I will recommend everyone to visit this homestay first of all owner is very good and humble person and food and room quality are also very good.

This is the best Homestay in Kolakham, the location is superb, food is great, host is very nice and rooms are cozy. A great place to stay for the weekend.

If you wanna have the feel of living in a tree house and having dinner in a boat house amidst the hills, it's the best place. Such sweet rooms and the place is very peaceful. The fooding was just like mom's made. The host is very cooperative and kind.

The view was great with good food. Just stand on the balcony and enjoy the mountains. The valley is well seen from the rooms also.

This is a beautiful place in the midst of forest with beautiful rooms. The food is great, and thay have very beautiful interior. You can visit chhangey falls from there.

A moderate place to stay in Neora Valley Forest. The rooms are good and people are very nice. At nightfall it's cold which is actually a great feeling. But as it is a forest area it's better to reach there by daylight. At morning one can see the Kanchezonga peaks far away and the weather is very pleasant.

It was a horrible experience. Travelled on 1st week of October through agent. We had bookings of 2 days. On arrival we saw lots of tourist, and zero maintainance and absolutely dirty bed linens provided. Immediately complained and for cleaning bt nobody was there to serve. Only 2 boys appointed for the kitchen. No one to listen to customers issue. No authority at all. On repeated knocks to change the bedsheets they provided another unwashed and foul smelling bedsheet. Somehow managed to stay there for the night with utter disgust and left the most morning despite having paid for another day already. No one to complaint. I wish your early recovery.

We booked a family room at a higher price since the standard room was unavailable. However, on reaching there, we were shown to a standard room only. On asking for family room, they told us that family rooms are unavailable. On demanding to pay us back the difference or adjust it somewhere in the meals, they refused to do so and started making lies. The management seemed unbothered and since we had already paid the money beforehand and due to lack of much hotels in Kolakham we stayed there. Left the next immediate day.
Otherwise, the view from the place was nice.

One of the finest resorts I have stayed in recent times. Everything about this resort, starting from it's location to the rooms.it's an all perfect resort! A night or two stay is a must in this resort and enjoy the beauty of Kolakham.

The best home stay.best food.the number one. Avijit & biru.is rocking. Khayeri is a local dog.if you give him a pack of biscuit. He will gide you to take walk around of the property. During this walk arroung you almost climb to the top of the hill.just follow the dog he is the best gide of pinewood resorte

A beautiful property situated at a beautiful place in the lap of nature. Hotel is totally a wooden structure with a very simple but nice designs.rooms are quite nice and cozy. Deluxe rooms where I stayed with my friend was just awesome.it had a superb view of kanchenjunga and nearby mountains.food was just fantastic (depending upon the location). Staffs are very polite and humble always ready to help! Great place for a small relaxed vacation away from the hustle and bustle of the town. One of the best stays at kolakham. Beautiful rooms, excellent hotel, nice bejaviour, rooms are very very beautiful and clean with clean washrooms. Everything is perfect. Being in a remote area the hotel is just superb amazing!

Not great staying for us. Room is so congested and low lights makes it deems all the time. The upper duplex is so small you can't even stand and there also no lights. Food is ok and the behavior is not very friendly.

If you are looking for budget homestay in Kolakham then this is might be the perfect place. A complete break from busy life to enjoy the nature's beauty and calmness. But the con is that you need to climb up few stairs which might be difficult for elderly people and cleanliness is not up to the mark. Food served is just OK types considering the remoteness of the area.

We stayed here in a three-bedroom. Which is nice, the duplex rooms are also very well decorated, full wooden rooms. Foods are also good & tasty.

Food is average you can't expect more than this. But room is below average. Not wel lighted. Upper duplex is so small you can't even stand and there is no light's. Overall totally disappointed. You guys try Neora vally jungle camp for quality stay

First of all, it is not a resort, it a home stay maintained by Yes Homes homestay group. Food and stay overall are average.

Very beautiful home stay at Kolakham. 4-5Hrs Journey from New Jalpaiguri Station. You can enjoy a beautiful view of the hills covered with mist. You have to check cautiously when approaching Kolakham because the Home Stay is elevated on hill step. So you have to climb almost 100 stairs to reach the here from the main road. You have to notice the Black Board written "Pinewood Resort" at the starting of the stair case when passing by. Otherwise you will miss it. Pre booking is done. Wooden rooms are very good to enjoy your vacation. Toilets are clean. Water geyser and western style latrines are available. You can enjoy a beautiful view from the Dining Hall. Morning Tea is served at your doorstep so you don't have to get out and order for a cup of tea. Breakfast are available as per orderd like Poori Aloo Subzi, Aloo ka Partha Maagi. Lunch and Dinner are also available as per ordered like Rice, Dal, Roti, Subzi, Egg, Chicken etc. Kolakham is near Lava, be very careful, Leech Insect will be on ground, it will climb up through your lower part of the clothes and sucks blood without your knowledge. So must take Table Salt in your bag when you will visit Kolakham, Lava or Lolegaon areas because these areas are full of Leeches.

Locationally very good. Very less staffs The young boys have a very good behaviour but veeru the kitchen guy has a rough conduct. Cooking is really good and the owner Gangerai is a nice man, very softspoken. The rooms were very spacious each one having two king sized beds. Though there was a problem in the electricity supply there. We stayed there on 4th November 2019. The scenic beauty of Kanchanjangha from Kolakham is really mesmorizing.

