Major resort in Mukutmanipur. Very near to the water body. Food is great. Not much of amenities for tourists.

Although rooms were big and good, basic facilities were refused. Inspite of charging around 7500 for each room per night, they refused to give electric kettles in all the rooms. We had booked 7 rooms. Only one room had bed tea facilities the rest did not. And this was not mentioned earlier that the facilities would be different in the rooms. No dental kits or liquid hand wash was provided. Only after multiple requests did they provide towels on The washroom. The management and maintenance was absolutely substandard and the behavior of the office staff was very unpleasant. The restaurant staff and helpers were only cooperative. Very poor hospitality.

I don't know how some people are giving anything more than two for this resort. I don't think they have been to a nice hotel before, extremely low expectations or probably they are rigged. Extremely poor considering the price they charge. Not at all upto the mark. Poorly maintained furnitures. Extremely poor quality bed mattress (even worse than some of the average hotels we have been to, before). Not at all worth your money and stay. There are other options at a much lower rates. One of the washroom in one of the cottages we booked even had a big opening with no exhaust on it, badly affecting the privacy for their owners.
Very disappointed! I feel the rooms are not worth anything above 2k per night even during the peak seasons!

Update: asked for hot water. Received filthy dirty water in the flask. Horrifying. I have attached the picture.

Grounds and garden well maintained. Rooms are OK, clean, spacious with AC. Some rooms are wheel chair friendly. Staff well behaved. Food is OK. Place to enjoy tranquility by the lake side. An antique Dokra shop inside is also worth a visit.

The resort is nice but the staff service is not that good and they have a very laid back attitude, as if they are working in a government office and doing a service to us. My mom got a little sick and so we had to leave early morning so I asked the manger to get our bill ready so that we could check out but their only response was that it’s too early and there is no one in the reception. I had to literally shout at them and say them that either they take the money or else I’ll leave in 5 mins without paying coz it was an emergency, and that is when they woke up and got the bill. I believe the overall experience would have been good if there hospitality was good.

Very Nice place to stay with your family for 2-3 days. Peerless Resort Mukutmanipur is the best option to choose in this area. Food quality is excellent, specially Deshi Murgir Jhol and Local Rohu Fish curry. It is the local delicacies of the place. The Resort is on the Lap of the Dam and Kangshabati River. It one say the journey is best with your family.

It was wonderful staying here. Rooms were fine, campus was well maintained, food was overall good, choice could have been more.

The ambience of the place makes it great. The serenity, the cool breeze from the waterboy, the old world charm, the place remains the same in last 25+ years!
Staff behaviour and alertness make the overall service very pleasant. Food is nothing fancy, but won't let you down. Markets are quite far off, making the choice restricted!
There are a lot of things 'missing', like a swimming pool, a basin for handwashing in the dining hall (a minimum requirement, especially now with all emphasis on hand-hygiene), a games/activity room, to name a few.
Maintenance of the garden and some buildings is thoroughly neglected, though the 'nature' takes care of the awesome landscape!

As per price rooms and services are not upto mark. Resort not well maintained. Food price is too much high and food quality is just average.

Room ambience was very good, but outside maintenance is not upto the standard of Peerless group. From our lake view room. We could not see the lake because of overgrown shrubbery. Staff were very polite and friendly. Special mention for Tapan Babu, who took every care of our comfort. Food choices were very limited, needs improvement.

I was there on yesterday for a day. It was nice experience, good food, all staff behaviour was good. All total hospitality was so outstanding.we are Highly satisfiy. Specially thanx to mr.chinmoy service boy and subhrajit for their special care and all. THAnK YOU

Very nice for weekend stay at Mukutmanipur. A quiet place in the lap of nature near Mukutmanipur dam. Also the cooking is very good and services are also great.

Can't even begin to describe how awful my experience was. I read some poor reviews before coming but didn't pay heed to it and suffered. I paid around 5500 for the room looking at images online but when I reached here I found the rooms resembling a low grade lodge. All furnitures looked dated, like some 20 years old. There was no toiletry kit or complementary bottle of water. When asked receptionist said they provide only if needed. Quality of the food was even worse. Rice felt like it was sourced from Ration shop and all items tasted awful. The price of food was exorbitant. Water at Rs 60, Mutton Kasha @ Rs 615 and Shahi Paneer @ Rs 560. Amenities received were grossly inadequate compared to price charged. Totally not recommended.

