets and pillow were seem to be used. Out side the bathroom was no doormet. No towel, no morning tea was served. On the whole I repented for booking the hotel.

It's a better place to stay here, all services are good, staff are well maintained and have nice behavior.

Food quality is awesome and clean decent hotel. Though there were wifi issue initially but they promptly resolved within no time. Much appreciated. Thanks for making my vacation enjoyable.

It's the worst hotel In a stay for 2 nights I had to change 4 room's. The property is very poorly maintained. They easily deny there word's. I had booked directly deluxe double bed room with breakfast but this property serves only tea. The worst part is they don't serve coffee.

Very nice spacious room with breakfast table and extra bed. The curtains were lovely. Special Golden Palace body wash was so aromatic. Loved the ambience.

Room is OK OK but shower was not working bed sheet has some strain key card issue was pathetic. More-or-less 3/5.

Me and my wife went to the hotel
1st they charged me high rate and provided me a small room with no fan and ac was not working.after complaining they changed my room and that rooms ac was also not working.
Their service Is very slow.decide what you want to do.

Yesterday I checked out this hotel and I must say that, it is worth of every single penny spend on it. The rooms are very nice with a very attractive ambiance, the staffs are very friendly in the same time very good in their profession. The most important thing was the food; from their own restaurant. The ambiance of the restaurant will give you a very pleasant feel and delicious food will surely fulfill your appetite.

Hotel Golden Palace, is just on the main road,
It is well furnished,
Rooms are clean,
AC is availble,
Geaser is also availble
But room are way smaller,
Service could be better, when i went there
they didn't gave the towel, sanitiser and oyo soap, moturiser etc
Bathroom is also too small,
Even the mug wasn't there,
For Every thing you have to have ask them
They charged me Rs1378 for one day
But rooms in this hotel are expensive, without oyo,

Overall what i felt they, they doesn't give priority for oyo bookings
Staff is well behaving
And think it was a single bed room, for Rs 1378

Very bad customer service. I reached at 10am and check-in time was 11am. I requested to give spare room for getting fresh but the hotel representative refused. It's a basic courtesy whenever the guest is accompanied by any family member specially ladies than at least room to be spared for getting fresh. It's of no use even after paying so much when they are not helping in your trying times

Convenient place to stay mear bada bazaar. The service is good. Good budget to stay within 2300-3000 INR

Nice location. Staff behaviour is very good. Nice hotel to stay inn. Have good interior and breakfast facilities.

Rooms are too small, not even comes with a chair. No proper ventilation, atleast in the room I stayed, couldn't open throw window. Ther restaurant Sufi palace doesn't have much options in vegetarian. Non veg dishes are good though. Staffs are polite and swift. I had stayed twice in hgp. Probably that is the only decent/clean hotel to stay in that locality

গতবছর নভেম্বরে তিন রাত ছিলাম তাদের হোটেলে, অসাধারণ থাকার ব্যবস্থা এবং হোটেল কর্মকর্তাদের আতিথেয়তা। তাদের রিসেপশনে চারটি আলাদা দেশের ঘড়ির বিভিন্ন সময় পাশাপাশি দেওয়ালে ঝুলছে। এই বিষয়টি আমাকে বেশ আনন্দদিয়েছিল।

I booked the hotel based on the ratings at OYO. But this hotel is an annoyance.

It is located at a very busy old kolkata location where there is continuous sound. And this hotel's rooms are not sound proof. So you'll end up with round the clock honking from the traffic on the road. The sound proofing is so bad that you can clearly hear the people taking on the road side.

The kitchen exhaust and power gensets are next to some rooms, which will add to an extra noise.

Book a room for stay iff only you'd like to test your patience

One of the best value for money hotel in kolkata and near to MG Metro station which is very helpful.

Great location, at the center if the city. 20 mintures ride from airport and 15 minute to howrah station. Close to major bazaars of Kolkata and walkin distance from college street. Good rooms, fast checkins, nice and polite staff. Just that there should have been early breakfast facility for people who want to leave at 6, the breakfast starts at 8 which i think is too late for people who travel and stay for work.