Excellent place to spend time in the lap of nature. Very nice rooms, each one different from the other. Excellent food, good atmosphere, staff is very cooperative specially Viru and the owner of the resort are lovely people. I have been here 3 times in this resort. This place is for those who want to hear the silence of the mother nature. Beautiful flowers all around, cardamom fields, waterfalls, clouds floating by.u can feel it. On a perfect day you can have a breathtaking view of Kanchanjunga mountain range.just luv this place. Also this place is a birds paradise.

I visited with my family at the beginning of May 2019. We spent an awesome weekend there. Yes Homes Pinewood Resort stands different from all other Homestays of Kolakham.it is surrounded by cardamom plantations at the rear And has direct Kanchenjunga view from the rooms at the front.
Moreover I tried checking out few other properties in Kolakham but all are on the roadside which makes it very noisy when vehicles passes and the privacy is disturbed.

Moreover none of the Homestays has such a large and beautiful lawn. We played badminton there.

Food was okay and we cannot expect more at such a remote location. Overall completely satisfied.

I recommend if you visit Kolakham, it has to be in Yes Homes Pinewood Resort or else you have to revisit to stay at this beautiful property amongst the clouds.

Want to spend some days away from the hustle and bustle of any city OR any common tourist spot?
Then stay here.
Its not a mainstream place that doesn't attract too many tourists. This place has about 20 homestays around. So live peacefully.
No shops around, so be prepared to eat whatever the hotel provides. However, they have an attractive rate of Rs500 per day that covers Breakfast and Tea, Lunch, Evening Snacks and Tea, Dinner. (includes chicken) They cook food with their own organic veggies that they grow there. It tastes beautiful and different from traditional food.
You'll enjoy it.

A word of caution: If you want to drink, bring alcohols from the Siliguri town along with you, you won't find mainstream brands around, some guys keep, but charge 3x.

Anyways, coming to the natural beauty, its indescribable in words. You can see the hills on both sides. Lava monastry can be spotted on top of the hill from there.

Sikkim border is nearby, so if there's no cloud you can see sikkik yown from here. Sikkim airport is also partially visible.

And last but not the least, at midnight, or 1am, when everything stops. Come to the balcony and enjoy the view around. Its marvellous. Dont talk. Listen carefully and you can hear Changey falls sound (which is 5kms away btw) from the hotel itself. Only heard if you stay quiet.

At from 1am to 4am if you are still awake, just try to capture the moon between the clouds.

You won't get many facilities there, no wifi available. Loadshedding happens often during daytime. But, even then, you won't miss anything. Come with friends in a group. If u come with family, then this isn't that ideal (due to missing facilities)

Situated on the lap of mountain itself Pinewood resort is a blissful holiday home away from the heat n worries of ur native place. The wooden resort comes up with two options, normal 2/3 seater room or the 4 seater Duplex room which is just awesome. Inside duplex room there is a small staircase which leads to another small room at the top and this room is just awesome. From the windows itself u can view the beauty of mountains, be it a heavy rainy day or be it a lucky day which let u see the beautiful Kanchenjunga from ur home itself.
U can easily get the views from ur balcony or room itself, the location is surely a prime one surrounded by Cardamom (bade elaichi) field.
The caretakers are also very good nd helpful. It cost around 500per head per day for 4time meals. Dining space is outside and from the glass window u wd see the mountains right in front of u. Aloo paratha or thuppa or noodles or puri aloo dum in breakfast along with awesome tea, egg thali or veg thali in the lunch, tea n pakoda in evening snacks and finally desi chicken at dinner. U can always opt for something different items, if the ingredients are available they would make it for u happily. Rice roti noddles available.
Rooms are good. 24*7 hot water available nd required at this cold. In summer itself the temp is like 12°, quite cold like winter.
Very nice resort, location n views are mind-blowing, food is grt, what else you wd need!

Stayed here with my family for 3 days! We absolutely loved the cold weather and the rooms. The rooms are made out of pine wood - is a treat for lovers of nature. The rooms on the first floor aren’t sealed so insects do get inside the rooms- one needs to seal the gap between the door sill and the door.

One can hike a bit up into the village and spot tree tomatoes, orchids and plantations of cardamom. Simple food is made at the kitchen and served to the guests at a nominal rate. The homestay grows it’s own veggies!:)

Verdict - Is a great homestay, isn’t a resort. Is a good place for you if you are a nature lover! Absolute value for money.

Stayed at this mesmerizing Eco Resort in Kolakham last week. One of the best places I have ever stayed. Its like heaven on earth. The rooms are at par with a super deluxe category of hotel. Starting from the view from the balcony to the executive duplex rooms everything has been made in an artistic way. The staffs are very guest friendly and are at their top to serve the guests. Amazing Place. Best Resort Of Kolakham. The only resort in the vicinity with Open Lawn for Bonfire. Must visit. Kanchenjungha view Rooms. Great Hospitality.

Beautiful location. Kanchenjunga view is superb. But best is to watch the sunset. The bungalow is right at the middle of cardamom farming and the rooms are as good as a super deluxe hotel. Must stay for nature lovers.