Zero maintenance property. Very expensive food. Average rooms but expensive. Cheap quality service. They charge you like 4 star property, but sevices and facilities are one star.if You have stayed at good properties earlier, you will surely be disappointed. For exta bed they have folding khatiya which staff comes and sets in your room. No kits and toiletries in bathroom. All around you will find makra ka jaala. Staff are good. Complimentary breakfast choice is very very limited. Disappointed.

Great pictutesque resort besides the lake. Have a sprawling campus. Bengali food is tasty. The best rooms are the Premier Lake View rooms

Peerless Resort Mukutmonipur is a nice and well maintained property. Dam facing rooms are available with a nice view. There is an activity room and a children's play area though the latter is poorly maintained with only a couple of swings and a slip in working condition. Room rents are a bit on the higher side but the service is good. Rooms and toilets are clean and laundry and bed linen are also clean. Food prices are a bit on the higher side for a lot of items on the menu but the quality of food is good. We had ordered combo bengali meals for lunch and chinese for dinner and they were quite good though the quality of fish served was not upto the mark. There is a small counter selling local dokra handicrafts which is quite interesting. The counter is managed by a very well mannered gentleman and the prices too are quite reasonable. Ample parking space is available and the compound is secured by boundary wall and multiple security personnel. The river bank is just behind the property even though one has to walk for a couple of minutes to reach it as it is not accessible directly from the backside of the resort and one has to walk around it. The river bank is beautiful but dirty with bottles and packets lettered everywhere. Local boats are available for boating at rates that can be quite cheap on bargaining. One can enjoy a breathtakingly beautiful sunset if one takes a boat down the river in time for the sunset. Overall the experience of staying at Peerless Resort Mukutmonipur was quite plesant.

Peerless Resort is one of the oldest resorts of Mukutmanipur yet so maintained till date. The staff members are very polite and homely and the property is beautiful with a view of the dam. The cottages are also very cozy and pretty.

Nice Place to Stay. Wonderful Experience, Food is excellent, The behavior of the Staff are so good They ware always prompt at our service. Specially mention Bibek Babu, Soumen, Chinmay and Archana di.

Excellent view from the room, staffs behaviours is polite and they're always ready to serve us specially Mr. Subhrajit Neogi is very helpful person. He was very caring, he took very good care of us. His behaviour was too good. I'll visit again and it's highly recommend.

Disgusting. Food quality and service horrible. Tarrif is of five star hotel but quality is below standard. All guests were complaining about it. Not recommended.

Hate this hotel. One of the biggest shock I had here is a mandatory gala party entry fees of 1500 inr per person, not even per room. What a shocking experience. How can such a strong brand can do such absurd demand? Does peerless group of industries knows this?

The rooms were pathetic. The entrance was utterly dirty, the beds were old, the bedspreads were old and discolored, the window was permanently blocked, curtains were dirty and ultimate poor grade. I believe this room would be better to be classified as low budget rooms worth 500/.
Also note: my driver accomodation was charged 999/ but he was put in a messy unhygienic dormitory and was denied drinking water!
Kindly do not fall trap by trusting the rosy pictures given in make my trip or other apps. I had booked for two days, but seeing such unhygienic, ill maintained and shabby room I had cut my trip to one night!

Very nice resort situated on the lap of nature. 15 minutes drive from khatra. 1 hour drive from Bankura. Rooms are good, sanitized. Well behaved staff and management. Restaurant is very good. A bit pricy but worth. Advance reservation is advisable for visiting here from Mid November to January end due to heavy tourist visit. Picnic, sightseeing, tribal dance, boating can also be arranged on prior request. Overall good stay at mukutmanipur.

Food quality is worst, normal fish served, in place of Pabda fish.however there are same price. Cabbage served in price of 499+gst buffet. Never ever recommend this resort. Chicken is not testy.

Very poor maintenance, minimum amenities, food is horrible. No idea why they are charging 4.5 k for such rooms.

Although food quality is best, but you will get a 20 rupees mineral water at the cost of 50 + GST.