I loved my stay here. Rooms are kinda expensive though. I liked the bed it was very comfortable. Room was well furnished and spacious. But the lavatory was quite small. We ordered masala kulcha and pineapple raita. It was good. Never liked the idea that you have to pay for water in a hotel though.

Very bad place for driving car. Police is waiting for catch cars, their is no way to take an alternative way.

Rooms are congested. I had taken a single room and there was hardly any place. They offered complimentary breakfast which they said will be ready by 8. Till 8: 15 also, breakfast was not ready.

Wanted to give 5 star but 4 star is awesome. This hotel is located in M.g Road which is in central kolkata. The Service of Hotel Staffs are awesome. The food is very tasty with great spices. Keep iyt up Guys!

I had a comfortable stay and a 3 star experience at this hotel located in a busy college street of Kolkata. Along with the lodging it has an attached hotel sufi palace which provides local delicacies along with continental food items. The staff are very cooperative. This hotel also provides OYO rooms

খাবার ঠিক ঠাক, কিন্তু এর কর্মচারী রা কেউ বাংলা জানে না। অর্ডার দিতেই 5 মিনিট বোঝাতে হলো। বোঝাতে গেলে ধৈর্যের পরীক্ষা নিয়ে নেবে।

Really it was great experience with the Hotel Golden Place & OYO, The service was excellent & Really the Food was really tremendous & mouthful. I wish to go another time a head.

Just one suggestion, HGP team.do add an exhaust fan or a ventilator in the bathroom.

In one word I could say amazing. Good service provided by the staff. Highly recommended. Everything was good be it breakfast or room.

Will not recommend. I booked my room on oyo and when I want to check in at 1 am they refused me my room and told me that no room was available although having pre-booked and pre paid it. I knew someone staying at the hotel. So asked if I could come over. He agreed and I also agreed to pay charges of 200rs extra as mentioned on internet and hotel reception for double occupancy but the guy on the reception charged me quadruple the amount of rs 800 without a bill and did not provide extra soap or towel or any bathing essentials in the morning. I haven't yet received a refund or response from Oyo or hotel management.
Really disappointed in y'all.

I stayed in one of the classic room which was well furnished but too small n congested. It had a good ambience. The doors didn’t have a latch instead it had a card system to unlock. The rooms did not have water heating kettle or a fridge but their room service was fast and excellent. The staff was also professional and polite enough.

Still a lot of improvement is required. There was a constant smell of Paan, Gutkha and Cigerrette in the room. It must be taken care of. Wash basin was not as per OYO Standard. Room size was very very small.

Very bad experience. Wash basin is not working properly. Water is getting stagnant in wash basin. Dirty washroom. They take almost 1 hr at the time of checking. Staffs are not cooperative.

The hotel is near Rajbhawan and one of the few in the vicinity. The staff is well-behaved. The break-fast buffet was limited but good. Easy availability of public transport and can services right in front of it.

Rooms are like match boxes not convenient for 2 adults at any means. Please change your rating. Appropriate data is not shared. Very in convenient.

Don't believe on the ratings of this hotel they are forcing their coustmer to give good ratings at the time of check out the asked me to open the OYO app and when the the ratings option appear they tryed to hive 5 ratings by thier own somehow I manage to stop them.
This hotel is located in the wrost/cheap area only labor class people live in this area. And the wrost part is that you will not be able to sleep in nights because of sound of the mosque. And also there are manny slaughter house near it if you are a vegetarian then don't chose this location hotels.
If you ask me about the room in which I lived then I will say that it is so small that if someone more than two luggage bags then it is hard to adjust in the room.
Transportation connections is good as Mahatma Gandhi Road metro is 250 meters away, and if you are thinking that this metro is like Delhi metro then it is going to be a jok, but the fair is very low.
And the breakfast was average (puri sabji or chole and boiled egg) nothing special.
I paid 3300 for two nights for that 2×4 room which is funny.
And the front desk man needs to be changed or he should study hospitality, how to treat their coustmers, he was rough with me but after staying for two days I got to know that he was rude and rough with everyone.

