One of the old single screen theater non ac hall ticket price is Rs 80/- picture quality not bad but sound system preety old not beated properly kindly chage sound system or repair it
If you compare this with a multiplex, then you should not visit here. Otherwise it is an average movie hall with good transportation available in the surroundings.
It is one of the oldest cinema hall of Kolkata still continues it's shows. But the hall is in a pathetic condition. The sound system, picture quality, comfort, decoration all are out dated and needs to be renovated. It's USP is it's location, which is very nearer to E M Bypass. Beside the Garia to Gariahat 5 no. Bus Route. A small market complex is there and a good restaurant cum bar also.
Saw first film aged 3, promptly slept when film started and woke up after end. It has some rare species of ছারপোকা waiting for unsuspecting backside. Having said that, it reminds me of my lost childhood and fav চপের দোকান oppo to entrance (now closed).
Hall closed. No more entertainment at this hall. It was one of the oldest cinema hall in Kolkata. The glamour and crowd is no more visible. The crowd is now a days for F L shop, but the high price is resisting now a days.
Good place for Para Adda specially if U are from garia nyc place for adda foods and white led lights for light mood adda with frnds and sitting on bikes Cool for Gen XYZ
Good sound quality and picture quality for the price that you're paying which is just 50 rupees, which is almost unimaginable in a place like Kolkata in 2021. The seats are dirty but you should be be worried about it if you're paying 50 rupees for it.
The cinema hall was good and pocket friendly. The staffs are aged but very well behaved. The movie hall is very old fashioned with old chair, seating arrangements and big fan hanging from the ceiling. However the experience of watching movie is excellent here that gives you the feeling of good old days. Highly recommend pocket friendly cinema hall.
Pros - Good low budget movie hall with good quality sound and picture. Cons - Online booking facility is not available and no AC facility at this hall.
Went to Aafter 9, nice place for food and drinks between garia and jadavpur and is just beside Padmashree. Not many alcohol serving restaurants here. Food is good and drinks too. Only Cocktails are very slow to reach the table!
Good cinema hall for those who wants to watch movies in low price, without giving the amount that INOX or PVR charge for a movie.you can watch a Bengali movie in minimum 30-35 rupees and a hindi movie in minimum 40 rupees.you can draw tickets one day early.
Sound quality is not fair for the cinema hall. In the circumstances we can easily avail food and water.there aren't available parking lot, but bus stand is nearby and can easily avail bus or public transport for reaching padmasshree. Bus route to reach Padmashree cinema hall 45,45B, 45A, 218, KB17, Baishnabghata minibus. It is really opposite to the great medical store lifeline
This movie theatre is among the last single-screens surviving in South Kolkata. Ticket price is pretty low. Although this hall requires renovation to survive further to avoid a fate like other halls like Mahua and bunty cinema hall.
3 star not for facilities.the reason behind, in the era of multiplex still running with all new releases with lesser tckt value.act as a light house of this area.
Budget friendly place to see a movie. For me they charged forty seven Rupees for balcony seat which is very cheap. Now coming to the picture and sound quality which is not so great. As per the rate it is ok.but definitely not a place to watch good movies.
This cinema hall is here for more than fifty years and have maintained standard of running the Cinema Hall at the same level without any upgradation. This Hall basically caters to the people living around this area and more towards female gentry. This Hall even today do not have A/C. The sound system have not been upgraded, so it's little difficult to absorb dialogues properly. But the positive aspect of this Hall is selection of movies to be shown, the selection is done with lots of thought process to attract cinemagoers. Tickets cost are comparatively low and hence affordable to all level of gentry.