For a brand name that is so prestigious it was an utter disappointment. The bedsheet was stained, the pillow shams were stained, the duvet cover was stained, the shower curtain was stained and the ceiling fan was covered in dust. The tap water was muddy throughout our stay. We had booked 8 rooms for our group and while providing keys the staff was in absolute chaos - they couldn't find keys to some of the rooms in the beginning. Almost after 3 hours of check-in the 8th room was finalized. Some of the rooms which were provided had bugs, one of them had a broken bed frame. The food was somewhat okay but there too there was a row since they promised and charged for Desi Chicken Fritters but provided general Poultry Chicken Fritters. Later on they admitted that they did not serve as promised. The campus overall is quite nice to look at but lacks maintenance (although you will find gardening being done through the day). The intercom didn't work for us in any of the 8 rooms and we had to reach out to the staff on mobile phones. I didn't switch on the television but heard from one of the fellow travellers that there aren't proper tv channels to watch either. The place also looked understaffed in the Cafeteria and we had to go looking for the staff to ask for cutlery. Overall, I wouldn't go back to this resort and wouldn't recommend either.

It was very unfortunate we booked peerless group hotel at Mukutmonipur. I am very much surprised the quality of room, it was too bad to stay there. Not minimum customer service provided even we call them. They misguided us about food, like they provided normal chiken with replace off deshi murgi, but charge for deshi murgi. One off our room was full of insects.
I request peerless management please don’t cheat with customers, they need good hospitality against charges.

Its a good place for family who lives in areas where parks and greenery is scarce,
About the resort.
1) You should really select your room options cuz, many are with a view but a lot without any view. We got a room with a bad room view.
2) There is nothing absolutely nothing in the immediate vicinity to buy and everything closes down by 7-7: 30 pm so if you need smokes, snacks, booz etc come prepared.
3) Food is not good. Like not at all
4) Donot come here in summer or rainy season its humid.
5) Now outside the resort, we got a boat all reserved for us in INR 2000 we can go to see deer in park they will charge 250 for ride to the park which is 2 kms from the bank. There you can pay local kids 20-50 rs to see deers that was awsm. And then you can ride for 2-4 hours go to islands and a shiv temple.

So that about it. I will suggest stay at Durgapur go for a day if yoy have a car enjoy boat ride and come back. However you can stay at the resort in winters. But for summers its not worth the price at all.

Totally overpriced hotel in mukutmanipur.
Very minimum services available.
Water quality is not good at all in washroom.
No Clean towels, no extra bed sheets.
Food is average with maximum price.
Dam view is not good enough.
A/C room rent Rs. 4000 + GST which is too much for such rooms.
Rooms are double occupancy, but after charging us with the above price, resort team is saying. It's triple occupancy.
Buffet price with mutton & fish is Rs. 500 whereas 2 boiled eggs is Rs. 100,1litre mineral water is Rs. 53.
It was a horrible experience for 2 consecutive days with insects in the rooms & beds, frequent power cuts.

Peerless resort is a fantastic place to spend a weekend with your families and friends. Their food quality very nice and tasty. Their service is quite friendly and the atmosphere is very good. The manager Mr. Mainak Adhikary is a very cooperative and helpful person. We are egarly waiting to visit there again.

Excessive high priced in comparison to the amenities, maintenance and quality of the resort. Too bad food.

Considering that this is the only high starred resort in Mukutmanipur and the base price for their rooms start at 4,500/-, it is sad to see how rundown the place is. They provided us with the dirtiest of towels (which upon calling room service they replaced) and the bed linens were merely straightened after the previous occupants left the room, about 10 minutes before we entered. The food they serve is also very basic. Even simple dishes such as daal and aloo bhaja were tasteless. We had ordered fried rice and chilly chicken for our dinner, which we could finish because the chicken was hard and the gravy tasted like water. Being a remote area, there is not much to do after sundown, which is why tv becomes the only source of entertainment, but none of the channels you'd want to watch are subscribed to at the place. Upon calling the reception and asking for a sports channel, they very rudely rejected our request. They do not provide internet or wifi services and the place doesn't have good network.