The room given to me was not more than 8x5 ft in dimensions. Bath room was 2x5 ft in dimension. No chair to sit. Bedside table too was very small. Oyo is fooling people by showing rack rate of Rs 4000/ plus and then giving discount coupon of Rs 2000/ and one ends up paying Rs 2000/ plus for a hovel like this one. Don't book hotels through OYO, they are cheating public.

THEY GAVE ME A STINKING TINY ROOM WHEN ASKED, THEY SAID THEY WILL CHANGE IT NEXT DAY & TILL CHECK OUT (3 DAYS) THEY NEVER CHANGED THE ROOM. THEY ARE ONLY CONCERNED ABOUT YOUR MONEY AND CARE LEAST ABOUT CUSTOMER SERVICE. NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES!

My personal experience is that hotel conditions and services is very good but I have to pay more 2000/-extra because I booked through OYO rooms. Oyo didn't updated the latest price as the hotel managers told me. Even I have informed the same to oyo customer care but the didn't solved the issue.

Don't stay over here. The service is really bad. The pics make the hotel look fancy and is rated highly but i would recommend you to find some other hotel. To get water in my room i had to wait 45 minutes.

I was there for 2 days with my friends. I feel good to stay here.hottest are very much clean and food quality is also good.

Our room was very congusted and morning breakfast is just nothing. But hotel is clean, staffs r decent and even location is also good good.so price was it was okay to me since, I looked for minimum budget hotel.

A cozy place with amazing service and hospitality. Rooms are average in size but well-maintained. Staffs are well-mannered. Their kitchen serves amazing Halal food. Has a Mosque nearby which is very helpful for Muslims.

Hotel is good with good facilities. Food tastes good too. Rooms for single person booking is way too small.same as dormitory room but with attached bathroom.

Wifi didn't work the first day, was patchy the next day. The location was not very good. The entrance opens to a weird one way where uber cars don't ply so if you are returning to the hotel you have to get down around 100-150 meters away from the hotel and walk there, if you are leaving the hotel then you need to let the guard know your cab number so he can guide the cab to the hotel.
The elevator wasn't working during our second day of stay, due to which my father, who suffers from arthritis, had to get down 6 stories using the stairs. The rooms were very cramped, with the odour of insect spray clearly detectable due to which we had to change the room.

I would have very well given it a one star rating due to the extremely poor infrastructure, if it was not for the polite and courteous staff, who I feel do not deserve such a poor rating.

TL;DR: Terrible place with poor infrastructure, good service. Choose something else in a better location.

The best hotel to stay if you are interested to stay in between Howrah & Sealdah Railway Stations. Away from the station crowd but at the same time has the city hustle & bustle. The place is well connected through a network of public transport as well as taxis. The rooms are very well made & has all the modern amenities including a keyless go in & out through a swipe card. The only down sides of the rooms are that they are very small as per sq feet area & a little more space would have eliminated the claustrophobic feel inside the room. The food served at the restaurant is average in terms if taste & quantity. We ordered Chicken Biriyani after seeing that the restaurant is managed by muslim chefs but to our taste, that didn’t turn out well with our expectations. Overall the stay was wonderful with no complaint at all. The manager was well spoken & the staff were very active & helpful. Keep up the good work! Highly recommended.

Good location, clean rooms, free wifi, all was good but the best thing about the hotel was the interior design and their staff, all were very friendly, co-operative, well manner &well groomed. Hotel also provide free breakfast for their roomies. Serve quality & tasty food. Totally worth for money.

My parents stayed here for two nights here. They were on a sightseeing trip and told that this is the best hotel they have stayed in thier trip. They were delighted by the service, lavish breakfast and excellent response from the management.

Not good choice until you are left with no other option. Book direct they charge heavy, book via apps they will give 8'*8' room for single occupancy. Food quality is good but no ventilation planning.

We went during puja. On arriving at 9.30 pm staff Said that our booking had been cancelled.on contacting Oyo they told that Oyo did not cancelled it.it was dirty ploy of the hotel staff. After huge confrontation with the receiptionnist we compelled to stay in the hotel at extra cost because my parents were with me. During 5 night stay I learned about the only money making policy of the hotel. Every food item was too poor. In the name of complementary breakfast they provided us only bread and banana for five days.staffs needed to learn abc of behavior. Overall experience was horrible.
