Atmosphere of resort is very homely & compatable to the nature. Food quality is very high, behavior of service personel is heart touching.

Location is remote and peaceful. Rooms are great, tent rooms are also available.
On special occasions you get to see the chow dance and I was lucky I did.

The resort is close to Murguma Dam. We visited during winter and the nearby viewpoints looked amazing. The resort is very well maintained. The staff is very good and catered to all our needs. They provided us with racquets, volleyball and football. The food was also amazing and prepared whatever we asked for. It is a must visit.

We came here in 2022.this place is beautiful and price is also moderate.
I will definitely suggest to take mutton at dinner.they cook it so well.

The name Palash Bitan Jungle (Eco) Hut is aptly amidst the red palash surrounded by hills beside the natural reservoir Muruguma Dam. From the sunrise view point Sunrise over the long mountain range is so beautiful. The experience of overnight stay in the tent along with the cortege here is pleasant. Cultural program Chhow and Jhumur dance of Purulia along with barbeque quickens the evening into the night after sunset. After completing dinner, the warmth of the fire combined with the stillness of nature makes it impossible to understand when midnight will come. Presently it is the best place to spend vacation / night with minimum cost near Muruguma Dam than others. All the employees’ behaviour, hospitality & friendly attitude of 'Palash Bitan' carries the message of coming here again and again to enjoy the nature.

Behavior of all staff of this resort is very good & they are helpful. Food quality is better than other surrounding to resort. Sunrise point is vary near to the resort.

Very nice place and excellent food. Quality and quantity is more than enough. Ample place for play outdoor games.

Booking experience was so bad so decided not to consider this hotel. The person on the call was rude and not courteous.
Opted for a different hotel in the same location.
Got a very negetive feedback from a guest who were staying in Palashbitan.
Thank God we did not stay in this property.

Excellent stay at Palah bitan. Good rooms, four people can stay at a room. Washroom is decent, have all basic amenities. Food is excellent. Basic Bengali food but the taste is quite good. Fried fish from the dam is just cherry on the cake. Behaviour of the local staffs are excellent. Location is quite good, just 2-3 mins away from the lake. Overall a decent stay at the lap of the nature.

আমরা পুরুলিয়ার কাছে মুরগুমা গ্রামের পাশে পলাশ বিতান রিসোর্ট এ দু দিন ছিলাম। জায়গাটা খুব সুন্দর। রেসোর্টের ঘর গুলো সুন্দর করার চেষ্টা হয়েছে। এখন আবহাওয়া খুব সুন্দর।স্টাফ দের ব্যবহার খুব সুন্দর। খুব যত্ন করে খাওয়াই। হালকা রান্না ও খুব সুস্বাদু। যদি ও ভ্যারাইটি নেই। তবে আপনাদের খুব ভালো লাগবে।

Great place to stay for a weekend trip. Great food, great location, very nice rooms, they have tent options also. The behaviour of the staff is very nice.altogether I had a great experience.

Place surrounded by hills and a beautiful lake with water fall little Girgiri river, wonderful.
Plash bitan is very good with taste food. 2 days mast.

We four persons from Bolpur went to palas bitan resort and spent two days there and experienced very good natural views, very good service from the staffs all from local community, clean rooms and toilets and clean beds etc.fresh and testy foods, fishes from dam with moderate price make our trip successful.

Location is really good. Good food quality and clean
bathrooms. Clearly a value for money stay.
Recommended for family and group trips for two days.

Basic rooms. But one will not complain as the charges are nominal. There isn't much variety of food. Basic Bengali foods are available.
The staffs are very polite and always eager to help. Pretty good for weekend trip.

Excellent place for outing with family far away from crowded area. I feel lovely experience when staying in tent here, tent available here in all types of sizes. Room heating available in tent.
Food was also very good and testy. They will arrange dance program and bonfire if requested.

Need proper and efficient management to look after the functioning of the resort. Condition of the cottages are very poor, foods are not good, although they are charging high for every thing. Only advantage, nearest to the dam.

Situated at the lap of picturesque nature, This place is simple yet Cozy and soothes the mind and body refreshingly thus providing a rejuvenating experience altogether.

The scenic beauty was nice. The stuffs were very Friendly. The ambience was so nice. The rooms and the tents were clean. The view from the room will definitely make your tour worthy. Really nice experience staying in this property for two days. Warm and courteous behavior of the manager and staffs, good and cheap food, spacious and clean rooms with peaceful ambience. Both tents and rooms are available and both are equally spacious. Tents does have private bathroom, however naturally they are not attached. Would love to visit them again very soon.

P. S- they specially arrange for chicken kebabs upon request at very affordable price. Dont miss it.

The cleanliness and condition of the tent is worse. Tent service are very bad. Most of the rooms are same condition bad to worse. Preparation of food is not upto the mark. Hospitality is worse. Don't have any atmosphere to go with family. They don't tell you check-in and check-out time. We have to wait till 12 pm to check in. It has a vicious nexus with car operators. Be cautious.