Perfect location.overlooking the dam. Some lake view rooms available. Basic standard size rooms with simple washroom. Cleanliness is okay. Tea/coffee maker or toiletries not available. Restaurant and food okay. Very small bar in the restaurant. Simple complementary breakfast. Friendly staff. Service good. No swimming pool nor any other activities. Packaged water / soft drinks is overpriced. Value for money on booking through Travel Sites for couple only but extra person charges is very high if booked through Sites.

Set at the shore of lovely water and scenic beauty. This place is well connected with good roads. The dam is something that you don't want to miss. Gorgeous view of vast blue scape. You can enjoy boat rides as well.
For shopping lovers. They have terakota work show pieces.
This resort has beautiful rooms facing the waters, and rooms for garden view as well.
Food is fabulous. And servive is very prompt.
Some must try from the menu are. Paturi (fish steamed with sorse. Wrapped with banana leaf). Mutton, Rahu fish curry.
If you are coming in winters dont forget to try gur rossogolla, these will literally melt in your mouth.
Tandoor items are also delicious.

Basically this place has everything that you need to make your holiday worth. There's peace, good food, awesome climate, beautiful scenery. You are located close to the market without the noise.
You can enjoy this place with your family friends, large group of friends or even with your extended family. They have good dormetry facilities for bigger groups.

Not worth the amount they charge. The site is good but the rate charge as per the location and quality not worth.rooms are small, no complimentary breakfast.

The tourists who stay there are all thieves and burglars and the hotel doesn't take actions against these matters. The CCTV s are of no use absolutely. So please keep all valuable items under your supervision otherwise you will face the same horrific experience as ours.

The location of the resort is excellent and that is the key point of this resort. It is exactly beside the waterside. Better to choose the lake view room.
New rooms are better but high priced. Existing rooms are overpriced because it has no electric kettle and needs some maintenance work. The sofa is not clean.

We chose garden view rooms, ended up getting room with back side of kitchen. Beds were comfortable.huge area. It can be called Bagan bari and not a resort as such since the garden area needs maintenance. Frogs were inside room and service was not up to the mark. Not much dinner options, menu

This is probably the best place to stay in Mukutmanipur. It is a little isolated and overlooking the water body. The rooms are nice and spacious. The overall resort is good. The hospitality can be improved. These kind of resorts must have much more professionalism in terms of service I believe. If you want to spend a peaceful weekend and don't want to go out then this is your place. There are no nearby shops or market place within a radius of 2-3 k.m. Approximately.

Overall a great place to rejuvenate yourself, away from the busy city life. The lake view resort are the best to live in with a great view of the near by lake of the dam.service is also great and food is also delecious.
Please dont try chinese food here, only Indian is good.

The food quality is not good. And the price is excessive and unnecessary. Fish thali is 250/- Rs. And the breakfast thali is also 250/- Rs. (4bread, butter) is this joke?
And there's chicken gravy is hilarious. I don't know what kind of chicken gravy was that? There is no flavour of chicken in the chicken. Chicken into the fish gravy type of taste. And one tawa roti costs 35/- Rs? No bright lights in the rooms. Bathroom is poor and room lock also poor.

Room: room is clean, bathroom is not so good. There is no TV channels in the t.v. And no WiFi connection.
Food: good quality is poor. And the price is exssesive and unnecessary. Taste so poor.

Lovely place. Nice and clean rooms. We'll maintained lawn. Hearty service though a little slow. Options at breakfast can be improved. All in all, a nice weekend getaway.

The resort is nice place to stay but you must be aware of the following.
The place is very isolated, nothing outside the boundary so for small things like a bottle of water you have to buy from the resort at 50/. If you want to have a fixed thali for lunch /dinner you will get the same food day after day. If you want to go around the barrage in the resort 's SUV they will change 800+18%GST for a 12km round trip. Same for pick up and drop from Bankura Station around 2000/ each way.

Don’t go as per pictures posted, very ordinary property, very poor service and food quality and most important #Never_leave_your_valuable_acessories in room When go out side.handed over room key during my last visit for cleaning when I was going out for sight seen and my wrist watch was missing when we returned and no accountability despite of multiple escalation and reminders to reception. It was life lesson for me but never had such bitter experience and renowned properly like this.

We had gone for lunch at peerless resort mukutmanipur. I was horrified to see the bad state of their washroom.the ladies one didnt even have a latch or any soap. The food was also like that of a roadside joint. I wouldn't recommend it for anyone.
