The ambience was excellent to eat outside. The staffs were very polite and respectful. Very standard way of addressing the guests and taking orders. The quality of food provided there was excellent and delicious. Freshly prepared and served. 5 stars to Rang De Basanti Dhaba. Will recommend to all. Thanks And Best Regards
Food quality is good, but quantity is very less respect to price, You can have 3 butter nun to complete your Dinner it is just so small & thin, but in any other restaurant in town 1 is just enough for one adult. They are charging RS 65/- for one packaged water bottle. Horrible. I am giving 2 star for this reason lootne ka bhi had hota hai. Don’t go for biriyani horrible. Ambiance is good.
The paintings were just awesome but not more than the food! Must visit once and you'll want to go everytime kn special occasions The quotations on the staffs jersey were so cool! I loved it!
Rang De Basanti Dhaba is one of the best Kolkata has to offer. The taste of foods are top notch. The staff and waiters were polite and gave us a nice experience. The ambiance was really nice too. Also it's open at most hours. Overall, amazing experience!
Sorry to say but food quality has detoriated a lot since I visited 1 year back, it seems that lockdown has affected it. Earlier for me it was one of the best Dhaba for North indian food in sector 5.
Some extra charges like hygiene charge, water bottle charge around triple of actual rate, unfair food item charge in terms of quality and quantity and GST charges.
Food is very delicious. Plate presentation is pretty good. Portion size is good. Pocket pinch for 2 will be around 800rs. Approx. Overall it's a very good place to dine in.
Orders were not coming on time. Other people who came late after we came they were given proper food before time. Disgusting restaurant I ever went in my life.
The food taste was good but the service was too slow and we had to wait for sometimes even to get a single chapati. This is not acceptable. Also all the dishes written on menu card was not available which is very dissapointing for a customer like me. Also the food quantity as per cost is very less not justified.
Rang de Basanti Dhabha is in Salt Lake sec 5. A typical busy punjabi restaurant given a Dhabha look and presentation.appreciable job. There is no temp check at entrance but a sanitizer is kept on each table and all employees are in uniform and mask. There is ample distance between each table so that takes care of social distancing. Coming on the food part.we ordered lassi, tandoori roti, amritsari chole and mutton delli style.it tasted awsome.had my appetite allowed.chicken biryani would have enjoyed coming in my mouth Food was served in typical thick alluminium platters which was enhancing the Dhabha feel. So if you are short of time and don't want to upset your taste buds then drop in here and enjoy
Going there is only wastage of money. A lot of money they will charge you instead of having few food. They take a vast amount of hygenic charge. If you take rice daal and curry the will charge about 500 rupees for a single person. So avoid this Rang de Basanti Dhaba. And Save your it's very precious.
Good place with good food. The mirch roti here is a must try, if you can handle the spice. Food prep takes decent amount of time. Overall good food joint with a good variety of food.
Rang de basanti dhaba is quite popular in the vicinity and is mostly crowded due to various offices in nearby area and good north indian food quality. The place has big sitting area and service is good. Food quality is good here and typical north indian punjabi food is served. The prices are on the higher side considering the place and potion offerred but food quality is good and you won't regret visiting this place. The interior is unique with a tractor on display and posters of movies from 70s.
Absolutely loved the food here. I mean everything was perfect in taste. We ordered amritsari chole, aloo do pyaaza, basanti dal makhani, masala kulcha, narangi soda, soda sikanji and all of it was delicious. The staaf was also good.
Very bad food, cost is high but food quantity and quality very bad (ex biriyani, chicken etc). Don't waste your hard work money for this food. Even they take very high charge money for hygiene but they not proper maintain this service.
Overrated place very bad and slow service staffs are not polite and food was tasteless they dnt knw how to make malai kofta simply added another's gravy with kofta's
They were having unique theme. Reminded me of jail in Bollywood film: -p
Good point: - They place were well maintained. The waiter behaviour were nice. Except both card and cash
Bad point: - The cost of food were little expensive as per the quantity i.e. Sabji were less in quantity as per the cost. Had to wait for a long time for ready food.
No doubt about taste of food. Staff are very friendly. Waiting time is less but they used metal plates and glass which are not looks good and few are very old. Prices are slightly above expectation as phirni is 115/-, One 1lt mineral water will cost 60/-, Biriyani quantity is very low. Management should take care of that. Lamp shades are good. Overall nice experience. Car parking possible on the road.