Place is in a beautiful location near Murugama Dam view point. Food is good. Staff behaviour is courteous. Stayed in a tent in October 21 at Rs. 2400.00 per day but rain water floods inside the tent which is horrible. They must make cemented base walls or prop pillars base platform to stop inflow of rainwater inside tents and change the tent cloth regularly to stop dripping water. Online payment available on booking but only cash at camp accepted as mobile network problem at such remote areas. About 45 kms from Purulia town via Tamna more and Begun kodor and 180 kms approx from Durgapur via Bankura bye pass road. Housekeeping and upkeep, maintenance is required. But overall a serene environment in nature. Power cut is frequent. Generator available. Please get in touch with manager at murugama before arrival otherwise lunch may not be available on time after a long drive.

পলাশ বিতান ইকো রিসোর্ট হল মুরুগামা বাঁধের কাছে বেশ বড় জায়গা নিয়ে তৈরি একটি রিসোর্ট। এঁদের রুম বেশ বড় কিন্তু ছাদ কংক্রিটের নয় বলে ঘর গরম রীতিমত। একটি কুলার, চার জনের শোবার মতন দুটি বেড, বিছানার বালিশ অস্বাভাবিক তেল চিটে হাকুচ নোংরা আর ওপরে সাদা সেলাই ফাটা ওয়ার জড়ানো অতীব শক্ত মাথার বালিশ (ছবি দেখুন পোস্টে) সিমেন্টের মেঝে, কিয়দংশ পাতলা কার্পেট পাতা আছে। বাথরুম বেশ বড় এবং বেসিন ভিতরের বদলে শোবার ঘরের দেওয়া রয়েছে। কলগুলি প্লাস্টিকের কিন্তু কমোড বেশ পরিষ্কার ও ভাল। গিজার আছে। চারপাশের নিস্তব্ধ পরিবেশ আপনাদের ভাল লাগবে। কর্মচারীদের হার্দিক ব্যাবহার মন টানে। খাবার একদম ঘরের রান্না ও খুবই সুন্দর। বর্তমানে দুটি ভ্যাকসিন এর সার্টিফিকেটের ফটোকপি চাই। রুমের ভাড়া ঋতু অনুযায়ী হেরফের হতে পারে। পরিবার এখানে থাকতে পছন্দ করবে।

Our stay at palash bitan jungle was an excellent break from a daily life.the mesmerising views everywhere were splendid. I really enjoyed my mini vacation. And the best part is the behaviour of the staffs & their service.my mom was asking for tea so many times they have given free of cost. I am looking forward to visiting again.

I have visited that place it is more then the pictures given in the website it is fantabulous place and the resort is very neat and clean they are taking proper precautions in this pandamic situation. The place where you can actually colabe with the nature. Hope to visit the place again and again ️

Excellent location. Walking distance from Muruguma dam. Service was extremely good. Staff there was friendly and nice. Food was amazing. It was homely and delish. Lovely stay it was. Would definitely revisit. In monsoon, the location looked prettier. The pond was full of water, lilies blossoming in it. Greenery everywhere. Surprisingly no mosquitos! They had insect net on windows too!

The rooms are basic though! Expected from such a location! Coolers didn’t help much on a sunny afternoon. But the nights were cooler and didn’t need a cooler at all. Bathrooms were basic too, not fancy, but had all basic amenities like a western toilet, jet spray and geyser. Had consistent electricity supply. Tv was working with a few channels. Honestly didn’t need it.

Overall a very good experience and would definitely recommend.

Great place to stay if you want some time away from the city life, clean and comfortable rooms, basic amenities are provided as well. Enjoyed our stay.

Good Points 1) Room are spacious 2) Bathroom is clear with geysers.
Bad point room service pathetic 1) food qwality below average. We got dinner at 10.45pm after continuously reminder.we ordered roti thali in dinner and they served the sabji of horrible taste (over aged brinjal and banna sabji) repeated for two days.we didnot expect much but these type of service of this resort is unexpected), The plate they are provided for room service is not properly cleaned (full of scratch and black spot) and tea is provided with out proper cups. We Didn't expected much but type of service they are provided are below average. They have no idea about hospitality. So, i personally didnot recommend this resort if you got another one. Bye the way they have cooler it is also good point.

It was a wonderful experience staying here and the staff is quite helpful. I would like to be here everytime I am in Purulia.

This resort is perfect for those who want to spend time in solitude away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Time and busyness here captures the dam and beauty of the mountains.

Awesome place for nature lovers. This is just situated near the Muruguma Dam. There are cottages and tents for people to stay. The climate is generally very hot during the March to June. So it better to come during the winter. They have a restaurant where you can get Non-Veg or Veg Thali. Their thali is really best ever. The tents are also very clean and well-maintained.
