Pappu Chai Wala

Taste wise its good, but service point of view its not upto the mark. I use to visit the place as its close to my office. Most of the time they mismatch the order, what you have order and what you get is completely different and when you tell them they just add and excuses like we have modify the dish or many excuses are there. Rest the food is good.

Decent place for a khullad chai and snacks. Visit if you are around city centre saltlake. You can have omlette, chai, sandwiches and many more things from their menu.
Suggestion:
Include some healthy snacks.

Behaviour of manager of that outlet was so horrible.
I visited with my friend on 12th nov 2023 and ordered 2 cup of tea and chicken pakoda. They served mustard sauce with chicken pakoda we requested mayonnaise with that they had served mayonnaise in a disposable very small plastic bowl and charged Rs. 38 for that mayonnaise. They had not informed that this very small amount of mayonnaise can cost extra which was no where mentioned in the menu.
In the bill they mentioned add on cheese. We have not ordered any add on cheese how could they modify?
When we asked for rectified proper bill they started misbehaving.
They charged for add on mayonnaise Rs. 38 which i couldn't be able to find in the menu.
I asked them to make me speak to their senior he said "I am the head in kolkata"

Everything is good but the service takes ages to get delivered as they tend to serve those who eat in their cars first. We sat there for more than 15 minutes after ordering the food for which you have to wait for 5 to 10 minutes earlier, but the cars came and got there food within 5 minutes. They just honk and the waiters starts attending them.

It is one of the classiest restaurants serving pure Bengali food. We had chosen the buffet lunch. The spread was elaborate & delicious. The dishes which call for a special mention are prawn cutlet, chicken ghee roast, the prawn malai curry & the mutton. The mutton (chevon to be more specific) particularly was exquisite. The sweets were also excellent. The ambience was good albeit a bit crowded.

Manager Shantanu of Pappu Chaiwala Sarad Bose Road is very Good, his behaviour and choice of food is very good. Overall nice place for spending time.

They don't care about their customer worst service only people sitting in car will get service rest they don't even listen

Though chaiwala written on the name. The chai is never ready. Have to wait long.really long. Not happy with the service

My favourite place is Salt Lake. Favourite place and chai is the best combination. A very calm and happening place in Salt Lake. Very near to the City Center 1. You may like the ambience, and the retro style seating. The traditional decor is to be looked at. Maggi is a must try item. Attractive combos available.

Road side shop. People don't care to clean it's surroundings at all. Didn't liked it, felt like overpriced.

Sulemani chai is a must try option. Good time on road side chai time.
People may try some other option too.
Its has a good space beside the stall to park for a while and have a tea time with friends.
They serve at your car parked beside their stall, which is also a good and easy way to have tea and snacks.
Service time could be bit fast.

Pappu Chaiwala is the best place I have ever been. The menu is amazing out here and so delicious. I recommend everyone to visit the place atleast once. I have brought my friends out here and they are amazed by the food quality and varieties.

Had the worst experience. Their service is deteriorating ever since lock down but it seems like they don't need business and don't know how to treat customer. Every time I go, their waiters don't bother taking the order and have to call them several times but this time it was the height.
The waiter took the order but not a single item was delivered to us. We waited for half an hour and followed up several times with the waiter but he just keep telling us that he has given the instructions in kitchen, and he can't do more than that! When I told him that cancel it if you cant even bring single item of our order in these 30 min, not even a tea then he started showing attitude. Is this how you treat customer? Is it my work to go in kitchen and follow up with them as well then why have you keep your waiters for? And the thing is that there was no rush at the restaurant and still such poor service. I will never recommend anyone to prefer pappu chai after this incident.

Pathetic service, Keeps gossiping not bothered about customer.kept waiting for long. Apart from it food is good. But staff are not upto the mark.

Nice place! Probably if you like lemon honey tea. The “jhalmuri” has a totally different flavour. And it tastes delicious

They kept me waiting for more than an hour for something as simple as a bun maska. Extremely poor service and would never return to this outlet! No apology and they surely have no respect for somebody else’s time

I really love this Place. It's a good place to hang out and is pocket friendly. But their "Shake" items are not upto the mark. Overall it's a good place.

Pappu Chaiwala is an amazing place. The taste is incredible, and everything about it is delicious! We absolutely love the food. You must go visit there.
