Panskura Bazar is one of the oldest Bazar (market place) of undivided Midnapore district, and have presence from British India.
This place is also called as 'Panskura Purstan Bazar' which means 'Old market of Panskura'.
This place is well connected by NH 6 (Bombay Road) so easy to come down there from Kolkata or Kharagpur, Midnapore. This road is also known as ' Odisha Trunk Road'.
This place is situated almost on the eastern side of river Kangshaboti thus having a very beautiful view.
People from far or near come to this place for their regular trade of things and it was the only market even some 30 years ago too.
The first commercial cultivation of various seasonal flowers was started from this place and those flowers were transported to many destination in India and abroad. So Panskura Bazar was pioneer in commercial cultivation of flowers in eastern India.
The place is also famous for its own special potao snacks.called 'aalur chop' still today.
As this this place is semi urban and still with sweet touch of village life, there has been no charge In it's day to day functioning and still maintaining its old heritage and culture.

Fair market also crowdfull and all various shop available and panskura bus station was not beautiful. Bus stand is very poor. Also have fruits shops. Sunglasses centers are very awesome. Near panskura police station and urgent service. Books stores are very expensive and believe full market. Also have various teaching, coaching center.

Busiest area in Panskura municipality.one find everything of daily needs here.there is few schools in this area. Branches of few banks are in this area.medical shop are also there.sweet meat shop.groceries.utensils every think.
